I really wanted to love this place because of all the good things I heard about it. I drove over…read moretwo hours to try it out. I will say that I really loved the huge variety of everything in this store. We arrived on a busy Saturday at around noon (won't be doing that again) but easily found a good parking spot in the giraffe lot. I got a cart for my child and it had a baby steering wheel for her to play with to entertain her. You walk in and are instantly overwhelmed by all of the options- in a good and bad way. I don't think the store is messy by any means, it's an organized chaos. We followed the line of people throughout the different sections and strayed away a few times to look at some items. I liked the pickle barrels with 3/$3 whole pickles with different flavors to choose from. There's a HUGE alcohol section so if that is your fancy then you are sure to find what you are looking for there. The customer service was not very good. Workers had AirPods in and when you went to ask a question they acted like you were a huge bother. I will say that the bartenders at the random bars across the store were so nice. Maybe because a difference in roles? Not sure. What REALLY left a huge distaste in my mouth was the cashier and his helper that was bagging groceries. On my receipt it says Walter. I got up to him and said hello and he stared straight at me. After he was done scanning he didn't say anything at all he was just waiting for my card. My mom was right behind me with her items and got the same treatment. She even inquired about what rang up as $32 because it looked like a candy that was scanned came up as that much and he just stared at her as well. No troubleshooting, no help at all whatsoever. It was honestly like talking to a wall. His bagger also had the same attitude but both had no issue speaking to the cashier in the next lane when they had a question amongst themselves. You could just clearly tell they'd rather be literally anywhere else than working on a Saturday. It was honestly ridiculous to be ignored so blatantly like that. Overall if you need any type of grocery under the sun I would say come here. Don't come on the weekend though. I'd maybe come on a weekday during non peak hours and for sure won't be asking for help from any employee.

While perusing the wonderful assortment of krauts, kimchi, kombuchka, and beet kvass, Jenn fed me samples of the various krauts as she told me all about the lacto-fermented process that makes them tasty and healthy. While I was deciding which flavors to buy, I was struck by the number of people who came by the booth to pick up what appeared to be a regular purchase or to discuss how well the krauts had gone over at Thanksgiving dinner. I grabbed three jars of kraut to go -- Seaweed, Red Apple Caraway, and Spicy Dill. I had the dill kraut on a turkey sandwich yesterday and it was fabulous. The other two are intended as gifts, but with people who I hope will share them with me in return ;-) For a city with as much German heritage as Cinci, the products served up by this small business should be welcomed with open arms. This is kraut like your ancestors used to make, and is pretty much a lost art these days. How inspiring to see a few young entrepreneurs reviving the culture. Cheers!

I bought the brown bottle with the bright label that said "Fab Ferments". At first, honestly, it was weird. Not only did it foam over the top, but a string of cultures sat on top of the foam and kind of creeped me out. But, once I skimmed that stuff off, I took a sip, and loved it! Since then, I grab a bottle nearly every time I'm at Park+Vine, Findlay Market, City Flea, or any other local event at which I see them. I've had their saurkraut but I'm not much of a fan of the stuff in general, so I never buy it. I've never had their kimchi but I'd like to give it a try someday! Even if you're not a raw vegan, vegan, or vegetarian... give this stuff a try. It's yummy, healthy, and made right in our Queen City!

Took the self scan attendant (who mostly just stand around a talk to other staff) a while to come help. Asked where the location was of the product and went there...he came back it was exactly as I told him, with the tag! He still wouldn't adjust it saying "it was for a different type" (BS!) I told him to get the manager and he walked away, came back and said "I can't give you a refund"! Voided the items and left completely pissed off! Never come to this place regardless: people and staff leave half drunk drinks and food in the isles, cluttered, no organization! Never coming to this place again! When someone says to get the manger, you get the fucking manager!

He would not show the video without a police officer there. He flat out lied about the video. He just used the video as a way to easily lie and to get out of situations by knowing he doesn't have to show the video for evidence that he is telling a lie. Then he hung up on us while talking on the phone with us. Horrible customer service. I guess Krogers can only hire liars. Very unprofessional.
