Very knowledgeable and friendly. If you need anything they will go out of your way to help you.

Bobs Marine boats, Very nice and honest people and very knowledgeable . Definitely the place you would want to take your boat to Get something done if you want it to be done correctly! The owner had alot of experience and boat knowledge which was extremely helpful. We bought a boat there today and plan on doing all of our boat repairs and maintenance here . Thank you for the positive experience Mike and Debbie read more

They do good work and stand by on what they say they will do! The young Mechanic does real good work. Also, everyone there is really friendly and listens to what your needs are! read more

I called and asked about having the yearly service on my outboard, was quoted almost $750! Asking what that included. Oil change, impeller service and gear oil was basically its majority of the cost was labor. I decided to go another way, this seemed a bit pricey to me. read more

Bill, Thank you for your honest and timely service on our pontoon boat! We appreciated you getting us back in immediately 3 months later to check one of the items serviced. That is great serve in my opinion. It's nice having a local marine shop and store that provides this kind of service. Thanks to John too for making the boat run better than it ever has! Much appreciated! read more

I couldn't be happier. Another boat shop didn't act interested and were months out on service. Bobs was a few weeks out but easy once we delivered the boat. read more

I give this place a huge hi five Bob is a very honest and knowledgeable boat mechanic. At Bob's Marina there staff is very professional and courteous to there customers. They did an outstanding job on my boat repair. I highly recommend this place! read more

Normally, I write detailed reviews, isolating specific aspects of a business' performance and service. I write reviews in such a manner as I would hope that if a member of my family had read the review that they would receive good guidance -- whether the guidance is positive or negative. In this case, detail is completely unnecessary. Bob's Marine fails the most fundamental test. They are unworthy of trust. read more

I needed a new sail for my boat and after some research I discovered this shop. How ever upon driving up to the shop I noticed a trailer with the word "FAG" spray painted on a trailer parked in their lot. The word was among many tagged on the trailer how ever it seemed to be the only slur the owner of the establishment didn't feel the need to paint over. I have driven past this shop a number of times over the past year and the slur remains ever prominent. I can't imagine shopping anywhere that would openly display this type of hatred. read more

Bob's is my go-to marine service center. Been going to them since 1987. Have always received professional help and service from them. You just can't beat them. Thanks Bob's! read more

Great people to do business with, new motor took awhile to arrive but when it did they had it on boat quick and professional.

Wow not very friendly or helpful.. they had me on hold for 10 min. Then didn't know if they had what I needed so I just went in and no help found what I needed by myself.. read more

This place was a nightmare, took my boat here and they kept it for about 4 months and said it needed new carbs so I bought brand new carbs and they said those were also all bad. So I went through hell returning them and got another set for 1500$ and they said those were also bad. I called bass pro and asked them what it could be and they said to check vent line to see if it's clogged. Bobs said we checked that in the very beginning and that they would check again. Yep that was it all that money for nothing. Told a friend to not go there and he did, next thing you know they broke his boat worst then it already was. Please don't go there. read more

Class a service. Prices are reasonable. Very knowledgeable group of people. I will be back there. They got us in for a dealer inspection on brand new Yamahas and my family is very thankful. read more

Look here yelpers Bill and his service dept took on my basket case of a situation with ease honesty and a positive attitude. I bought a 40k$ north river from pop yachts in Oregon. First time out the oil filter fell off and the motor blew up. Service shop in Oregon used wrong filter.... Bottom line is if I were him I would have steered clear of this bs. I'm back on the water and happy as hell. Thanks guys couldn't have done it with out you. Look forward to having my boat serviced at Bobs in the future! read more

Crooks. Didn't know what they were talking about apparently. Sold my husband a car part that made our boat completely illegal - not to mention doesn't even run right. Furious with them. We will NEVER go back. Hundreds of dollars down the drain and our boat is worse than it was when we brought it in. read more

I bought a Champion bass boat from this place and I have to say, they really suck! Things were missing from the boat, I found some damage and they still owe me some stuff that they promised!!! It's been weeks since the purchase. They never call you to update you nor do they care. All they do is tell you to wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.............. Before you buy a boat from this place, make sure to thoroughly inspect it. They won't tell you if you don't ask. I found out the hard way. I'm still trying to get my stuff from them. We agreed on Jan. 5 what was to be on paper when boat arrives. Bought boat on Jan.16,2010 Today is Feb. 4!!!!!!!!!!!! I have resorted to calling Curtis Ming at KCRA, writing a looooooong letter to Champion headquarters and getting an attorney. That is how bad this place is. read more

I took my boat to get serviced. They said it would only take a few days. I thought that was fine since I needed it the next week. I called several days later and they said it wasn't ready yet but would call me. No call the next day so I called again. Same thing. Then I called the next day and said I needed it done that afternoon. Finally they had it ready. Then when I went to pick it up I waited 15 minutes before someone finally helped. This place sucks. read more

This place is bad. Customer service sucks and service personnel are poorly trained. Took my boat there last year and everything they worked on is still a problem. As a matter of fact, I now have an $1800 repair that is a direct result of their earlier work/incompetence. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. read more

Stopped by today and picked up a fuel pump for sunsetter mercruiser. Ken the parts guy was informative and helpful on installation etc...Been here half dozen times for the past 3 years with always a positive experience. That is why I have given a 5 star. read more

If you value customer service avoid this place. I was walking the lot to check out a boat that was posted on Craigslist and although a couple staff members noticed me, they made no effort to even acknowledge me. After 10-15 minutes i just left. Save your time and check out another dealer interested in selling boats. read more

I first must say, the parts department know there stuff, Ken in parts was always informative as well as helpful! As for the SERVICE DEPT. Warning Stay Away!!!! I Believe Bill runs or should I say Ruins that Dept. Lower end unit was damaged, took the boat in on 9/5, also needed the thermostats replaced and check my auxiliary oil tank. My Boat sat in their yard from the 5th until 26th. Never looked at the oil tank or the thermostats, let alone order up the lower end replacement! Bill tried to put it on my insurance company for the delay....NOT.... I've been with them for 28 years! This wasn't my first rodeo using my insurance co. I thought as informative as Ken was in the Parts Dept. the rest of the Business was the same! WRONG!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! You've been warned...... read more

My employer bought a boat and trailer here six years ago and registered it incorrectly with the DMV. I had to deal with it this week, which involved researching this old invoice for a value assessment. The gentleman who helped me on the phone today was very helpful and patient, and got what I needed to resolve my problem. Great customer service! He did make me promise to buy five more boats from him this year - would love to try! read more

My experience with Bob's Marine has been great! I recently bought a boat on craigslist and brought it to Bob's to get looked at. Naturally I was a bit scared at what the report might come back and how much $$$$ it would cost. Of course there was some items I needed to take care of with the motor and a few other things but what was great was the mechanics had no issue whatsoever showing me exactly what was going on, why it is a concern and how to fix it. I was clear to me these guys know what they are doing. As a boat owner you must be aware that the per hour cost of labor is much higher than a normal auto mechanic. I think it would be tough for most boat repair places to have a great review because most people end up paying a lot each visit. But the fact that these guys are honest and skillful, I dont see why they dont deserve a 5 star rating. read more

One star is too many... As anyone can see from the reviews below, Bob's has a bad reputation. I bought a boat from a guy named Jack who works there and said he did all the 'tune up' and repair work there. He said a customer came in and wanted to buy a new boat and was willing to trade in his 23' walk around for cheap so Jack bought it at a great discount. Jack said it was to be a gift for his son so Jack spared no expense to tune this boat to perfection before learning that his son was unable to keep such a large boat at home so he decided to sell it... Yeah, I know, how does anyone believe a b.s. story like that? Later, after the extent of this fraud was clear, I found that Jack lied to me extensively about the history and condition of the boat so I called Bob's to be sure he worked there and did the work to this boat there. Bob's confirmed that much of the work (including mounting the engine more than 6" too low) was done at Bob's so I expect Jack is in good company there. It turned out that the motor had come from a military auction and had a crankshaft oil leak that was virtually un-repairable. Poor repairs to the hull had been painted over with bottom paint and one literally ripped off while on the water! The trailer they (I now know) salvaged and cobbled together to put under this boat was never even balanced to the boat. It would have been helpful to know this before getting on the freeway where the fishtailing I experienced nearly resulted in a huge crash... When I got home I discovered that the 6,300 pound boat had just over 200 pounds of weight on the tongue! In the end I had to replace both the motor and the trailer due to this fraud. Buyer beware, don't trust Bob's but especially don't trust 'Captain Jack'! read more

Walked in, looked around for help found a women , she approached me, I asked if I can have my stern drive serviced, she said she would get someone which she did. She said he will be right there, took him another five minutes to reach me awhile bullshitting with another customer. Then another customer came into the store, then the person I was waiting for started to help this customer, I was like REALLY!. He gets his tape measure and started to help this other person. I said to myself I'm out of here. Terrible customer service! read more

Love Bob's Marine!! Fast, reliable service. Bill provided great customer service and addresses customer needs. Dropped our boat off on Wednesday, got it back on Saturday. Great service, prices and customer service!! Only place we'll ever take our boat! read more

Worst customer service I've ever had I went in with my brother-in-law and my nephew to go look at boats for the summer ask for help they said they'll be right with me I waited for 20 minutes and never received help I went back to ask for help again and they ignored me I was not helped again so after 45 minutes of no help I just walked off and went to another Marina read more

Took my pontoon boat there and didn't see it for two weeks and when I did I had over a thousand dollar bill for a annual service on a 40 hp outboard. The carpet on my boat had oily boot prints that the service tech left behind. I asked them to shampoo the carpets and they refused. Absolutely terrible customer service and apparently incompetent service techs as they literally had the boat for 15 days for an annual. Please don't take your boat here for service. read more

took boat for simple servicing . But ended keeping for 2 days doing nothing and returning with huge bill. Dont recomment them.

Bobs Marine?? Don't think they can fix anything. I took my boat in for an oil leak. They called a few days later to tell me it was the oil tank. 700.00 to fix. I gave them the ok. A few days later they called and said it was ready. Picked it up and brought it home. Next morning I had the same problem. Took it back. They said they would check out. One month later they had not done anything. I wanted my 700.00 back. NOT they said I needed it. Took boat home out the money, and still had the same leak. read more

I also have had nothing but the best service when it comes to service at Bob's Marine. Bought my boat here 2 years ago, have had serviced 4 times since (annual service and oil changes) I bought the boat; boat always comes back as clean as I brought it in, and a thorough description is always briefed to me on what work was done and what things I may need to look out for. Fair priced, good customer service, highly recommended. read more

This place is great. We take our boat here anytime we have a problem or when it needs an annual service. Great customer service from the tech guys. I always feel comfortable and confident on the water after I pick up my boat from these guys. They really know what they're doing and they make sure you know exactly what was done with your boat. We also go to the fishing tournament that the owner puts on every year at Clear Lake which is always so much fun. The technicians are there the whole weekend and are quick to help any of the fishermen with problems with their boats. I would recommend this place to anyone who cares for their boat and wants it well taken care of. read more
