The entire team deserves credit: Josh (the owner) was the first person I connected with, Karen in scheduling made sure she secured the date on Jim's calendar, and Jim executed the installation with precision. Door Pros @ San Rafael installed a Clopay Modern Steel Door and it looks great!…read more I would love to leave you a 5-star Yelp Review, but I think waiting nearly 4-months for installation is a little too much. Lots of delays and "finger pointing." The last story I heard was the Clopay factory in Ohio shipped my original door to the wrong place, and Door Pros had to get a rush replacement. So finally the two-man crew shows up and installed my door. This is my very first garage door I bought, so I watched the process. Very efficient, and their experience shows in how smooth the install process was. My old "retro" door weighed about 400-lbs, but they were able to remove it and haul it away. BTW, Nate was a great salesman. He didn't upsell the most expensive door in the catalog. He listened to what I ideally wanted. I wanted something new and modern. Something that would add value to my home. I got a Clopay Modern Steel Door with windows in chocolate brown, stucco texture. Included: LiftMaster opener, mailslot and safety latch. Got a $200 discount.

(One company actually told us they couldn't fix our door and we'd have to buy a new one!) Northgate's tech, Mike, showed up on time, worked efficiently and was very pleasant. After he mounted the control switch above my height, I asked him to move it down and he obligingly did it. As he was leaving I mentioned that my car had a button that had previously opened and closed the door. He told me that the manual had instructions but then stopped and said "want me to do it?" I said sure and in a couple minutes he'd programmed my car.

If you have 5 weeks to wait for Keen to complete a simple garage door replacement and time to deal…read morewith 6 different technicians coming to your home then Keen is for you. I called on March 21 and requested a new garage door. On March 25 Josh Keen arrived and managed to tell me his whole life story while preparing the estimate. He did not see or ask me if I wanted a key pad. I was told that Keen had my garage door in stock at one of their neighboring businesses and that once the door was sent to Santa Rosa they would be in touch. On April 22, Derek arrived and installed the garage door but it was not the one that I had ordered and set aside for me. I ordered a garage door with windows and Keen installed one without windows. Another round of appointments were made and a worker came and dropped off the window panel for the upper part of the garage door. A few hours later another worker came and installed the panel and took the solid panel with him. He said another worker would be coming that same day with the key pad. I questioned if he had the right one and was assured he did. Of course he had 2 key pads on the truck but neither were compatible with my door!! You would think that at this point Keen Garage doors would expedite the case to simply install a key pad. But no!! They place me in the appointment queue and offer a complimentary one year membership to have my door serviced. What a joke. Who has time to set up appointments and deal with incompetent office people and workers. Finally on May 6 the key pad was installed. I wondered if this outfit had ever installed garage doors before and I also wonder how they stay in business.

Jonathan does!!! 1) I had already been through this process with another company so I understood the grade of springs and realized that the ones that Jonathan installed were two grades higher yet the price he charged me was less than they did as was the service not to mention the fact that I had to make an appointment two weeks in advance with these guys and Jonathan skipped in and out for me. 2) Jonathan didn't try to upsell me at all I actually asked him about replacing the opener and two bent pieces of track. He fixed the bent pieces of track and told me that my opener would probably be good for another 20 years so he didn't try to upsell me anything. He wouldn't even let me pay for his In-N-Out Burger. 3) I really enjoy supporting family owned businesses and the fact that he had his son with him and that he was showing him the ropes just resonates with me. I was informed of a price around $200-300 for single or both springs, plus labor (which many places would not provide unless I had them come out first). It seems like the price could vary depending on the garage door style, size, and weight. Also, another place had quoted me $485 right off the bat therefore this was the best option so far. They let me know that the technician would have all the necessary parts and tools for whatever option I go with (very convenient). Technician Sam called me to notify he was on the way and when he arrived outside. Upon arrival, he inspected our garage and said it would be more than quoted since I had a heavy door (~$400-500). He provided us with two different priced options, differing in expected lifespan and labor (~$100) warranties. The job was estimated to take around 30 mins, depending on if there was complications with the existing parts. Sam was very professional and knowledgeable with all the mechanics and components. He let us know more about what we had installed and what could potentially fail or cause us issues in the future. He also gave us recommendations on how to properly maintain the garage door to prolong it's functionality and life. After we made our choice, he began working right away. During this time, he came to get our attention and let us know that the bearings needed to be replaced soon and we just asked him to do them since it was already disassembled and the labor cost was flat rate. It all ended up taking closer to an hour, and despite the higher than anticipated expense... we felt very assured and satisfied with the outcome we received. We love supporting family owned businesses, especially when they provide great quality and service! Highly recommend.

It would completely open up and give the guests a feel for being outside with a nice breeze. When I messaged this company they immediately wanted to schedule a site visit. I have all of the measurements (because the opening hasn't been made yet and is being made to my specs) but could provide all of the info they would need to come to the site for, and it was just completely unnecessary. They were pretty pushy and basically didn't have any answers. I would ask them, then they would have to ask someone else? You don't know how much your services cost? After they finally gave me a quote, I asked them to also provide pricing for just the door with installation, no opener, and they told me that if I had anymore questions then I needed to call. Simple question, simple answer. Also, why would you have people responding bro Yelp messages that don't know how to provide rough estimates? A little advice from someone who is in business myself - teach the people answering yelp messages about your pricing, and focus more on customer service than winning the job. Because of my interaction with you, someone else (who was more expensive) is getting my business.
