Extremely disappointed in my entire interaction with this company. Even though I made my appointment weeks before my services and verified what I needed done three times, they were unable to complete them. I was told I would get in at 1030am, they didn't begin service until almost 3pm. They said they would fill a tire for me then charges me $80 and it wasn't fully inflated. My bill was twice the estimate while the main issue was never resolved. I would have my RV towed to Camping World if it broke down out front of this place. read more

I was there looking around for an RV for my handicapped wife and I was trying to work on a budget. I was approached by two salesman before I was encountered by a guy who pushed up on my and told me I got the right RV for you showing me a toy hauler. His name was Derik I'm 75 years old. I am not riding any toys. My wife is a handicap and we told him we handicap accessibility so he brought me to a another Fifth Wheel hauler that has mechanical bunkbeds I said is this a joke he laughed in my face and told me you don't have enough money for this anyway I felt so disrespected by this encounter I think they would give a 0 if I could. read more

I will never, ever, use this company or any of its affiliates. I've now had several issues with their work on my coach and they do not stand by their work at all! My slide was broken and one of the Morryde crossmembers they installed came loose and came apart. Derek's (manager) response was "it's like an earthquake driving down the road with these coaches". Well, yes, that's why I did the updates that had all the proper bolts and nuts to install it. If it's so bad maybe someone in the industry like Alpin Hous would use loctite???? What an idea! Derek said they will not participate in fixing it nor supplying my parts to fix it unless I pay.... Again. Never. Ever!! I wasn't asking for them to supply labor to fix it as I'm in Nashville TN and can easily install the parts. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Such a small thing for them to do.... And the RIGHT THING.... But no luck. read more

We ordered custom blinds and were told it would come in between 2 and 3 weeks. When it was 2 weeks and no phone call, we stopped by to check on it and was told it would be an additional four weeks and there was no way to cancel the order because it was custom and it shipped 2 days before. They also originally mentioned it was coming from within the states and then found it was coming from outside the country. When we followed up on the 3rd week, they stated it was within the states and should be 3 - 5 business days but still saying the total time of 6 weeks. When we asked for a tracking number, the salesman stated they didn't give one. Then we checked in after 4 1/2 weeks and just stated it had moved in the system 3 times so it is not lost but still showing the the 6 week timeline. We asked why is it taking so long and they stated they didn't know and the company didn't specify. 2 days before the 6th week timeline, we called and checked and then were told it was in and someone would call once it was looked over that day so we could pick it up the next day. They should have called us to tell us it was in and that it was looked over. Noone called us. When I went to pick it up, they stated everything was there and they looked it over and stated they were very busy and don't have a lot of time. I asked if the company stated what happened since it was within the states for 3 weeks and they stated no. I specifically asked if the clips were there and they stated they are in the boxes. When I got home and opened up the boxes, there were no clips. Horrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend them! read more

The owner of Alpin Haus replied with the following untrue series of events: "After speaking with Dometic, we learned that the original fabric for your awning was discontinued, leaving us with no choice but to replace it with a fabric that was either slightly shorter or longer. Initially, we installed the shorter option but, as promised, re-did the installation with the longer fabric at no additional cost to you. The manufacturer did advise us that the longer fabric would result in the hyperextension of the awning arms, but that it would still function as expected. We understand that this is not the ideal solution you were hoping for. The circumstances around the repair and the situation presented to us by the manufacturer could have been better communicated to you." NONE of the above is statement by the owner is true. Either he is outright lying, or his staff is not being truthful with him....either way stay clear of them Also note, if the owner was so concerned about customer service why didn't he reach out to me? My phone number is on the work order. Clearly he doesn't want to talk to me but want's you to believe they tried to make it right...THEY NEVER TRIED! 1. They never installed a shorter fabric as he states....only the wrong long fabric. They never "re-did" anything 2. He then goes on to say "The manufacturer did advise us that the longer fabric would result in the hyperextension of the awning arms, but that it would still function as expected." If that was what was told to them it was never told to me...not before the installation....not after the complaints....I would never have agreed to that. Additionally, if they knew that the arms would hyperextend why did they act so surprised when I brought the coach there to show them the problem? THEY ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH! 3. never was I told the original Dometic fabric was discontinued until two months after the lippert fabric was installed. The whole process was their series of blunders from the start and they offered nothing to make it right. asking me to pay $3k more to fix their mistake is a flat out insult. The service department doesn't answer the phone. If the do, it will be a miracle. If you speak with someone, they never have answers, they tell you they will call you back but never will. They tell you that they have submitted the work for your vehicle to the manufacturer, but they don't. And you will wait, and wait, and wait for them to fix your vehicle, never updating you on the status. IF and WHEN, I get my claim completed (since the manufacturer won't let me submit directly), I will NEVER EVER deal Alpin Haus again. Useless ! Absolutely useless ! Had our unit diagnosed three weeks ago ! No power to the camper section of a Class B. They found the problem and told us the parts were ordered. Now three weeks later no parts have even been priced - not sure what that means since the unit is brand new with factory warranty and also extended warranty. Then the excuse was that they needed mileage off the unit and yet no one called to obtain the mileage (and they didn't take the mileage when they diagnosed the unit?). Nothing but a runaround. How do places like this stay in business ! Does anyone care about the service they provide or don't anymore. Think twice before pulling in to Alpin Haus, Orange County ! read more

Service is horrible! The Forever Warranty is just a money grab. Very little is actually covered. If they find a problem. You're offered a $200 diagnostic fee before seeing if it's covered. This is even after they've performed the annual $250 "Forever Warranty" inspection. I won't be back. 2 years ago they had our trailer for over a month waiting on parts. Because it took so long they offered a complimentary winterization. Our first trip out water was running from water heater area. Turns out they missed the cold water quick disconnect. I've had my trailer for 9 years. Bought it new from Alpin Haus. I have had it inspected for warranty and NYS inspection there each year. They are the only ones to do any serious work on it. In that time (in no particular order) they have: Told me 3 times the slide needed major work. 1st time showed me damaged rollers and said they needed to be replaced. I looked at them. Didn't see anything that a shot of wd-40 wouldn't fix. 2nd time I called Lippert. They said to check the connections under the bathroom sink. Fiddled with them a little bit and all was good. This time slide was making noises. Major repair was suggested. Slide hadn't been opened since last fall. Cured with a little bit of dry lube on the seals. Recommended replacing the leaf spring 3 times. Had them do it twice. This time I called Lippert and they said I could upgrade the springs. Alpin Haus never suggested it. Had a mobile guy replace them. He said there was nothing wrong with the old ones. Alpin Haus told me I needed a new roof. Mobile guy suggested resealing it just because of the age. Nothing wrong with it. One time after they inspected it, they failed to latch much less lock the door. Door flew open on the way home and was destroyed. They refused to take any responsibility. Said once it left their yard, it was my worry. This last time they said the breakaway switch was bad. They had replaced it in August of 2024. Refused to warranty it. Charged me $130 to replace it --- $30 part retail and 10 minutes labor. When I got home found out my jack didn't work. They had burned up the motor and blown the fuse. Can't prove it, of course, but it worked when I left home. I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of. read more

My journey with Alpin haus started in the oak ridge store.My wife and i walked in to inquire about campers.Upon entering the store manager i come to find out says hello and askes can he help us.I told him and he turns around and says this is Mike he will help you,then ran into his office.I looked at Mike and he looked miserable as he stuffed a sandwich into his mouth and said what are you looking for and we should walk around yard.We returned and asked about a trailer,it was like we were bothering him.After a couple snippy comments i was done,walked out. I decided to check the port jervis inventory maybe they are a little nicer. Well they were very nice.Wedelt with nick .He was a nice guy,he tried.Then we met Mark to close the deal.I needed for him to hold the trailer for a week to arrange financing.He said no problem.In front of my wife and i ,i asked him if my deposit would be held ,he assured us it would be and not deposited and i could get a full refund if something happened to deal.No problem .Well two days later we saw another trailer at another dealer that hit all our boxes.So i called Mark to cancel the deal and send my voided check back.Guess what ,he deposited it,and denied ever saying anything about holding it and it would be 10 days before i would see my money.I immediately went to my bank and put a stop payment on it.Yeas it cost me 35 dollars but i got my money.Moral of the story is stay away from this company they are nasty miserable lazy[oak ridge store]and sneaky liars depositing check{port jervis] STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..... read more

Enroute from NC to ME, we had an electrical fire that burned up the wiring harness between the truck and our travel trailer. We found Alpin Haus close to our route, and they were able to take us right away! They replaced the wiring and we were on our way within 2 hours. Great service and nice people! Everything was great there. Mike did a great job of letting us see all the pieces that would be in our trailer. There wasn't a rl2500 in stock but he had others that we could look at then make our decision. Great salesman, great guy. Keith was another great guy to work with with the finances and paperwork. Bets of all was Kevin who showed us the ins and out of the trailer and how to do everything with it. He was thorough and absolutely knew his stuff. Great guy to work with. I went from pretty much zero knowledge on everything trailer to having a huge understanding of all of the inner workings thanks to him. Really appreciated this guy. read more

These guys had my travel trailer almost a month, they did a warranty repair for keystone. The service department rarely answers the phone so you have to be persistent when calling them. They did a very good job. The sad part was I had stuff stolen from my travel trailer. Walkie talkies used for backing up, power screw driver, a 50 foot 50 amp extension cable. Not a lot of money but I was a bit miffed. I would have expected a little better security with all the valuable assets on the property but I guess not. All in all they were fair to me and did a good job. I did not notice these were stolen until i went to use them back at home. read more

My family has been an Alpin Haus customer for 5 years. We bought our brand new Tracer Air 305, 33 footer travel trailer there. From day one this unit. has had issues. As first time buyers, we were taken advantage of and sold a lemon. So many problems yet each year we do our forever warranty inspection, they failed to notice many issues. I could write a book about our experiences with them. They give you this VIP lanyard when strolling the lot to purchase your RV but once you off the lot your a nobody. This Port Jervis location has had a high turnover of staff and management. Horrible. We are so done. Time to go out of state to find a reputable dealer. PS- we have a gas leak due to dry rotted lines. They say it's an at will issue if an accident occurs We are at an extended stay camp and service said techs would be out, they never came. We wanted to buy a camper van in April and they had none in stock but said we could order one so we did and put down $5000 deposit on a Tellaro from their brochure. By July there was no sign of it arriving and my wife had a bad fall resulting in concussion and being unable to drive, so we cancelled the order and they have refused a refund not only that they do not respond to emails. Despite sending email after email no response. Be very careful if you are putting down a deposit because they cannot be trusted. read more

To put it simple, customer service certainly isn't a priority. Show up to the location in Port Jervis where we proceed into the sales office to get assistance. Apparently we must have bothered the employees by showing up at 1:45pm on a Saturday. We are told to sit on the couch and wait until an employee has time to show us around. We wait there for about 5 minutes watching a room full of employees chatting. We get up and advise the receptionist that we are going to walk around and look at the campers from the outside. Bothered that we are not going to just sit there until it is convenient for them, she asks for my cell phone number to call when someone feels like working. We walked around the lot, drove home, and wrote this review. 1 hour later, still no call. Sorry to have bothered you Alpin Haus employees! I guess my money will be better spent elsewhere. If this experience is any indication of what to expect after you purchase from them, I consider myself lucky! Plenty of more friendly and helpful dealerships in the area. Update: Just got a call back now at 3:15pm like it is no big deal. I would sooner ask a used car dealer to manage my money than buy something from here. read more

Say they won't service rv's till the end of the year. Honestly if you are not from this area I would not rv in the New York/ New Jersey area. The rv campgrounds and repair people have been the least caring individuals I've experienced. I've been here for several months and it's been horrible. I plan on sharing my experience with as many of my rv travel nurse/ full time rv living friends as possible. I hope people can learn from my mistake. read more
