I ended up foolishly paying $1,200 more for a fish finder that turned out to be a bait and switch. The Lowrance fish finder, as you can buy it as a consumer, has both sidescan and downscan features. The wrong transducer was installed in the boat. It was an total pain to get this point across to Richard. I sent many emails and photo proof that it was the wrong transducer. Apparently it takes several weeks for C&C to send emails to Ranger and I was told to, "Please be patience [sic]." After bugging Richard multiple times (actually about literally 30 emails), he finally got Ranger to agree to install a new transducer. I naively assumed they would install the sidescan AND downscan unit, which is the common version available to the consumer. But then didn't. I drove for five hours to have them install a transducer than only had downscan. And I didn't figure this out until I was on the water. I would have gladly paid the difference in getting the right unit, but Richard/Ranger again baited and switched. On top of it, he tries to make the customer feel bad for asking him questions and bothering him, after just having spent many thousands of dollars. I went out of my way to deal with a mom-and-pop shop. Thinking that was a naive choice.

Don't rent here. This is my first yelp post ever and because of how bad my experience was, I had to…read moremake one so i can warn you about their unprofessionalism. My family and I rented a jetski from this company called Double D (Owned by a guy name Dennis and his son D.) when we went to a lake for the weekend on the 3rd week of June. The rental fee per day was $350 (expensive to begin with but they were the closest one to the lake) with a $500 deposit. The jetski was a 3 seater and an older model too. Anyhow, a rope got caught inside the propeller area and we didn't know exactly what happened at first until we dropped off the jetski but we told them that the jetski had stopped working. They accused us that we knew what had happened but we really didn't cuz we checked the exhaust and didn't see anything stuck (they found out cuz they looked under the jetski and we wouldn't have known about it). I told the owner to call me once he finds out so i can authorize it or have a 2nd opinion from another professional jetski mechanic on whether the propeller needed replacement. Well, I never received any calls and he charged me the $500 deposit. When I called today, he said that he felt that he didn't need to give me a courtesy call because he was "hooking me up". he said that the cost was over $730+ on labor and parts and he only charged me my $500 deposit. i told him that i have been waiting for a call and deserved an explanation if i was going to be charged that much. I told him that I did not authorized that and he should have called me. I asked for receipts and an invoice but he said that he can't provide that or he can give it to me, but he'll have to charge me the "extra amount" i supposedly owed. It just just not make any sense at all. He was upset and defensive when i called him out on that. So his ultimatum was, either take the $500 loss, or i get an invoice worth $730+ and pay the difference. Is it me or that just sounds like a very bad business? Karma will get them back and I will also report this to "BBB".

As soon as we got the jet ski into the water at 11:30 we could tell there was a problem. The jet ski was very unstable. We tried to have 2 people ride this jet, it would max out at 15 mph. I called Dennis the owner, to have him bring us a new jet ski. He said "no" but we could load this jet ski up and come back in to town and exchange it with an other one. Which we did. We got back out on the lake at about 1:00. Well the second jet ski topped out at 5 mph and died on the way to our spot on the bank. I called Dennis again who offered to refund our money or bring us a 3 setter jet ski. We wanted to salvage our last summers day on the lake and we accepted the the 3 setter. By the time we actually got out on the lake it was 3:00. We did have a great 3 hours on the lake. My story doesn't end there. When we went to return the jet ski, the first thing the guy did was go straight to the under side of the jet ski and told me that we had put dings in the jet ski. He advised me that we were to have only use the anchor and not to put jet ski onto the bank. When I pointed out that I was never told to this, he said well, with everything that went on with the exchanging of the jet ski and after all HE WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP ME OUT (really?) he must have neglected to have told me that. ( we only pulled the jet on the the sand so there was NO way we could have done any damage to under side of this jet ski). In the end I did get my deposit back. I could not and would not recommend Double D Power Sports in Oakdale. Which is too bad because they are very close to Woodward Lake and I would like to have rented from them in the future but it is way too risky!

It was a partial aluminum panel against a window running along the front edge of my trailer. Not a too complicated repair, but you still want the repair to hold up and NOT look like a repair. Customer service was simply amazing. Rachelle was on top of every thing. From my initial call to responding to my calls and emails, and delivery, she was on top of it. Being the face of the company, you always want someone who knows how to take care of you and answer all your questions. If she didn't have the answer, she got back to me in a timely manner. She dealt with my insurance company and I rarely had to relay any information back and fore. As for the repair, the repair looks great. Paint was matched very well, but to be fair, my trailer is only 5+ years old at the time and well-cared for. The biggie was them matching the decals on my trailer for the panel that was repaired/replaced, which was great. The only evidence something was done was with new sealant. That being said, I did find some minor things like a loose marker light that was not properly sealed and secured, and similar things to tighten up. Because I maintain my trailer frequently from washing to tightening things up, like most trailer users should do, it was not hard to spot. Overall, I am very happy with the work provided and incredibly impressed by the service provided by Rachelle. I would highly recommend them from my experience. That being said, I have only taken the trailer out a few times on short trips under mild conditions since the repair. I will provide any appropriate updates if I have any issues.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I'm concerned that this company generates More revenue from charging people for damage, than actual rental services. There was superficial aesthetic scratches as you can see in the photo. We were told, that these tiny scratches are worth 25% of the entire cost of the part ($1400). Do you think these scratches justify 25%? In reality, it's more like 0.1% of the cost. --so how many customers will they do this to? 10? And reap a 250% return on this part? -HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. I'm all for paying for damages but this is ridiculous. The money maker is charging customers for cumulative replacements. You're NOT SUPPOSE TO PROFIT OFF DAMAGE CHARGES. Or is that the entire point of this business? If you've been ripped off by this business, please reach out, as we may be interested in class action litigation.

They only have one person working on Sunday so I waited over 2.5hrs to make my return. Waited outside their gate for 40mins. Another rented was already waiting. The only person there takes 45mins to do his return inspection. After waiting for near an hour the renters in front of me finally got escorted off the property. Upon inspecting my rentals he pointed out a scratch on my jetski rental. The scratch was pretty superficial. The seadoo sparks are made mostly out of plastic and polytec unlike traditional jetskis that are made of mostly fiberglass. Fiberglass damage needs repairs to prevent more damage to the surrounding fiberglass, however, the plastic and polytec damage does not need to be repaired. The small scratch was the size of a pinky fingernail clipping from a part that was nearly the entire surface of the ski. Basically the area you would stand on. The parts price was quoted at ~$1200. His inspection required me to pay for a 1/4 of the $1200 part and 1/4 of the labor it would be to replace the part. A quarter of the price was ridiculous in my opinion. I asked if he could give me deal and give me 1/10 of the cost for parts and labor. It seemed more reasonable than paying over $300 for a scratch in some polytec/plastic that was likely intended to take some abuse. I was surprised he was even considering that small scratch as damage. It blow my mind that they would do this kind of BS to a customer. By the looks of it, this has happen before. The pictures indicate the part that would be replaced. Again, my scratch was the size of a little fingernail clipping. The part is massive in comparison to the scratch.
