Even though they were slammed with business, they got back to me promptly, followed through with an estimate (very reasonable), then got me on the schedule. The owner himself called me prior to the appointment to make sure I'd been taken care of -- unheard of in this day and age. The electrician they sent arrived on time, was courteous and friendly, and did everything on the list efficiently and professionally. We even had a dishwasher delivery the same day, and he helped the installation guys with a question they couldn't figure out -- this wasn't in his scope of work and he definitely could have said no. Just awesome. If you need electrical work done, you can actually count on them being true to the keyword in their name -- integrity. It's refreshing. They'll be my go-to from here on out!

The first time I called them, we had a bank of T12 fluorescent bulbs in our laundry room fail. After talking to Ackermann, I learned that the T12s were quickly becoming obsolete, and were no longer being manufactured. The representative from Ackermann went through our options, and we decided to retrofit the laundry room and a walk-in closet with T8 LEDs. The electrician arrived about 30 minutes late after being held up on another job, but he was very professional, installing everything accurately and cleaning up when he was finished. The 2nd time I called Ackermann, power to our garage had failed completely. I checked the fuse box, but nothing had been tripped. I spoke to Evan at Ackermann (probably 3 times), and he walked me through troubleshooting the issue. He said, "I don't want to charge you for a service call if this is an easy fix." Well, he correctly identified that a GFI outlet had probably tripped, which is why none of the breakers had. He told me to unplug everything on the circuit before resetting the GFI, and then plug things in one at a time until the GFI tripped again. Then, I'd be able to identify which appliance was the culprit. That worked! It was an old refrigerator that was tripping the GFI. I can't say enough good things about Ackermann. When I called back to speak to Evan, I asked if I could mail him a check for the time we spent on the phone together. He refused to accept anything, and just said, "Hey, remember us the next time you want or need any electrical work done." You got it, Evan!

He even called to stay in touch during a few long delays (caused by other contractors).  He has been straightforward and honest with us at all times.    His organism is impressive.  When the Premier crew shows up, the first thing they do is set up tables and lay out parts that will be needed for that day's job.  His workers are trained to follow the electric building code and not take shortcuts that could cause problems now or in the future, like fires or delays caused by inspection fails, etc.  The workmanship and professionalism shown by Premier Electric are also of the highest caliber.  They have worked to find solutions for problems beyond the ordinary or commonly encountered types.  We have been pleased with the outcome, especially considering our ancient farmhouse.  They have found and showed us the pics of problems they discovered that were not directly related to their work on our home.  Two examples are: Old wires that were twisted together and hidden behind walls (exposed during the remodel), and insulation melted off a wire in the crawlspace under the house.  We said, "Yes, please fix them."  These were genuine fire hazards that were created decades ago.  Premier brought these to our attention before a tragedy occurred. The site visit with Tanner went smoothly. The instal team were great, and did a fine job as well and answering my many questions. Where things were a bit less wonderful were, from my point of view, the challenges with communication. There were a number of these and the last one is the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars. A week after the utility company gave the final okay, there has been zero contact from Banner. Not a "how are things going?" nor a "thanks for working with us" or even an attempt to sell us on their maintenance plan. :) Today, the final payment request arrived, from a no reply email no less. Maybe I asked too many questions or it was the fact that I had an issue with the payment schedule not being made clear?
