I recently purchased my second camper from Garick. Both times the purchasing experience was excellent. These people really know how to provide good old fashioned proper customer service. They were kind and patient, answered all of our questions very thoroughly, and weren't pushy at all. Even when I bought the first camper, which was an old used pop up that I'm sure they didn't make hardly any money off of, they treated me just as good as if I had been making a much larger purchase. I went twice the first time the lady at the desk was very unpleasant and said I had to make an appt. which is fine but very rudely. The second time I went we just happened to stop because we saw an RV I wanted to purchase on the spot without an appt. Again, I went inside asked and they gave us a sheet on how to look at the RV. She stated to go on the site but the site does not have all the inventory that they have there which I also I told her. She said she didn't want to argue which no one was arguing it was a question. And no one wanted to show us an RV. And guess what all the sales people but one was sitting down at their desk doing NOTHING!!!! They don't want my money that is fine I will take my business somewhere else. And everyone that asks me about this place I would never ever recommend!!!! read more

I went this place today to buy/pay out an RV. I sad hi when I stepped in, nobody even sad hi back - that's issue #1. #2, Charlotte it's an unpleasant/rude employee. Seems like she is there for taking salary only, and not working! Absolutely not helpful at all, making faces and excuses! #3, Also they refer you to their web to pick up your RV from there, when their website is useless, very poor ! # 4, very bad business, the owner of this place should do a meeting /education with employees how they should run a business and the quality of the service they should give. I must start off by saying Mike Maps is an outstanding Salesman, Person & as honest and upfront as they come. I found Garick RV on google and yelp reviews. Let me give a short story. I was in Orlando and by accident saw an RV convention. I saw the RV I wanted. The Saleman's at the convention gave me a great price. I called Mike and not only did he match but beat their price substantially. Through the whole process Mike has guided us and went far beyond just helping us get the RV but also the loan process. Just bought my first Jayco travel trailer. Couldn't be more happier with everyone at Garick. Mike Mapes was our salesman and he went above and beyond our buying experience. I love his sence of humor. Down to earth guy that doesn't give you b.s. and makes sure that all of your questions are answered. Absolutely the best place to buy an RV. They will do anything to help you get a great deal. Lucky for me they are located close to my home. If you want a great deal from a great dealer it's worth the trip from anywhere. There lot is packed full of motor homes, trailers, fifth wheels and anything you could want. One of your salesperson's so-called "Good" tires did not last long. However, I learned how to recognize the moment a tire explodes and how to deal with the resultant and immediate loss of control as the trailer sways a good deal. But some good came from that. My wife and I shared a 45 minute bonding event while changing the tire. She was right there with me down in the gravel at a dirty spot (ga-ross!) at a rest stop cranking up the scissor jack and peeling off the carcass of the tire which had wrapped itself around and behind the brake drum. What a woman! My advice to all salespeople: Be upfront with your customers. Their experience is your advertisement & reputation. read more

Terrible customer service overall but specific to the managers. We purchased the RV from Garick and arranged to have them tow to the RV park. The manager refused to provide a certificate of insurance which evidences that they have current insurance to tow the trailer and respective insurance limits. This is important because the vehicle towing the trailer is responsible for any accident even though we owned the trailer. I asked the owner to come downstairs to discuss as the associate kept having to go upstairs to get answers to all my questions. He refused to come down and discuss. In the end we found someone else to tow the trailer. Overall the staff is extremely unpleasant and not proactive in the least. The process required us to follow-up on every single detail of the transaction. Garick management did not want to be bothered once the sale closed. We recommend taking your business elsewhere. Garick RV is one of very few in the North Jersey area. They lean towards carrying more trailers than RV's. What's really a selling point is that they have a service center and parts store a short drive from the retail store. Although I have not purchased an RV from Garick I have been servicing my Class B Roadtrek there for a number of years and have had only good experiences. Their parts store is great and you can find just about anything you need. If you don't see it on the shelf, ask. They have more parts in the service department that you wont see out. They also have a huge parts catalog and can order you just about anything. read more

Bought our first camper here. Can't wait to get out on the road! We had a great experience from start to all they way through to driving out of the driveway. They have a lot of inventory and bent over backward for us. Our salesman was Scott, nice guy, fair and honest. Spent a lot of time with us and answered all of our questions and we had a lot. Best of all he didn't try to upsell us with unnecessary crap we didn't need. If we're in the market again, we'll be back. Would definitely recommend! read more

PROS: Non-pushy staff, did not put pressure on to make a sale. Salesman Jim was extremely friendly and personable and took the time to show multiple trailers. However... CONS: Staff WILL NOT return phone calls or emails timely after they've gotten your money. I still have to hound these people for return calls and emails. When I signed papers for my trailer, I bought the upgraded delivery, setup and leveling on-site. Because I wasn't sure my lot manager would do it for me, I asked Garick RV to handle the entire thing. I made sure this was confirmed multiple times. Well, that morning of delivery, the gentleman from the towing company advised me that Garick did NOT tell him that it was a setup and leveling as well. And since it was a Monday, Garick RV was closed. I had to pay someone to do it for me. Also, when I asked during my walkthrough if the TV was included, I was told YES. The morning I did my final walkthrough, I was told it was not. I specifically asked, and I would have bought a TV well beforehand if that was the case. I went through hell trying to find someone to mount a TV into the cabinet that is in my trailer because the swivel-mount has a mirror on the back. read more

I have been there twice and no one is ever around or available to assist us. Not sure what they are looking for as far as what the typical RV buyer looks like, but I'm sure they lose out on a lot of customers for their lack of customer service. I went last week, close to the time they close. We walked around the entire lot and passed the office. I don't know if no one wanted to help us because they didn't want to end up staying after the time they get to leave? We walked around and 90% of the trailers were locked so we had to try to peak in windows and I had to look them up on their website to see what they looked like and what their price/specs were. I guess their business does well enough without the potential gain of a satisfied customer or sale of a trailer. Maybe they reached their quote for that month. I'm appalled by businesses like this. My wife and I am beyond pleased with how we were treated when we went to Garrick's Rv to look at new RV's the day after Thanksgiving. First off we had Mike help us to narrow down our choices of trailers that met our needs. He was fantastic! We've had a tents,then 15 years in a pop up, followed by 12 years in an ultra light tent camper all purchased from the same excellent rv dealer which no longer sells rv's. So we went in search of a new dealer and saw how Garrick dealt with people at the rv show in sufferin last year. So we gave them a try and they are even better than the dealer I had a 40 year relationship with! We wound up purchasing a new 36 foot Jayco and they gave us a nice price for our 12 year old trailer which was in great shape. Mike, Dennis, Chris, Bob and the yard crew were great! Can't say enough good things. They thought of everything, in a low key efficient manner right through trade in and pickup of my trailer. They even thew in free winter storage. read more

We went to look at 2 or 3 specific used models they had listed, we didn't need anyone to "sell" us up or were even interested in a new unit. We sat down with a nice sales rep but it became quickly obvious that it wasn't going to be as easy as I had hoped. We just wanted to see the units first to see if they were in good shape and fit our needs, not wanting to waste anyone's time. They wanted to go through all the financial info and how we were going to buy a unit etc. At one point I became annoyed and asked if I should just leave or if I was going to be able to see the units. Now, the lady was very nice even when I became a bit annoyed (I did apologize for becoming rude there is no excuse). The rep advised us that management required her to go over financial info before looking at the units. I did not want them to run my credit etc until we knew we were going to buy from them since we were looking at used ones that can have a range of issues you don't see on a internet posting and because it can impact your score. There were no other customers in the office or on the grounds. We ended up buying from another dealership and although I am sure the people "just looking" can become a waste of time to the sales reps, I think it pretty bad practice to start with financial especially if its involving used units. read more

I bought a new Class C RV in the winter. I did not pick it up until spring the next year. When I picked it up- they told me it had been all checked out and was good to go. The sewer pipe was 3 inches off the ground so as soon as I parked it - I scraped it and had to bring it back for a repair that first week. They said it was my fault and charged me but they did raise the pipe so it was drive able. I parked it for a month and went on a short trip to an RV park 3 hours away. The Hot water didn't work on gas or electric- no water pumped unless city water connected - roof leaked into RV when it rained. When I brought it back within a week from getting home- they said it was my fault and charged me. Bottom line is they may sell you a damaged RV and they may never honor the warranty as they did to me. I will never buy another anything from Garick RV. I have called the Attorney General's Office in their county who knows this Dealer already and will pursue all legal avenues. Buyer - Beware! read more
