I refuse to take my car back to Toyota of Dallas to fix an issue with window tint as their service reputation is as bad as they come. Figured I would rather pay to have repair done than have my car damaged or deal with inept and dishonest car dealership. Well, in a matter of a few minutes, Dave looks at the problem, whips out his razor and with quick precision simply carves out the problem at no cost to me. Now I can open/close window without hearing crinkling noise and now it isn't bothering me enough visually or otherwise to pay for tint replacement. Wow. *WARNING* DO NOT GET YOUR WINDOWS TINTED AT ALTA MERE. I got my windows tinted here and after 5 days I noticed little bubbles on all my windows which my back window had over 30+ bubbles. I took my car back to Alta Mere and talked with Randy (owner or manager) and he said there's not much he can do it's normal. I got my previous car tinted and there was no bubbles in any of the windows so I even took my car to 3 different car tinting places to verify and they told me my tint was done "half ass." Randy refused to give me a refund or redo my tint. I paid almost $400 for the job. This is the worse service I have ever received. I just bought a 45K car and now the windows make it look horrible. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE TO GET TINT. *UPDATE: I went back to Alta Mere today to get 3 windows re-tinted that Randy promised me. When I arrived I told him I went to 3 different tint places to get it inspected. Randy said, "I saw the review." Now he told me he changed his mind and will only do my back window that has 30+ bubbles since I won't work with him even though I have lifetime warranty and one of the windows was peeling. After extensive research on tint shops I decided to go to Alta Mere based on the good reviews I found as well as some great spring specials they were running. I called and talked to the owner Randy and discussed which tint would be best for my needs. Surprisingly he recommended the least expensive lifetime warranty film they offer (my car doesn't have advanced electronics that the metalized film may interfere with). I scheduled an appointment for Saturday. I took the car in and the check in process was quick and efficient. I brought the car in at 1pm and was promised it back around 3pm. The car was finished as promised and when I came back to pick it up I could instantly see the difference! The car looked FANTASTIC with the new tint. After giving the tint a couple of days to smooth out I am happy to say that it was done PERFECTLY. The film was expertly cut and precisely installed. There are cheaper places to get your tint done, however I don't know that you will be as happy with the results. I think Alta Mere did a fantastic job at a great value! Had the tint replaced on the door windows of my 2018 Challenger this morning. Sean and Dakota were exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They walked me through my options and helped me decide the correct block for my needs. There was no pressure and no judgement if I'd wanted to go darker than street-legal. They pointed out some flaws with the existing tint on the back windows so that I would know about them but since I was already there, we replaced those as well. I'm so glad I did! Took my car in for the Wincos tint as part of the deal I had with the dealership, so I got a really great deal on upgrading to the Wincos which I had on the last car and wanted on the new ride (trust me, it's worth the extra money). But their pricing does seem in line with everybody else, it was a little less expensive than the last place I had tinting done at for the same tint.They had the job done in around 2 hours just as promised. I would recommend you make an appointment and don't just walk in. Also, I would check to see if they have any coupons available on their site before going. If I had one small suggestion it would be to put a little caution sticker over the window buttons so you don't accidentally roll down the window. I put tape over mine just to be safe (I'm forgetful, don't judge me!) but the last place I went did this and I thought it was a nice touch. read more

To make a long story short - only this vendor had good reviews... they are not the cheapest however, their website provided good information and education on different options. They have been in business for a long time and seems to have all I was looking for. Currently they are running some soft of 'winter' special with great discounts on some great film. I went with Wincos based on its specs. Since not many people do window tint in the winter, I got there at lunch around 12:30 and was out in 45 minutes. Alta Mere is honestly great. Wonderful, friendly service. I had my windows tinted by them in 2001 or so and it lasted a good 10 years. I recently bought a new car and had trouble with the dealership tinting it. i had to have it done 2 times and taken off by the dealership, they did a pretty terrible job. They said i should expect bubbles on all the windows. ha! I took it by Alta Mere and Randy said no they just did a bad job. Alta mere just did mine today and i am so happy with it. It looks great.
