A very nice clean business. They have a grocery, health and beauty section. Some things are higher than they are in other places; however, if you live in a town like me, the price can be worth it when you go out of town anyway. It has my cbd plus and Curcurmin products. I recommend it! read more

How did I not know this place was here?? I stopped into to pick up a packet for a 5k and was amazed! This place was so bright, large, organized and well stocked! I was impressed by the different areas and all the natural products and local products they carry. Even though they were so busy with the packet pickup, the staff was friendly and asks if I had any questions. I will be back and shopping here more often. You must checkout this place! read more

I stumbled upon this store by accident as I came to try out their neighbor, Velocity bike and bean. I was pleasantly surprised to see this next door and even more surprised once I walked in. The inside was much larger than it looks from outside. They have so many great products for the health conscious or someone with special dietary concerns. I have to say there wasn't anything missing! To start there is a small produce section. Next to that I found a great produce preservation tool called the bluapple, which was cheaper than on Amazon! Next I found some healthy bars for on the go, cauliflower puffs, and pork rinds. For backpacking I got some miso soup packets and powdered coconut milk. They have some great honey products and a huge frozen/ refrigerated section. The whole left side of the store is supplements and natural beauty. They have books too! There is even a great pet section! Up front you will find a comprehensive selection of CBD products. Upon going to check out I found out Tuesdays are $2 off, they had another coupon if you spent $35 and a rewards program for earnings back! Shop local folks, this place is a gem and all its employees were knowledgeable and kind! read more

I have always had an amazing experience shopping here with kind and knowledgeable employees that are always there to help. Unfortunately today I come in and its a very young person working alone with a group of three of his friends sitting around the counter. It was so uncomfortable to shop amelessly for what is very expensive products. I will return, but I hope management stops this from happening to their customers in the future. read more

They have anything you need for your health. They are always helpful in finding what you need even when you don't know!

I went in this store out of curiosity since it's next to the coffee shop. The place offers all organic products or everything natural. I am all for organic and natural or healthy living, but I think the prices for the products in the store was pricier than what I can afford. They have kombucha which I really like, but o cannot afford their price which was $3.99. I also like that they have hemp oil, but again it's something I really have to think twIce before paying for that price. It's a good store, I just hope that it will be affordable for frugal people like me The store seemed clean and well organized and plenty of staff to help out any shoppers. They seemed very friendly and nice too. read more

Got strong pollen allergy, and friend told me that local honey may help. So i googled and found this store actually in the area. It's quite unique store, has a lot of stuff. The lady at the store are very friendly, and helped me find the local honey immediately, and also gave me some suggestion on the dosage for allergy purpose. I also walked around the store, they have grocery, vitamin, all kinds of stuff, though I'm not familiar with the brand. The lady also gave me 25% discount for me to sign up for their text message service. It's very nice. I will come back. read more

All kinds of health goodies in this place, I just went to get local honey and ended up walking around for a good 20 minutes. Staff was nice and checked if I needed help finding anything, I was expecting everything to be on the more expensive side but it was actually very reasonable. I will certainly be back(: read more

I've only been here twice and both times the lady's working were so nice and very helpful! Definitely would recommend this store!

The staff at Healthy Alternative is what really makes this store stand out from its competitors. Their vitamin and herbal remedy selection is so expansive that it can be a bit daunting. However, the staff is knowledgeable and can help you find what you are looking for. Recently, I was looking for Slippery Elm capsules for my grandmother (as recommended by her physician). The salesperson didn't even hesitate when I asked where it was; she walked me right over to the shelf. As impressive as their vitamin selection is their natural pet food and care selection can't be beat in Northern Kentucky. Though I'm not a pet owner myself, this would be the only place I would shop for a critter given the recent pet food scares. I talked to a man who drove over 40 minutes to stock up on all-natural pet food at Healthy Alternative. Their prices on most canned and frozen foods can be pricey, but their bulk dried herbs are cheap and relatively fresh. read more

Matt's Natural World - two cars parked in front of a building - Health Markets Near Me - Florence, Kentucky

I've been going to Healthy Alternative for a number of years and though I like supporting local business, I'm often put off by the staff, so my review will differ from the others. I like their selection, and it seems that each time I go, there are more and more local products being sold. That's great! Some of the prices are a bit higher, but when you weigh out driving to Whole Foods in Oakley, it's just as easy to buy your items here if you're in the neighborhood. They are, to my knowledge, the only business south of the Ohio river that carries Dr. Praegger's natural spinach bites for kiddo's. It's the one thing my child WILL eat, so I'm apt to buy them where I can. When I was a week overdue with my baby, I went in to buy some more natural baby items for the nursery. The clerk asked me when I was due, I told her, then she launched into how I should "embrace the pain" of delivery and NEVER let them poison me or my baby--I should have looked into a douala and midwife instead of the hospital...Yes, I was in a Natural Foods store, No. I didn't ask for her opinion. In fact, by that time, I'd had it up to HERE with opinions about "how" I should do things with my baby. Turned me off from going for a time, but I went back. A few days ago, I went in to purchase the spinach bites and a few other things. My little one wasn't feeling well, so I thought I'd look into some vitamins or natural healing methods. As another reviewer posted, it can be overwhelming, but there was only one person in the store, the clerk at the register. So, I read and read, and when I was reading my third pamplet on a spin around display rack in an aisle, another clerk (?) with a customer came right into my space and she said, "That's exactly where I need to be." And then she just stared at me. So, I guess I was supposed to simply move because obviously, this clerk and the customer were FAR more important than anything I could ever need to do. And where was she while I was reading bottle after bottle and pamphlet? So I just went to pay for my items. The other clerk (the one who berated me about natural delivery) was giving a hard time to a woman buying MUCH to expensive holisitic dog food. Apparently, she purchases this food frequently and gets a discount from the manager. This clerk wouldn't budge and said, "I'm not her." Most of things this store carries, I can get at Whole Foods, Kroger, or even Target, now. While I love to support local business, I am less inclined when their staff seem to think they are above reproach where general manners and being polite are concerned. read more

These guys are nice, have a good selection and are willing to order things for you if they don't stock it normally. I bought some organic seeds here for my garden and they grew up nicely. I come about once a week and I enjoy seeing that they aren't afraid to try out new products. Plus they are right next to the Bike and Bean! read more

The best place for vitamins and gluten free foods and desserts. Don't miss out on the good quality and excellent location.

What a gem. Had everything I wanted. Traveling through and just had a nasty lunch. It was really nice to find a place like this!

This is a great local health food store. I normally end up here when I need an unusual supplement of some sort. If you are having a hard time finding what you need just ask one of the staff, they can point you right to it. Their opinions on supplements are pretty good too. While I'm there I usually take a minute to browse their food section and find something that looks interesting. They don't have a huge selection of food but it's definitely worth a look. They also have pet products. read more

I can't see to many reasons to complain. Prices are not that bad. Staff seamed to be nice. They usually have what we need when we are visiting these kind of places. We will keep visiting. read more

I love this store! They have a great variety of healthy foods and products for a small business. The staff is always courteous and friendly and they are very helpful. The only complaints I might have are that they don't have many fresh fruits and vegetables (though they do have a few) and the prices are pretty steep at times. Overall though, this is a great place. I shop here all the time. read more

My husband and I LOVE this store!!! You can find just about anthing here. Remember the episode of SHARK TANK and the two grandmothers who made ICE CHIPS? They sell them here and they are great!!! Good selection of vitamins and all around grocery products. Very expensive and I normally shop at Whole Foods. Though the eggs are a good value. The eggs do come in styrofoam which makes me wonder. I was disappointed that the refrigerated white bread I bought has unnecessary preservatives. I can get preservative free bread at Meijer oddly enough. I'll go for eggs but nothing else. read more

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this store. The staff is friendly and helpful without being overbearing or annoying. I just moved from Wisconsin not too long ago and I'm used to having a lot of healthy stores to choose from. There is not a lot around here in Kentucky, I do like the store, but it is more expensive than what I am used to. And the staff could be a little more approachable and helpful. Since it is the only store around me I will continue to go there for some of my items. It could be a great place if the staff was more friendly and it wasn't so expensive. read more

I'm going to agree with Jonni L. regarding the customer service at this store. I used to love shopping at Healthy Alternatives and was so happy to have somewhere local to buy natural products. But lately, with the addition of some staff members, it's been less than a pleasant atmosphere. I don't care to be criticized and judged by people that should be trying to sell me product and keep me coming back. I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on, even if that means, unfortunately, giving my money to a corporation. read more

Today was not a good day here. Missy the employee is very rude, non smiling and rude toward the customer. Treated a lady with disrespect when she tried to write a check. This is my first yelp but I felt that it was necessary to share my feelings and sentiment towards this store and a particular worker. A few weeks prior to this post I had an interaction with one of the associates, a short blonde girl. I'll start at the beginning, as I entered the building I was greeted by one of the other associates, though they were all busy. As a few minutes past I had some questions and inquiries about certain products etc. This young lady appeared to not be busy and I asked if she could help me, she seemed uninterested and I felt immediately like a bother. I asked her name and she said what sounded like 'Malia'. Prior to asking her for help she was fully engrossed in her phone and frankly i wasn't even sure if she was an employee. Regardless, I asked her a question about a product and to sum up everything she said was "I don't know." I brushed it off, I understand there is a lot to know. I inquired about another product, I asked if there was a cheaper alternative she then responded with "you can probably get it somewhere else cheaper". She then proceeded to leave me in the aisle, which is fine! But when I was finished in the aisle examining products and trying to educate myself on what I could, she was back on her phone. The whole experience left a terrible taste in my mouth. I know the rest of the staff isn't like this, but this girl drove me away for good. read more

great place to do your healthy food shopping! The staff is very helpful. I love that I can just go a couple miles to a healthy store and get what I need verses ordering it on line. read more

Very happy to have the store in the area & they have a variety of products (call before you go to make sure they have what you want). Staff seems polite, most times (except for a pushy guy there). Prices are way too high ! I've traveled all over this nation & this store is way too high on their prices. Somebody's getting greedy. Ugh, healthy food & life style shouldn't lead to more stress, but less. Lower the prices greedy people ! I've found many of my products, online, for way less (mountain rose herbs is just great on prices). read more
