I took 3 audio equipment units to be serviced/repaired by Mr. Ken. Two Sony double-deck cassette players. One of them is a top-of-the-line ES unit. The third unit is a Denon CD player (Japan Market only). I'm delighted with his work. All audio components are working as they should. He certainly takes his time, and the results of his work won't disappoint you at all. I picked up my equipment super clean and shiny..!!! His prices are reasonable, and I had the chance to have a cordial chat with him for almost half an hour..!!! All about vintage sound and vintage equipment. Mr. Ken, is very knowledgeable about the subject, and I certainly learned a lot from him. All in all, I really recommend Alpha Electronics. And I certainly will know that Mr. Ken will take care of your equipment as if it were one of his. GUARANTEED... Jaime N.

Dropped my remote into my big Sony speaker when I was moving it. Went all the way to the back on the inside. Tried taking it apart on my own and that thing was sealed tight. Sony don't play. Lol Anyways I brought it ti Alpha Electronics. They got it opened and fixed quick. Even got it sealed up right. The didn't charge me an outrageous price either. Thank you all for your efficient fairly priced work. If I have any new electronic needs pop up I'll reach out to you.

Great place for electronic repair, it's just extremely busy so appointments necessary. He's been maintaining my 1970s vintage sound system since 2021 and it's the only shop I'll go to. The value of the service is quality, he's honest and will tell you if it's worth fixing or not. Highly recommend

Ken is a master craftsman, his 49 years of experience truly shines through his work. My pioneer SX-980 looks and sounds impeccable.

UPDATE: I sincerely dread doing this, but unfortunately, I've been left with no other choice but to update my initial (obviously premature) review. You see, I made the mistake of posting the aforementioned review within minutes of plugging in my receiver, which I had just brought home. Believing everything looked good, I went on Yelp, and proceeded to express my gratitude for what I thought was a job well done. However, my elation was short-lived, and it didn't take long for the unit to shut down intermittently (just as it had done before bringing it in for service). I contacted Ken to let him know the unit was "doing it again". To his credit, Ken was gracious, and asked me to bring the receiver back to him. Well...that was more than nine (9) months ago, not to mention the dozens of phone calls to Ken inquiring about my receiver, only to be told each time that he was still "troubleshooting" the issue, and to give him more time. Well...I finally got the long awaited call last Wednesday (5/1/24), letting me know that the issue had been resolved. We agreed on a day Friday (5/3/24) for me to pick up my receiver. Today is Sunday, (5/5/24), and I just fired up the receiver, thinking I would soon be enjoying my sweet sounding Yamaha CR-2040 once again (based on Ken's assertion that the problem had been fixed). Well, much to my chagrin, it didn't take long for the exact same issue (shutting down intermittently) to resurface. Frankly, I am not willing to hand my receiver over to Alpha Electronics, and have it sit in their shop for another nine months - I'm done with Alpha Electronics, and am changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star.

Let's face it consumerism means cheaper priced goods and when it breaks replace. Well Alpha Electronics helped me keep my Kenwood Sovereign working for years to come. I needed repair with Volume. Dropped it off about 30days ago. And just picked up today. I got an estimate in about 3 weeks and the unit was repaired less than a week after I approved. Pricing is relative. If you want to repair a special unit with that warm sound, this is the place to go. It's a busy but small shop. Be patient. The staff is super friendly but busy. I plugged in my components and everything works perfectly. The unit was repaired and all contacts cleaned. These folks love electronics so show them love. Support local business and keep revenues local. You won't be disappointed with Alpha.

Worst experience I've ever had with electronic repair services…read more Horrible communication, owners do not diagnos your parts when they say they will, and even claimed when I came to get my unrepaired item back, they didnt know where it was and I would have to come back weeks later just to get my item back. 2 weeks after I originally dropped off my item, and many unanswered phonecalls, they finally answered, and asked me if I had a DVI to HDMI cord so they could actually do a diagnosis that they never did. I understand that some businesses may or may not have parts they need, but I find strange that not only they asked me for the part, but the fact that a electronic repair biz like this doesnt have basic stuff like input cords for electronic displays for something simple like a diagnosis. Something else I found frustrating is that they are often closed during their listed operation hours, and after constantly going back and forth to their store, it took yet again, another series of eventually answered phonecalls, they finally answered to call in at a certain time to let the owner know to open the store! To be fair, its an independent business and I understand these owners have to run around a bit to do their job, but they definitely should consider either removing their biz hours or just straight up make their services on call, or anything to make their service a bit more reliable. 2 stars only because I eventually got my stuff back, and got a refund for my never recieved diagnosis. Took only a month and a series of eventually answered phone calls. Edit: 1 star because upon reading more reviews, its clear that this is common experience with customers of bad communication, lost or missing parts, and consistent unavailibility. Don't go here!
