Trailer City - Leer 180 cap poor craftsmanship

Trailer City

Flatiron

I have been using trailer city Hempstead for several years to help maintain my Trailex open trailer…read moremostly with small jobs and have always been happy. However last week I consulted with them and completed a major overhaul of the whole wiring harness, all lights, brake fluid, new tires, wheel bearings and more. Brian and Sheila along with the rest of the crew inside did a great job organizing everything and assured me it would be ready on time. They sent me across the street where Bob and Lou along with the repair crew reviewed everything with me and listened to my concerns. When I returned to pick up the trailer I was absolutely amazed at the terrific, detailed job the crew did. Everything was done as we had discussed. I'm off to Watkins Glen Racetrack and have the utmost confidence that all will go smoothly with the trailer.

My dad has been a customer here to get the cover for his pick up trucks done for a few years now…read more Every time he gets a new pick up truck, he would make the long drive out here to buy/order + install it with them. He has never had a problem but this year, would unfortunately be the last time he is coming here. I will not recommend to anyone when asked where we got our car's cap installed. Maybe it's the pandemic and they're understaffed. But that should not compromise the quality of their work. Even after having an appointment to have the cap installed, my dad was told to wait 3+ hours to get it done. By that time, my dad had other errands to run but had to stay nearby the area because we don't live nearby. He had to go and could not have the water test done. He said he will come back another day to get it done. Now, scheduling this should not have been as difficult as they make it to be. We could not schedule a date that worked for both of us without costing us a whole day off. Unfortunately, my dad's cap leaks and seeps in water- and honestly, we don't want to bother with making the trek out there or dealing with the scheduling.

Nationwide Truck Repair

Nationwide Truck Repair

Is it possible to give a negative number of stars on a review?…read more As other reviewers have written, they are (1) dishonest, (2) overcharge, (3) keep your vehicle for far longer than they indicate and (4) don't actually know how to 'repair' anything. If they can't put in a new part they throw up their hands and can't fix the problem. Before I explain what happened I will simply say that after 2 months I ransomed my truck from Nationwide, I had it towed to another yard and it was back on the road in 4 days. Nationwide kept my 2000 Ford 650 dump truck for a repair for 2 months in the middle of my busy season from June 15th to August 16th, 2019. This truck is essential to my landscaping business. I was never told that it would become a long-term issue. I kept calling but with no results. They frequently said they would call me back and never did. I drove the truck there after changing my tire and being alerted to the problem from the tire company that it was missing a lug. Next thing I was told by Nationwide was that the hub was bent and needed to be replaced as well as the brakes. In fact they said if they can't find the parts no one could. Then they finally "found" a part - but it turned out to be the wrong one. This happened a few times. So after two months of waiting and calling frequently they finally told me that they'd given up trying and I had to pay the bill and get the truck towed out of there. It was never clear as to why they couldn't put it back to the condition I drove it in but my suspicion is that they couldn't be bothered putting it back together. So I basically paid for a "vacation" for my truck. My truck was taken apart to just sit. Their bill was close to $2,500 for them to take it apart but not put it back together again. Plus, towing the truck was $400. I was dealing with Ron and Wesley at Nationwide. Ron told me he "did me a favor" by reducing his labor from $105 to $98 per hour, and by not charging me for parts he was able to return. (Was he going to charge me for parts he returned??) I am frustrated and angry about so many things. Nationwide was completely dishonest about the hub and the brakes. It cost me thousands of dollars for delivery costs for the two months to keep working. There is no one you can hold accountable and no way to legally show their dishonesty because they put caveats on every piece of paper they give you stating that you cannot sue them. All I can do is try to spread the word and try to save others from making the same mistake. After towing my truck to another yard that actually knew what to do, they had my truck up and running in 4 days. It did not need a new hub and the brakes didn't need replacing right away as they told me.

I'D give "0" stars if it we're possible This place is a scam…read morefor most drivers, they lie, exaggerate prices and repairs. Will hold your vehicle and equipment hostage for several days, claim they are short staffed or just not doing the work efficiently then charge you for a small house. It's ridiculous and they should be put out of business. BEWARE!!!!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED, GO ELSEWHERE. DO NOT EVEN LET THESE LOSERS TOW YOUR PROPERTY. THEY LIE ABOUT MILEAGE AS WELL.
