DO NOT buy a vehicle from this man or his business, unless you have a current smog certificate from a reputable shop and have it examined by a reputable mechanic. BACKGROUND: Mehran Salami recently sold a car to a friend who is trying to help a homeless person who needs a car. He showed documents that it had passed smog in July 2023- there was only 500 miles difference on the odometer between when my friend took it to be smogged at another shop. Now: it won't pass smog without thousands in repairs. What happened to the car from July to February? How could a car develop major mechanical problems after being driven only 40 miles? Salami had the car's title- but it was still in another person's name. He sold it to my friend as a "personal" sale. This sounds intentionally fraudulent and deceptive: Why would the manager of an "Auto Service and Sales" business do a personal sale of someone else's car- except to deceive the buyer re:the smog problems? And after reading the reviews: it's not the first time this has happened. There are comments from others, describing similar shady deals with other cars sold at the lot that don't pass smog, or were sold without being ID'd as salvaged. Until this man and/or his business are willing to take this car back and refund the money in full: I will be helping my friend to resolve this with state agency oversight, including filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs, and alerting other agencies of his deceptive, fraudulent business practices. If you have had similar problems- file complaints here https://www.bar.ca.gov/complaint

Odometer reading at this time was 102, 916. I purchased this vehicle from Mehran Salami for $2500 cash on Jan. 31, 2024 (2 of my housemates with me), with odometer reading of 103,431. This vehicle was "Not Ready" to Pass Smog on Feb. 7, 2024, at ASAP Smog Test at 1776 Palm Avenue, San Diego CA 92154. Since then, Firestone Complete Auto Care at 950 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach 91932, has discovered that the rear Catalytic Converter must be replaced (quote $2600), Fuel Injector must be replaced ($484), Spark Plugs must be replaced ($672), and the Rear Main Seal Replaced (Est. $500-$1500). With only 515 additional miles on the Odometer between the 7/15/23 "Passed" Smog Test at Smog Pros and Seller Mehran Salami's sale to me on January 31, 2024, there is no possible way all these components failed since the 7/15/23 "Passed" Smog Test. NOTE: According to his LinkedIn Profile, Mehran Salami is the Manager of M&N Auto Auto Service & Sales located at 344 Walter Way, El Cajon CA 92101, less than a 1/2 Mile from Smog Pros. Mehran Salami listed this vehicle for sale on Craigslist and showed it to me at his home at 16683 Deer Ridge Rd, San Diego 92127, did not disclose that he is an Auto Service & Sales manager.

If you work with Perfect Match Auto not only can they help you find the right car, for the right price, but they are also capable of making sure it is transported for you in a safe, reliable manner. Which is something I needed help with due to my ideal car being hard to find in San Diego. Rest assured, if you need a car, any car, that is purchased at a reasonable market value price, you can count on Perfect Match Auto. Mike knows what he is doing and loves cars as a hobby too. As a car enthusiast, I recommend him. For a daily driven commuter, I recommend him. And being someone who only found comfort buying from Carmax in the past instead of used car dealerships, I even recommend him instead of Carmax as their market value "set" car prices are not always competitive. At least not as competitive as Perfect Match Auto can be for you. Read my other reviews, it will show that this one is genuine. Just as my fantastic experience was. Give them a call. This car was not my style, it was outdated and old (1995 honda accord.. yes some people still drive cars from the 90's lol). I decided it would be a smart idea to sell it and get some extra pocket change for shopping, taking the kids out. Well that's how I came across this company. In my search of finding a place that buys vehicles I came across this service. I definitely had no idea what to expect going into it so I went on yelp and couldn't find any reviews at all (hence why I'm writing this). Essentially what happened was I called them up. I was asked a few questions like the year of my car, and the condition etc. you know standard stuff so they can formulate an offer on the car. Anyway they ended up giving me a pretty good offer over the phone. So my next worry was are they going to actually pay me that price or are they just giving me some high offer over the phone to get themselves here. Well, I gave it a shot and had them come to my house. When they inspected the car they stuck with the initial quote that they gave me over the phone. So, when they give you your offer I think that they will stick to the price (I can't guarantee it but that's at least what they did for me). So, what about customer service? The customer service was fantastic. They had a receptionist named Emily who was extremely kind. Also the person that they had come look at the car was also very nice. I do believe this is a useful service, especially if you need to get rid of a car fast like I did. However, the reason why I gave four stars is because you can get more by selling on your own. So it's more of a convenience trade off. Would you rather sell your car now and get a little less or do you prefer dabbling around and waiting for the right buyer. I know personally I just wanted the thing of my hands so it worked out well for me.

To cut to the chase it took a bit of investigating and scouring around yelp to find a place like this (honestly I wasn't sure if these places even existed). This place is a real gem and you'll be glad you found them. The level of customer support was amazing and they really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Not to mention the knowledge that they possessed it literally blew me out of my seat. Think about it when you sell a car you and the person buying the car probably have only done it once or twice in your life, with We Buy Cars they've probably done it thousands of times so basically no situation is unique to them. Which means they were able to detail exactly how to do the paperwork to clear the car out of my name and all that legal stuff. Long story short, they gave me good value for my 2004 corolla and I was able to take that money and get that BMW I now need.

My daughter was involved in a car accident the week of her high school graduation, leaving us scrambling to find a replacement vehicle at the worst possible time. We drove from North County to East County to South Bay searching for the right car and what immediately stood out about M&M Motors was the quality and cleanliness of their inventory compared to other dealerships we visited. My daughter had her eye on a Volkswagen at Manny's on her first visit but unfortunately it sold before she could return. She then set her sights on another vehicle and when the timing of her insurance settlement made it difficult to purchase immediately, Manny graciously held the car for her until she was ready. That kind of integrity is rare and it meant everything to us. After losing out on vehicles at two other dealerships during this process, it was such a relief to work with people we could genuinely trust. Manny and Jim treated my daughter with warmth, honesty and patience from start to finish. If you are in the market for a quality used vehicle look no further than M&M Motors. These are good people doing honest business and we could not recommend them more highly.
