This is the only business I have now learned to let work on my car. They are professional, timely, thorough, and go out of their way for their customers. I will share three experiences I've had that highlight why they deserve five stars: 1. Before I regularly started going here I had taken my car to several other shops in the orange county area to diagnose why my check engine light kept coming on. I was told it was this or that and they would reset the light so it would stop turning on only to have the light come back on, basically the runaround. I brought my car to Freeman's and they diagnosed it as a faulty sensor. They explained it was in a spot that would require a part of my car to be disassembled to reach. They gave me an estimate of the part and labor. They completed the work within that estimate and the light never came back on. 2. Two summers ago me, my significant other, and a close friend took a weekend trip to the Jersey Shore with my car. We arrived early Saturday morning. We spent our day at the beach and boardwalk and returned to my car at 5 pm to drive to our lodging. However, when I tried to start my car it would not turn over. We were 110 miles from the area. Long story short, my car assistance plan was unable to find a business to tow my car. The car shops in that area were behind 2+ months for repairs. We were stranded. We ubered to our lodging. The business where my car was parked gave us permission to leave the car overnight with no extra charge. They provided us with food and water due to it being over 100 degrees. The next day Sunday, we returned early to the car. We called Freeman's and explained our predicament. Freeman's dispatched their tow truck 110 miles away on a Sunday and got my car around 1pm. We hopped a train later that day and returned home. They saved us from the shore and their pricing was more than fair. It turned out to be another (different) sensor that died. They again ordered and repaired it in a timely manner. 3. After eight winter cycles with my car, my exhaust began to have issues. My exhaust system had several holes in it. One hole was at a joint where the pipe meets the converter. They explained they could patch some of the holes, but others they were unable to because of their location and the deterioration of the metal. They offered to patch the holes which was a short term less cost solution which would inevitably fail or replace the system, which would be a better long term solution, but would be a little more costly. Seeing how I was anticipating on keeping my car for a long period of time I opted to replace the system. They gave me the estimate and ordered the parts which had to come direct from the manufacturer. This was at the height of covid so supply chain issues were present. We ordered the parts 12/10 and they did not arrive until 4/15. I do not fault Freeman's for this. They completed the work timely and within the estimate. I appreciated their candor in explaining what was going on and what my options were. I trust and believe these guys when they perform work on vehicles. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of repairs. Thanks guys! read more

The people at the counter took me in right away did the inspection sent me a detailed email on anything they were concerned about and even went over with me after! Told me about and showed pictures of two bubbles in tires I had and were going to replace them as well as an out TPMS sensor that has been bugging me! They agreed to put in brake pads and Disk on 1 back wheel while i provided them with New ones. They installed old rusted pads and disk and sent my Grandkids 8yo & 9 yo off the road. Representative got upset saying we should never have provided them Materials after they accepted to do job and charged Me! They put our lives and grandkids in danger with no remorse. I recently move to the area and need it an inspection for the car, I went there to have it done and the ruined my dashboard by making it a cut with the sharp object they use to remove the old one. I went back and the manager defended the staff by telling me that the employee who did the inspection did not informed him about anything wrong happening during the process. it was his way to get away and not take responsibility for the damage. He pretended he was going to fix it and made me wasted my time twice more than three hours waiting for nothing...just making it hard for me. I will never go there. Bruce said that crankshaft pulley is cracked by two and its price is $157.98. I agreed to his suggestion because I had no other option in the middle of his working on timing belt change. I asked him why he called so high a price for the part as its price listed in the market is only 39 or 45. He bluntly fired back to me saying "call the manufacturer." We have four vehicles we take in periodically for service or when something breaks down. And when things break down we never feel as if we've been taking advantage of. The integrity of the employees of Freemans Auto & Tire is beyond reproach. I had though that my clutch needed replacement when the car broke down. They towed vehicle to their shop and discovered that it was an Axle that had snapped. A much cheaper repair. I had called around to find the best deal when I thought it was a clutch, and Freemans gave me the best price. They saved me 1000 dollars.
