[This review was from back in 2018] Bought a brand new Ranger bass boat here. They are really good at getting you credit and getting you all signed up to pay for the boat. I ended up foolishly paying $1,200 more for a fish finder that turned out to be a bait and switch. The Lowrance fish finder, as you can buy it as a consumer, has both sidescan and downscan features. The wrong transducer was installed in the boat. It was an total pain to get this point across to Richard. I sent many emails and photo proof that it was the wrong transducer. Apparently it takes several weeks for C&C to send emails to Ranger and I was told to, "Please be patience [sic]." After bugging Richard multiple times (actually about literally 30 emails), he finally got Ranger to agree to install a new transducer. I naively assumed they would install the sidescan AND downscan unit, which is the common version available to the consumer. But then didn't. I drove for five hours to have them install a transducer than only had downscan. And I didn't figure this out until I was on the water. I would have gladly paid the difference in getting the right unit, but Richard/Ranger again baited and switched. On top of it, he tries to make the customer feel bad for asking him questions and bothering him, after just having spent many thousands of dollars. I went out of my way to deal with a mom-and-pop shop. Thinking that was a naive choice. read more

Had another trolling motor and depth finder installed at C & C Marine, again Greg did a great job. I'm very happy with his work. It's a bit of a drive, but C & C Marine is my go-to place for my marine service. I don't mind the drive for quality service. read more

Richard is great and his finance people were very helpful. Despite the minor set backs with the Mercury recalls he maintained an amazingly professional attitude and solved all my concerns. I would not hesitate to buy another boat from them a second time. He is a truly honest and soft spoken salesman. Sign and drive experience took less than an hour. Give these guys a call and no matter what happens they make it right. A trusty team that stood behind the products they sell and any errors that occurred with the manufacturer. Hard to find people as calm as Richard in a sales industry. I'll be back in a few years for my upgrade. read more

I had a small but tough problem. Someone had stolen the only boat key to my Ranger. Internet directed me to Bass Pro having bought out Ranger, call them they told me to take the ignition out and bring it down. I took it out and then when I got down there they tell me we don't sell Ranger parts, or work on Ranger Boats. they tried to find me somebody on the internet and they couldn't find anyone but themselves. I went out in the parking lot and called C C Marine and got James on the phone, he took the time to listen to the whole thing found me the exact right ignition then took the time to go through the 10 wires one-by-one and match up the colors to mine. You shipped it to my house I got it in two days and put it in this morning works perfect. A lot of help for an $80 sale. Thanks a bunch of guys I'll come back for any boat work for sure & refer you to anyone I know. read more

BF took his boat here for maintenance/service. Although, they maybe a little pricey, it's worth every penny. Their boat mechanic is very knowledgeable and his work definitely proves it. It may take a while to be scheduled for an appointment, however, it's worth the wait. Highly recommend. The mechanic is very professional and respectful. I was looking for an aluminium boat from Ranger and met with Richard at his Modesto store in 2/1999. Richard came off very relaxed during our first meeting and I found that really refreshing because I was there to just look and get information. I just bought a 99 Chevy Crewcab and had my fill of pushy salesmen. Richard is full of information about the Ranger boats and being in their showroom I quickly lost interested in the aluminium boat that I went up there for and saw my dream fibreglass boat the R73 Sport. Richard was really patient with me and I really appreciated that, no stress. I later bought the boat and when I picked it up it wasn't just a handshake goodbye but Richard took me and a friend to the Modesto Reservoir and he personal showed me how to power it off the trailer, maneuver the boat and how to power it on the trailer when we were done. It was the best hour and the most informative I could ever have and even to this day I still follow his advice. I had the R73 until 2007 because we felt it wasn't an appropriate boat for our daughter to be in and decided to sell it. I thought that was going to be the last time I owned a boat and during the years I kept in touch at boat shows and in 2009 C & C Marine had a Demo Day at the Delta and we were able to see and ride in the new Reata Fish and Ski boat. Richard let me drive it alone with my family and the seed was planted that someday this was going to be my boat. Again no pressure and happy to answer all my questions. The seed was planted. My wife in February of 2017 said "Let's get a boat" one morning (exactly 18 years when I bought my R73) and we met with Richard again and bought the 2017 Reta 1850 on their showroom floor and it was the fastest transaction ever.
