Wow! I have been dealing with Alternative Pest Control well over 10 years. I have never had any problems with the quality of service or customer service! Mark (APC) has always gone over and beyond his call of duty when servicing my properties. Personally I can see how appointments get missed and things get forgotten. With that being said, one just needs to remember that we are only human, mistakes get made & appointments get over looked, we are none of us perfect in any form or fashion. Alternative Pest Control as with any company has bills to pay and cost's that need to be met. By signing a legal binding contract we are expected to do our part and do the right thing. Maybe people should take the time to read and understand their responsibilities before signing any legal document. We as costumers expect a service to be done as is stated, but we are also expected to maintain our responsibilities as stated by the contract that we sign. As human's we must allow for the times that things happen and be understanding. What if there were a horrible accident and someone got hurt? Would you still have to same mind set? If after some 7 years of service, this is the only thing your upset about? I say good luck finding another company that offers the same service for the same low cost. Just as you (Mark) feel you should have come first, I say stop crying, put on your big boy pants and realize that even you are not perfect and I'm sure you have missed appointments before too. This company is amazing! I shopped around and I am glad that I moved forward with Alternative Pest Control. He cleaned up all the spider webs, the spiders are gone and have not returned. We had a HUGE problem with earwigs, they were taking over. They are GONE now too! Ants...GONE! All the other bugs...GONE! I highly recommend this company. I previously had hired Dewey's pest control and my pest problem never went away. They never did their follow up, we called and they never came. When we hired alternative pest they provided good customer service and they paid attention to detail ( something dewey failed to do) Also they treated the problem head on and gave us an idea on what will happen and what not to do. read more

I had a horrible experience with the owner of Alternative Pest Control. He scheduled an appointment to provide services on August 24, 2015 at 9am. I canceled other arrangements to ensure I would be available only to be stood up by the owner. He did not call to give me any explanation whatsoever. That night I received a text message saying he "forgot". He requested to reschedule. I reluctantly agreed, feeling disappointed due to the let down. He did not offer any discounts for his failure. As I took my daughter to school the day of his rescheduled appointment I noticed that he was already In the neighborhood servicing other customers on the block. He made no attempt to talk to me or try and provide any explanation for last weeks failure to show. I couldn't help but wonder why I wasn't first on his list since he didn't show up last week. Upon returning from my 5 minute trip to the school and back, he approached me and informed me it would be another hour until he could start on my house. I felt like my house should be a priority I had several black widows in and around my pool equipment that never get taken care of and have only worsened since he was a no show. I decided at that point due to the poor customer service and his lack of concern for my account, that I wanted to cancel his services. I have 2 young children that go swimming and are in and around areas where black widows can congregate. By delaying me further I didn't feel his services were meeting my expectations. He immediately threatened to sue me over the $49 service fee. I was shocked that after all these many years that he has been servicing my house and has made hundreds of dollars from me he had the audacity to raise his tone and threaten a lawsuit over 49 one dollar bills. In my opinion this is very petty. He also raised his voice and yelled at me that it's in the contract, Who does that? Who raises their voice at a customer they have had for over 7 years? All over 49 one dollar bills. I think it's unreasonable to charge me for services not provided. But to begin yelling and threatening a lawsuit? I think people need to know so they don't go through what I had to go through and experience one of the most negative things I have ever seen an owner of a company do. Please if your considering using a pest control company think twice before using this one. I have severe anxiety over this negative interaction with alternative pest control. I paid him the $49 because he obviously needs the money really bad. He didn't even do any work. In my opinion that is a scummy thing to do. This was his fee for going away and not causing me a day in court over $49. I had to ask for a receipt and he refused to even acknowledge somewhere on the receipt that I was canceling services. Instead the receipt says he's returning on October 15. I can't believe how poorly managed this company is. I am in shock over the way this person conducts business. This is another notice to the world that I forever cancel my services with Alternative Pest Control for eternity. I will never request the service of alternative pest control. He threatened to sue me if I tell anyone that he gave me poor customer service or that he failed to show up for service the week prior. He claims that this is Slander, but the truth is not slander it's the truth. He accused me of going to his competitors. That's slanderous because in fact I have not yet called any competitors. I thought we lived in a free country the United States of America where if you have Poor service you can tell whoever you want whenever you want as many times as you want until you get tired of telling whoever you want and then when you get some rest and aren't tired anymore you can, if I'm not mistaken tell everybody else you forgot to tell about the poor service experience you had. It's called freedom of speech. I hope you buy something nice with that $49 because I'm going to definitely encourage some competition in my neighborhood. Sprayed in less than 10-15 minutes. Ants have been seen daily for the past three weeks. Called for follow up service and owner hung the phone up after stating wait 2 more weeks. Rudely asked if I can count weeks. I have had pest service and ants fully gone in 1-2 days. This is the worst service ever, bad attitude, no follow up with too many excuses. We have had Mark from Alternative Pest Control coming to our house for over 10 years to deal with pest problems. He has always been professional in his approach to doing the job. I have made several emergency phone calls over the years to the company because of various pests such as mice, and and fleas. He has always responded back by phone within a day. He has even scheduled us for additional pest control when needed. We have no cockroaches since Mark took over our pest control. I hate ants, HATE them, and the ants are an annual problem and Mark will hunt down the nest and get rid of them quickly. We also have fat, lazy cats who I think the mice have paid off to have winter quarters inside the house. Mark deals with the problem mice as needed in our house. They see him coming and are not happy mice. Mark has made recommendations to us about things we can do to keep the house pest free. I like the once a month pest control services he offers.
