I was having a problem with both of my toilets not flushing fully. The technician knew within 5 minutes what the problem was and fixed on both toilets. THIS was AFTER another plumbing company told me I needed 2 new toilets!. He also worked on my bathtub water stopper that one of my adult kids jerked too hard, it will probably have to be replaced. We discussed how I might be able to unstick the little ball, over time. He also looked at my sprinkler system set up. I had purchased a faucet To have them install along with a few other things. They did a pretty good job except for one faucet that had the low flow pressure fixture on it ( all fixtures in the USA have low flow on it) they never asked us to look at it and this is a bathroom we never use. The work was done six months ago, but understandable that we don't use this bathroom and were unaware of how poorly the water came out of the faucet. We just noticed it. They were very reasonable and listened to our concerns and dropped the bill to a respectable price. These are good people and willing to listen to issues you have. In March 2022 called Alpine Plumbing Services in Stanwood Wa to put on a wax ring for the toilet which they did. While John was here asked him if he could straiten the tub spout upward. When he did so he broke the spout off. When Alpine was asked to fix this issue as they were the reason the spout broke they informed me that due to alkaline..... in the water...... was why the pipe broke and determined they would have to charge me to fix the issue. Which I informed them no- they were responsible to fix what they had broke. After a search with BBB they are not accredited by BBB. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I'm a loyal customer when I find a business that does a good job at a fair price. I thought I had found that with Alpine after the first time they came out to replace our main shutoff valve and install a utility sink. I called them later with a couple other projects and Rick (owner?) came out to take a look in order to provide an estimate. So far so good. Lots of problems with follow up with this company. I can't speak to the quality of the work because they never showed up. I see that's happened with others. We met with Rick and had a good meeting. We liked him and he told us we would have an estimate on Thursday or Monday. One week later after some calls on our behalf, we got estimates on two jobs we needed. We hired them and we scheduled the first job. On the Friday they were scheduled to come out, they told us around 11-12, they didn't show or call. We called them several times and a couple hours later finally got a call from Howie. My husband was not happy and we both expressed our frustration with the lack of response. Then, about an hour later, the office assistant called to tell us a water heater had burst and they wouldn't make it out today at all. Through the day we learned we had somehow been bumped from 2nd in line from services to 4th in line. We also learned the plumbing staff and office staff do not communicate well with each other. My husband expressed his frustration to the office person. He did not raise his voice, name call or swear. They rescheduled us for Monday. However, on Saturday, Howie messaged us that they would not be coming out at all because the interactions that we had on Friday led them to believe we "would not have a good working relationship ". They did not take responsibility for the series of events that created the problems, they just dropped us. When my husband finally reached Rick, the owner, he told him he didn't want to hear what happened!!! This company is less expensive than others' estimates. Now I see why. Had freezing damage to outdoor spigot. Repair was a 6" PVC pipe and 2" elbow under the kitchen sink, super easy to get to. Took less than 30 minutes to repair and test. Total bill was $311.08 Materials $83.08 which is way over priced for 6" of PVC and a couple of brass fittings. Labor was $204 for 30 minutes or $400 an hour! With most plumbers charging between $45 and $200 an hour I imagine the excuse is minimum 1 hour charge. Puts them on the highest end for labor. The guys were courteous and did the work but I wont be using them again. Oh well. read more

Had Alpine out about a month ago for new water heater and new kitchen sink. Arrived on time had the work complete in about an hour and a half. About a month later the new water heater stopped working at about 8:30 PM. I called left message. Next morning they called and told me I was number four on the list for the day. I don't think that was possible because Joel showed up an hour later. He diagnosed the problem and said they could not repair but they could have a completely new system later that day. Sure enough they showed up with the identical unit at 2:30 and had it installed in an hour. This was my first experience with Alpine and next year when we re-model the kitchen, laundry room and master bath there will be no question who the plumber will be. After working with Alpine for many years on several different plumbing projects at several homes we were very disappointed in their service last week. We called Juanita at about 8 am on a Friday morning after hearing from our tenants that their water pressure was low and that the sump pump under the house was pumping water out excessively. After phone calls back and forth she said Rick would be coming by with their sump pump in the early afternoon to pump the water out of the crawl and find the leak. He talked with her several times that morning and she said they were going to rearrange their schedule to get over to our place (which they have done plumbing work for us there several different times in the past). My husband began calling them in the mid afternoon when he hadn't seen or heard from them, he waited around for them that day for about 8 hours. He left several messages for them. We never heard back from them. Luckily he knew enough to turn of the water main, but our tenants had to wait until we could locate another plumber the next day to have water. We understand that everyone is busy, but this was an emergency with standing water in the crawlspace and us having to shut off water to our tenants. I called Alpine to have three bathroom faucets installed. They arrived on schedule and were polite and professional. Each time they re-entered the house they made sure to remove their shoes. They recommended that we change the shut-off valves from plastic to bronze which I agreed was important to prevent future leaks. They finished the work in just over an hour. We had a leak behind the wall in the garage right before New Years Eve. Even though they were really busy they came out 24 hours later because our leak was actively leaking and we didn't know that at first. They came out on New Years Eve, diagnosed the issue and repaired it right away. The lady who answers thier phone number is very helpful, polite, and you can tell that she truly cares about your problem. Thier billing is great too. They do not charge a fee to come to your house. It is $90 I think for the first half hour and then they bill in 15 minute blocks of time at $25 an hour. I definitely recommend this company. read more
