As an east coast resident, words cannot convey how cool this place is. I literally could stop right there and my review would be over, but Yelp likes whole essays about shtuff. I've been to a lot of places around the globe. More than most people my age could ever hope for, but this place is new to me. In my one visit to this store I rode a Ferris wheel, played bowling, and browsed the largest arsenal of firearms I've ever seen. That alone made my day, but I'm not done yet. This place has more bikes and skateboards than Alpine Ski Shop. Their camping section is larger than Dick's and Cabela's combined. The clothing department is chock full of everything that one would want to pull over their skin. I haven't even mentioned that their prices are average to cheap! Heck, even the employees are kind and helpful! There's literally nothing I can complain about, because I've never experienced anything that compares to Scheels. I literally cried when I walked into this place, because it fulfilled everything my hopes and dreams could possibly muster. I love being critical to mega corporations, and I thought they might have a fascist CEO or something, but that's where it really gets crazy. Scheels is 100% employee owned, meaning DEMOCRACY BABY!!! I barely edited this review, so if you see something weird, I honestly don't care. Moral of the story is that I'm flabbergasted beyond belief. read more

OMG they have everything. If you need anything sports related or not, checkout Scheels. We are visiting from New Mexico and stopped by Scheels. Our son went to one in Pittsburgh and said it was a megastore. He was not kidding. Any sport related product you may need, they have it. Equipment clothes shoes accessories. Everything. They have products at the higher end as well as more midrange. Prices are appropriate. We talked to several staff in different areas and all were extremely helpful. Don't forgot check out the arcade, cafe, candy shop, bowling alley, shooting gallery, aquarium and Farris wheel. It's a family adventure read more

Interesting place! Huge sporting goods store with everything you could imagine. Everyone was super nice and offering assistance. It was packed on Labor day. I dont think the prices were cheap, but standard. Even with sale prices it was pricey in my opinion. The bike selection was smaller than expected. It definitely had mostly shoes, clothes, and typi al sporting goods like baseball and golf. Otherwise the camping section had 2 ton3 options for each item but not as much variety as I would have preferred. Still a cool store. Huge toy selection and even has a café and ferris wheel. read more

One of the coolest stores to just walk around in. There is literally something for everyone there. From camping gear to legos, from bikes to guns, a little of everything, quite literally. Even if you don't buy anything it is still fun to walk around, although it'll be difficult not to buy something... There's also a massive ferris wheel inside and an aquarium right as you walk in. read more

Big, beautiful store carrying a lot of great brands like Free People Movement, North Face and Vuori. While I did not have a lot of time to shop all floors or areas, I look forward to returning when I do have more time to shop some great outdoor and active wear brands. My daughter took me here before a nearby Mother's Day dinner so we only had about 15 minutes to shop, but from what I did see, reasonable prices for durable wear clothing and shoes in a fun store environment. We got through the checkout line very fast and even had time for a photo. See you on my next visit to the Springs! read more

Holy adult candy store! This place is unbelievable with everything under the sun for the outdoors! I thought I loved Bass Pro shops however this is Bass Pro shops on steroids! Bring your check book and your credit card because things can get quite expensive, quite quickly! The employees are all super kind and helpful, and there's everything from guns to fudge to clothing and eyewear! Lots to see, and there's even a Ferris wheel to ride on for only a buck! One of my favorites is the fish tank when you walk in. Check it out, you will not be disappointed with anything except how much you spend there! read more

As a customer l, the experience getting my Trek mountain hike from Scheels has been nothing short of amazing. They made sure everything was perfect, providing excellent customer service, friendly service and overall an incredibly positive experience. the staff here is world class and so are the products. They honored my 90 day trek "tune up" without an appointment or any need to provide extra information. They sought out a resolution and assured me that everything will be promptly resolved. all while engaging in enjoyable conversation and a positive contribution to my day. I'd like to shout out Travis, for his kindness and patience. Listening to my concern all while making me feel welcomed and valued. Thank you Scheels! read more

**WARNING** Monitor Your Purchas History!!! I give this warning, but even if your purchase history is not correct, they won't fix it unless you report to their customer service desk with information from their website and stand in front of them. I recently purchased a firearm from the Colorado Springs Scheels. While waiting for the Colorado Democrat's "cool down" period to pass, I decided I would register for a Scheels online account to track my purchases. After creating an account, I noticed it actually had all my purchase history, likely from using the same email for digital receipts on previous purchases. While looking at my purchase history, I noticed the firearm I purchased, but then noticed a second firearm purchased 1 minute later... Yet, I only purchased one firearm. The website shows receipts for all the purchases. The receipt for the firearm I purchased shows "Customer: Default Scheels" in place of my name. Yet the receipt for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE shows "Customer: James Parker" and shows it being purchased using two separate cards (a VISA and a MasterCard) - and using my name on the receipt. Additionally, I confirmed they offer a 5% discount for miliary veterans. I showed my veteran ID and then paid the total. Looking at my receipt, the veteran discount was not applied to my purchase... Yet, when I look at "my" other receipt, for the firearm I DID NOT PURCHASE, it shows Scheels applied the veteran discount to this mysterious second firearm sale using my name and account information and then applying a "Tax Exempt" ID number that I have never seen once in my life. I am not sure if who's information they used for the background check, they say I don't need a new background check to purchase another weapon as long as it's within 30 days... If this is malicious, it would make sense this next sale happened one minute later before a legitimate customer came to the counter. I'm not sure who they will be handing this other, paid for, firearm to - I just hope and pray it's not someone with bad intentions. When I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Kevin. Kevin says this is beyond anything he can handle and that he would require me to return to the store in person to provide them with proof and documentation. After explaining to Kevin that all my documentation is from THEIR website, he still insisted I will have to bring the documentation from their website to their store for them to address in person. I used to think firearms sales transactions require strict record accuracy... until I purchased a firearm at Scheels. But at a minimum, customers should be able to trust that their information is protected and handled appropriately -- especially when it involves firearm transactions. I would highly recommend purchasing your firearms from a ligament firearms dealer before trusting a retail zombie like Scheels for your firearms purchase. read more

Disney land for adults! Although this is primarily a sporting goods store, it's as tore that both the wife and I love to shop at! The large Ferris wheel in the middle just adds to the Disney atmosphere. This store is about 60 miles from my house but the sales and availability of merchandise is always so good it's worth the drive and the little bit of gas that I spend. The customer service ice is always fantastic which you don't often see anymore today in any retail store. Can't wait for my next trip! read more

Let me start with my only criticism: If you go in looking for gift ideas, this place is SUPER OVERWHELMING! The place is huge. Ok, now the good stuff... This place is HUGE. It has everything, and it's all done in a classy way. Each department, whether that is golf, guns, fishing, camping - you name it - is teaming with knowledgeable, friendly staff ready to help you navigate the shopping experience. They'll also totally leave you alone to wander about if that's your preference. The prices are decent considering that they tend (from my experience) to carry higher quality goods only. There's no cheap crap here, so don't go thinking it's the Walmart of sporting goods. It's not. They have a candy store, a mini arcade, a two lane mini bowling alley, golf simulator, a big fish tank with arches in it you can walk under, and a Ferris wheel smack dab in the middle. A ride is $1 per person. The bowling is $1 per person for 5 frames. Super fun. If you have never been to a Scheels, it's a unique experience. If this place was a gas station, it'd be a Buc-ees. read more

HR department Thank you for responding sooner than the due date that I was given. 2. If Mr. Chris P. wasn't going to select me then 1. Why interview me if he already knew that he was selecting someone else before my interview. 2. I already knew I wasn't going to get the Job not because I'm overly qualified or anything else, I already knew I was going to be wasting my time with Chris because he's responded when he called me to his office  That he was sorry it took more time then needed ( he was referring to the previous interview before me ) Because how is it my time was at 4pm for my interview and 5-10 minutes pass 4pm then get called back and my interview was finished 5-10 minutes before 5pm. The Whole Point is If I did something wrong in the interview that wouldn't allow me to get the job then don't waste my time, with we will send you an email just tell me I'm not getting the job.           LAST THING I applied to 2 different positions for SCHEELS so why can't I getting the maintenance position that y'all have open or anything else. I tried getting Scheels to honor its on-line price match pledge that declared it would match prices on legitimate businesses that had the item in stock. I tried to order on-line at Scheels through its price match guarantee process and the store personnel refused to honor the promise because the item cost was too low. If you can't honor your promise, don't make it. I suspect this type of unethical behavior would catch the eye of state or local commerce regulators. read more

Went to look for some winter gear and ended up with toys. Great place to take kiddos to entertain them and go shopping at the same time. There's a fun Ferris wheel inside and you can either ride it with a token or paying with your phone. So many things to do and so many things to get. It definitely a playground for everyone. The staff is very nice and helpful. The prices seem to be like at any other major sports store or toy store. Had a great time there. read more

This was my first time at Scheels and it was like the Disneyland for adults. Great place for a family visit. They have a huge aquarium towards the front and a very unexpected Ferris wheel that has an overview of the entire store for a very very affordable price ($1). This place has something for everyone, a play place for toddlers, an arcade for older kids, a candy store, a furniture store, a cafe if you're hungry, AND EVERYTHING OUTDOORS. This place was overwhelming and I didn't get to cover every square inch but next time I plan to see everything. Highly recommended place for a fun family visit. read more

What a fun stop! An experience all in itself. Enjoyed walking around and seeing all it had to offer. Beautiful attention to detail and almost anything you need found here. read more

Scheels is a sporting goods store at its core, but it sets itself apart from being just another Dicks or Bass Pro by catering to kids and families. First of, the selection of goods that you would expect is outstanding. They have most popular brands and styles of clothes and sports and outdoor equipment. You can find most anything you're looking. The. There's the entertainment. There is a fairly large Ferris wheel in the middle of this massive store. Not to mention a miniature Seaquarium that kept my kid occupied for almost thirty minutes. There is a restaurant upstairs that sells food and desserts. I have to give the experience a thumbs way up just because my 3 year old loved it. The main problem I have how expensive everything is. I'm not from Colorado so maybe it's just an adjustment but even though Scheels had everything I was looking for, I found better deals either online or at other stores. If I had to compare Scheels to another store, it's Buc-ee's. It's worth it to stop whether you actually buy anything or not. Recommend! read more

Catherine at Scheels was wonderful to work with. She took the time to help me while I was shopping and patiently walked me through how to sign up for the Scheels Visa. She explained everything clearly and made the whole process easy. What stood out most was her attitude. She was genuinely joyful, friendly, and just a pleasure to be around. Customer service like that really makes a difference when you are shopping. Thank you, Catherine, for your help and for making the experience so positive! read more

This place is very expensive, I Absolutely love shopping and looking around, there is a lot to look at. Great shoe selection

It was my first time here and it's a pretty interesting place. The kids didn't ride the Ferris wheel, but it looked fun. They did enjoy the small rubber chickens, but then we found the large rubber chicken and that was really entertaining. Another big hit was the candy shop. Everyone also enjoyed the large taxidermy display upstairs. There's a ton of stuff for sale here from games to hunting equipment, clothing, candy, tailgating items, etc. as well as an arcade section, photo booths, a jeep the kids could sit in, and a fish tank. read more

Worst company ever. avoid at ALL costs for Nike. Drops allow mass market buys to roll out with hundreds of shoes. Misleading. Dishonest.

When they opened several years ago I didn't think we needed another "sporting goods" store. Was I wrong. This place is the best. This place does not disappoint! We've been here a handful of times. One if you have a little, they do have a play area in the back for them. I found that out while walking around. Last visit we purchase a nice pair of yoga pants because I could always use yoga pants :). The employees are friendly and usually easy to find or answer questions. Scheels is amazing! They have everything you could ever want, hours of free entertainment (a few things are $1), and I love that it is a dog friendly store.
