Purchased Arctic 134a recharge kit. Worked perfectly when I followed the directions. Counter person was great. He was an ex dealership parts person and knew his stuff. His Dealership was sold and as a parts manager he became a casualty so he hooked up with O'Reilly. I know its not my normal 6 months. But This couldn't wait. The new manager at this location is 5 star Rating. JP works hard to make sure his customers are well taken care of and the parts people seem to be much happier. I maybe a nobody. But I spend 75% of my part money there. Why? Well Customer service is what i look for and this place has it. No matter who you talk to. They find you what your looking for. Now that I have seen the new Manager (JP) in action. If I was not retired corporate (at a world wide Corp. Not this one). I would definitely give this man my complete blessing. Plus the people that work the counter. I give it a two stars since when we walked in we were immediately asked if we needed help. The reason why it's two stars is because I went into the store today with a friend. My car wouldn't start, so the first thing that came to mind was my battery since I had to keep jumping it. The guy who helped me checked it through their thing, said the battery was perfectly fine. I asked are you sure? Because my car wouldn't start, the only way was to jump it. Another co worker walked by and said run it again to double check. The guy helping me ran it again and said your battery is perfect; nothing wrong with it. I thanked the guy and walked out with my battery. I'm stressed out at this moment. My friend told me to go to Auto Zone since his friend is working. I took the battery there, and guess what? My BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD! I just installed the new battery and guess what?! My car is alive, it's freaken working!!!! Please re train your staff!! read more

Lost full hope in this company! Ordered a gas tank and got the wrong tank even after giving all the info and even a photo. I lost out on $75 of that money for shipping. Ordered a second time and again got the wrong tank and lost another $75. Spoke with with corporate and was promised some of that money back but then when I showed up to pick up the money the store wouldn't give it to me so I called corporate back and they took back the offer of returning my money for their mistake. I lost all motivation to finish my project on my car and now a year later I go to try again with this company and I'm given a part number and was told I'll get a call when they get info on if they can sell me the part. I went to another company and come to find out the part number I was given was yet again the wrong part (lucky I didn't pay for it) but at the other company a very young woman went out of her way to make sure I had the right gas tank for my vehicle. Needless to say I won't be coming back to this company for anything. read more

Just left the Modesto location on Oakdale Rd. The guy was so nice and helpful. Before going there I went to Auto Zone for wipers and a front headlamp. The young man showed me the options, in price and brand name. I chose the least costly, which still seemed more tan I had paid in the past. My experience at AZ was really below mediocre. I went a head and purchased the items, but thought to myself that since I was so close to O'Reilly and had a little extra time, that I would drive down and do a cost comparison. Not only was every item less expensive the guy actually installed the wiper and headlamp. His customer service was over and beyond what I expected. I now have a new place to go for my basic auto needs. On my way home I stopped back by AZ to return the items I had just purchased. The young lady asked why and I told her. She said well we price match and would have installed them. My response was, the other guy offered. read more

So we went to O'Reilly auto-parts to find a phone cradle for the car. The first one we bought was missing a very important component so we returned it. The next one we bought was missing an important piece. Clearly the item was accepted as a return in filthy condition (and missing a piece) put back out on the floor for resale. We were helped ea time by the manager but it would have been hard to tell bc he displayed no professional manners or curtsies. Not once did he apologize for the inconvenience or the fact that he is selling broken used items. In fact, he rather inferred that we were inept and too picky. Not once did he suggest where we might find another one or offer to order one for us. Not a thank you or an apology! I will never go there again. We went down the road to AUTO-ZONE. Not only did the sales person show us where to find the item but stood there until he was satisfied that he had all he could for us. No stars. read more
