I am not sure which employee it was but he approached me and I asked if he could walk outside with me to take a look at the flat. Annoyed by the request, he asks me to bring the bike inside to take a look. While I know this may be the way to inspect a bike, I am carrying my two year old son, so I am not going to ask someone to watch him, nor let him roam, while I unhook the trailer and wheel my e-bike into the store. Anyways, he does come outside and seems to quickly turn more annoyed that I do not know the size of my tires or what the exact issue is. He curtly says I'd have to leave my bike with him as he can't do anything about it right now, plus he sprinkles in a mention of a $40 charge for work on an e-bike not purchased there. I clearly didn't have the means to leave my bike right then and there so I said nevermind, and asked if they had any suggestions for a quick fix in the meantime. "Nope" was the response I got. Great...thanks... By the way, there is a quick fix. Slime or FlatOut are pretty cheap products at ACE or Walmart to fix even a flat e-bike fat tire. I'd be shocked to find out this employee wasn't aware of that product. Even if it is just a temporary solution or not. Regardless of the lack of welcoming feeling, I thank you for making me look this up myself so that I could save money and won't need to return to this shop again.

My choices, spend the time getting the cable, figuring out how to replace it, and having to deal with doing things I don't do on a regular basis, and have my trainer down for who knows how long in the middle of winter, or give my LBS a call. Called them and found out they were SUPER busy, and to get it in would likely be a few weeks. Now here is where having a GREAT relationship with the shop and staff comes into play. They know I ride daily, either outside or in, and when I talked to one of the mechanics, I told him what I had found, and the only thing I needed was the cable, which had been shredded because a few years ago we had to replace the original Ultegra shifter with a 105 because the new Ultegras were 12-speed, and those 105 shifters had a known issue with shredding cables. He asked if I could get the bike to him that afternoon, and since I had just gotten off of it, working out with a limited number of gears, I told him I could be right down. Got him the bike (along with something to restock the shop fridge), and had it back by the next afternoon. So: a) Mike's has always come through for me, and I can't sing their praises enough, b) make sure to keep a good relationship with your LBS staff. If they know you, know your name, and you stop by even occasionally to just say hi or help restock the fridge, it does pay benefits. Thanks Guys. Best service department around bar none. Mike and the rest of his team will help you not only figure out what might be going on with your bike (bottom bracket issues, rear hub needing maintenance, headset bearings worn out) and get them fixed. Just had my bike in for a major tune after having put over 35k miles on it and have to say it is riding like a new bike. That is what I look for. And the sales staff is the same, they help you, don't just sell you. Have bought 4 bikes there and when it is time for the next one I will definitely be down there test riding and checking out what is out there.

My bike sat in the garage until I was able to ride again in March. I pulled the bike out and the rear wheel wouldn't spin. I took it to the shop who did the work (C3 outside of Golden)- the tore it apart and found the hub seal had failed (their words). he tried to rebuild it but couldn't, it was totally corroded. He told me they'd send it to Shimano to warranty but that they doubted they would?! He said it would be at least a few weeks, and Shimano would blame the user for not maintaining it properly. I have had great service in the past at Pedal bike shop so took it to them - with the receipt from the purchase in july. They kept the bike and were doing the same thing as C3. They were denied but fought with Shimano on my behalf and they finally agreed to warranty the hub because the seal had indeed failed. They did the work and I got my bike back. A week after getting my bike, I got a call from the mechanic at C3 who told me - as expected - that Shimano denied the warranty claiming it was 'misuse'???! what.. 2 months? I can't ride my bike and get it wet? how did the water get in the hub? from abuse or misuse?? Replace in July and ridden just over 2 months? When I told him that I'd already gotten my bike back and it had been fully warranted by Shimao (because of the diligence of the Pedal staff), he went silent. He just said, "I'm glad you got your bike back". Why would I go anywhere but Pedal? Clearly, they strive to make things right for their customers - they don't just roll over and say they can't do anything. Pedal is the BEST!!! I had always been a Shimano guy - I couldn't be more disappointed in them and will be writing them a letter.

My husband's brakes were rubbing and squealing badly, and my bike gears would slip occasionally. We pulled up to Mike's and noticed that they didn't list Trek on the door, so we called and verified that they were no longer a Trek dealer. Because of the ongoing issues that haven't been addressed correctly by other shops, we decided to take the bikes to Trek in Highlands Ranch for their Trek e-bike expertise. (I should add that we have other bikes that aren't Trek, and we will bring those back to Mike's because they've been good to us for over a decade, and they are also very knowledgeable). When we first went into the shop part of the store, we were met by a really nice young guy working the counter. At first we thought he might have been retail, but as soon as he started telling us all about our bikes, educating me about the shocks and even a clutch I didn't know existed, he listened to our concerns and knew exactly what needed to be done. I was blown away. They told us it might take a week or so to get them back, so we were pleased when we got the call this morning to come pick them up after only a couple days. We had taken our bikes to two different shops three different times in Summit County, but the issues were never fully addressed. My husband said he was going to "immediately go on a ten-mile ride in Denver" before we came back up the mountain to ensure that the bikes were fixed, but he had so much confidence in the Trek shop that he decided to forgo a ride and just come back to Silverthorne. He just returned from a ride and said "it feels like a brand new bike!" He asked me if I would write a quick review to compliment the folks at Trek for doing such a GREAT JOB. Thanks so much!

After having the surgery (2 weeks ago) i wanted to get out but I realized the tubes in my wheelchair tires (they are actually Bike tires) are bad. I called all over for two days from Loveland to Colorado Springs, no one was able to help me (no one carried the size of tubes and if I ordered them they didn't want to install) which is scary when you are dependent on a piece of equipment. I called about an hour ago, I spoke to Matt who was so nice. I shared that I ordered the tubes but haven't been able to find anyone to install, he said I can absolutely do this for you, that made me cry, I've been desperate for help. I'm sitting in the shoe area while Matt installs the tubes for me and in just 30 minutes I will have my mobility back. After physical therapy I will come back to BikeSource Highlands Ranch to purchase my Bike, no matter what state I live in I will be back. Thank you so much Matt and BikeSource.

**WARNING** Monitor Your Purchas History!!! I give this…read morewarning, but even if your purchase history is not correct, they won't fix it unless you report to their customer service desk with information from their website and stand in front of them. I recently purchased a firearm from the Colorado Springs Scheels. While waiting for the Colorado Democrat's "cool down" period to pass, I decided I would register for a Scheels online account to track my purchases. After creating an account, I noticed it actually had all my purchase history, likely from using the same email for digital receipts on previous purchases. While looking at my purchase history, I noticed the firearm I purchased, but then noticed a second firearm purchased 1 minute later... Yet, I only purchased one firearm. The website shows receipts for all the purchases. The receipt for the firearm I purchased shows "Customer: Default Scheels" in place of my name. Yet the receipt for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE shows "Customer: James Parker" and shows it being purchased using two separate cards (a VISA and a MasterCard) - and using my name on the receipt. Additionally, I confirmed they offer a 5% discount for miliary veterans. I showed my veteran ID and then paid the total. Looking at my receipt, the veteran discount was not applied to my purchase... Yet, when I look at "my" other receipt, for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE, it shows Scheels applied the veteran discount to this mysterious second firearm sale using my name and account information and then applying a "Tax Exempt" ID number that I have never seen once in my life. I am not sure if who's information they used for the background check, they say I don't need a new background check to purchase another weapon as long as it's within 30 days... If this is malicious, it would make sense this next sale happened one minute later before a legitimate customer came to the counter. I'm not sure who they will be handing this other, paid for, firearm to - I just hope and pray it's not someone with bad intentions. When I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Kevin. Kevin says this is beyond anything he can handle and that he would require me to return to the store in person to provide them with proof and documentation. After explaining to Kevin that all my documentation is from THEIR website, he still insisted I will have to bring the documentation from their website to their store for them to address in person. I used to think firearms sales transactions require strict record accuracy... until I purchased a firearm at Scheels. But at a minimum, customers should be able to trust that their information is protected and handled appropriately -- especially when it involves firearm transactions. I would highly recommend purchasing your firearms from a ligament firearms dealer before trusting a retail zombie like Scheels for your firearms purchase.

My husband Michael and I had the pleasure of purchasing two electric bikes from him on Saturday, December 13th. As a 64-year-young individual who's never had the chance to learn how to ride a bike as a child, walking into the shop was initially daunting. Throughout my life, I've attempted to ride, but fear held me back. However, with the encouragement of my husband, we decided to take the leap and find a new hobby that would get us fit and active. As we stepped into the shop, the thought of even taking the bike for a spin had me feeling anxious. But Dusty, with his kind heart, shared his own story of learning to ride at 18, instantly putting me at ease. With unwavering patience and confidence, he guided me through the bike's mechanics, teaching me how to seamlessly integrate the gears with the electric throttle. His expertise empowered me to feel confident and capable. Taking the bike for a test drive was exhilarating, and I returned with an enormous smile plastered on my face. I would highly recommend Dusty and the rest of the team in the shop as they went above and beyond with their customer service.
