Been coming here for years now and it's an honor to give great people good reviews during these difficult times! Thanks gents for all of your hard work and hanging in there for our neighborhood(s)! It's that time to reup my woodpile! read more

Fast, efficient, reasonably-priced (no more overpays for bundles of wood at Ralphs, Costco, etc) spot for firewood. $10 per wrapped bundle (5-6 logs) or $25 per wheelbarrow of mixed wood. They were also nice enough to give me some chunky wood scraps to help pad the firepit fire. And the difference in burn is noticeable! Much less smoke, due to the quality and dryness of the wood here. This spot has earned my repeat business, thank you to Yelp for helping me find it!! (Also, as a note make sure to keep your eyes open when you're driving N on Altadena Dr. They are on the east side of the street, just south of the 210, if you blink you might miss it) read more

Excellent wood at a good price delivered wrapped on a pallet, not dumped in a heap. I appreciate a job well done and a high quality operation. As someone who has split a lot of firewood in the past, I can tell you the almond I bought was well seasoned, cut and split very well. It's been a real pleasure and I will buy from them again. read more

Prices are fair here. I paid $40 for a wheel barrel of mixed seasoned wood. When you pull up they already have pre loaded wheel barrels ready to go. They are quick in loading it into your trunk. The guy was very nice in holding traffic as I was trying to reverse out of the driveway. Never a issue here. Easy to find location. I would recommend this place to others read more

The gentleman who is always there to help was, as always, friendly and helpful. Good amount of firewood for $80 for two full wheel borrows full. Easy and quick in and out. Have used Alpine for years and will continue to do so. read more

Called left a voicemail a day prior and received a text within 10 minutes saying they would be open the next day. Prompt service and excellent wood prices. Picked up a wheelbarrow of hardwood for $50 but i can tell you from my past purchases the hardwood burns for a long time. Thanks guys for your prompt service and good wood read more

Overpriced $30 for UNSEASONED firewood. Wood also smells so bad when burned. Do not go here. You can get a wheel barrel full of seasoned wood for $15 somewhere else. read more

Well it's wood and it kept us warm. I am making this review to update the current price that I received. For a wheel barrel, I payed $25. I think it was a little excessive and will be going somewhere else where I am 100% sure that I will find a better deal. Its wood. $25 a barrel....it's wood. Update 5/28: It is now $30 a barrel for firewood. Bought some firewood from offerup for $20 a barrel that did the same job. Good luck all read more

Answered my questions - great quality. Will happily buy from them again! They have almond, cherry, mesquite and mixed - and I think a few other types of wood that I didn't ask about. Great for pizza ovens and fire pits and whatever you may need. read more

Great service, great wood, good prices! I'm a returning customer who has recommended this place to several friends. They're great!

Fire wood was a bit pricey but what I was suggested was really quality wood that burned longer than any store bundle purchased previously.

Stopped by Alpine to get wood for a weekend camping trip and the guys there went above and beyond to help me out. They had a great price and even more so the wood was great quality and burned fantastic. Also they were super nice and loaded it nice and neat in the back of the truck, avoiding the propane tanks, generator and other camping stuff we had piled into the truck. I know its hard to choose where to get wood from but I highly recommend Alpine. Their customer service was exceptional. read more

Be aware that they only deliver pallets of firewood and do not provide any stacking. Also - (pet peeve) they do not identify their business when answering the phone. Very unprofessional and shoddy. read more

I visited Alpine Firewood to pick up some camp fire logs. I texted before to make sure they had what I needed. Jesus was very responsive even answering on a Sunday. His team loaded up the truck for me which made for an quick pick up. I will be back again! read more

Alpine Firewood always come clutch with the firewood. Our trip to Yosemite would have been more expensive ...and cold... without this place. Firewood in Yosemite Valley is ~$10/bundle which, if you're lucky, gets you 6 logs. At Alpine, we paid $50 for two wheelbarrows of mixed firewood. That's two cars' trunk space worth of wood. We had enough wood to last us Friday night to Sunday 11AM before check-out. And even then we had to douse the fire and leave three or four logs in the fire ring. Our camp was lit, fam. Alpine's firewood is always dry and burns really well. It's always nice to have a firestarter (you can find them at REI, or just buy one of those lighter cubes at Target) but it doesn't take much to get them going with good ol' paper/cardboard. The staff are really helpful too. Sure, I camp a lot but never in temperatures averaging 55 degree highs. I casually asked how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood and the guy straight up said, "Oh, two wheelbarrows FOR SURE. Any less you're gonna be real cold. real fast." He could've taken advantage of me and said 1 big-rig worth of firewood but nope. My faith in humanity is still intact thanks to the staff at Alpine. Skip going to the supermarket or Costco or that dead tree in your neighbor's backyard that he and that yappy dog of his refuses to let you or anybody else cut down and clean up for him and just come here to get your firewood. read more

Courteous and friendly. Eager to please. Good assortment of quality wood. One complaint: They never have change. And often times, they don't have their credit card machine. read more

Great place great wood. Easy pull in and they load it up for you into your trunk. Affordable and nicely laid out. Great selection of woods and wheelbarrows are full of awesome burn wood.do yourself a favor and go get some wood from Alpine. read more

Jose delivered very good looking oak and almond at a good price since it's green and will be ready for next winter. He said it would actually be more than a cord and it definitely is. The only catch is that they only deliver, they don't stack, so be prepared for a good workout to store the wood. This should last us for many cozy winters. read more

5 STARS! The best firewood in town -- hand-selected and delivered by real professionals! For the past 20 winters, I've enjoyed the fires in our fireplace, but finding Alpine Firewood 9 years ago was a total game-changer -- the finest wood with the best service at the best prices! Alex (the owner) and Jesus always arrive exactly when they promise. The pride Alex takes in selecting and cutting the word (in keeping with your exact specifications) and the way he and Jesus stack the wood and meticulously clean up before they leave is truly extraordinary! (And Alex's version of a cord is beyond generous!) Doing Business with them is a true joy and I always look forward to our yearly delivery from them! I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I went to purchase firewood from another nearby location but it was closed even though they said it would be open. Great guys. They helped be out with some almond wood for my clay oven at home for 40 per wheelbarrow load. They had tips, and loaded the wood for me :) They have a great selection of wood - almond, red oak, white oak as well as common firewood and seasonal fruit wood top read more

My husband and I found this business on yelp, we were seeking affordable firewood for camp fires. When we arrived, we explained what type of fires we wanted to have, though we weren't exactly sure what wood we were looking for, they gave us several choices and the pros/cons for each in campfire building. We chose citrus, because we wanted long burning logs, already having the cheap grocery store wood for kindling. It worked out beautifully! We paid $30 for a wheelbarrow, and they loaded our SUV quickly and neatly, plus gave us a big bundle of kindling. We've taken a few trips on the wheelbarrow we purchased, and will for sure be back. Very kind, professional, helpful staff! Note that this business is on a small corner and only has a small driveway. There's no proper parking, and if you're not keeping your eyes peeled, you'll drive right by it. Don't drive by it! It's worth the stop! read more

I don't think the wood I was sold was properly seasoned, and I specifically asked if the wood was seasoned and ready. I've never had such a difficult time burning wood. I'm halfway through my $325 half cord and I still can't get a log to light and stay lit. Paying a premium price I expect premium wood. At this point, I'd be better off burning some random free wood I can find on FB. I was also surprised the guy wouldn't give a discount for paying in cash. Especially since I helped load my own truck on the spot and didn't have it delivered. read more

These guys were great. Alex was upfront and personable. Reasonable price. Fast delivery. Good quality wood (oak & pecan blend). At least a full cord was delivered. Very highly recommended and will use again. Far better experience than another place I used last year that delivered 2/3 of a cord of mediocre wood while claiming and charging a full cord. read more

An actual fair vendor of firewood. How refreshing! Fast, friendly, knowledgeable -- strong recommend.

This place is great. The people are friendly and helpful. The prices are super reasonable. And the product is fantastic. They are so helpful in fact, that one of the men offered to back up my truck for me into the yard to load the wood! On top of that? THEY LOADED IT! Where do you get service like that? Alpine. Can I give 10 stars instead of just 5? Because they deserve it. read more
