A blond woman was opening the van to put a large dog in while cursing and yelling. After smacking numerous dogs and telling them to get back, she shoved the dog she had leashed in the van and yelled "I'm sick of this shit!" As a long time dog owner, I've never felt it necessary to smack a dog around for any reason. It's counterproductive to their learning experiences and only builds fear or aggression. Screaming at a dog will also give you those results. For a business that advertises "Fun, freedom, friends, places to go and butts to smell", you'd think they'd be kind to their furry clients. Just a heads up to anyone considering this service. It doesn't look like the human in charge has her head on straight.

Decided at that moment that if this is the level of skill they have with a potential new client, I definitely wouldn't trust them with my dog.

I would NEVER recommend that folks go to Miss Jee for dog training especially if you have a small…read moredog. We went to her based on great reviews and signed up our pup for a 6-week boarding school program. I was nervous to be without him for that long but trusted the reviews. However, that was a big mistake, our 12lb shih tzu came back with one eye, two missing teeth, two pounds lighter, and many sores and bruises throughout his body. He did not finish the program and Miss Jee refused to provide us with a full refund. For more details see photos and read below. I should mention this happened back in May, but it took me a while to be able to get the energy to write this review. I removed Webster from her care and he was not able to complete the program when he had to have surgery to remove his eye. It's unclear how he suffered the initial damage to his eye and the story I was told has changed. At first I got a call from Jee and was told that his eye was "watery" the day before and that he was flinching when they got near him that morning and she asked if I wanted her to take him to the vet I said yes. At my request, she told me she would send photos, but did not do so until later. After talking to the vet, I learned that the vet was told his eye was having "discharge" since the week before. When I told Jee that the vet was told something different Jee said someone else took Web to the vet (not Jee as I was told) and she didn't know why they said that. She then went back to her initial story but added that his eye was crusted shut on the morning she called me, and that she didn't know how this happened. I requested photos again and then changed communication to text to have it documented. She sent me a photo of his eye after they cleaned it where you see a lump in it. She also sent me a photo of him from the previous week where I could visibly see something was up with his eye and asked her why she didn't call me then. She then said they noticed his eye was "gunky" but didn't think twice about it until he was flinching the morning she called me. It's unclear how it happened, but the vet said his eye had ruptured and there was no way to save the eye and recommended immediate removal. After this I did not want her near my dog and went to pick him up from the vet after his surgery. Once I picked up Webster from the vet I immediately noticed that I could feel his ribs and spine, based on the documents from the vet Webster went from 12lbs to 10lbs under her care - losing 20% of his body weight. When I got home, after bathing him I also found many bruises and sores throughout his body and neck. This was the second major incident with Miss Jee, previously he lost two teeth under her care and I was not told about until he had a grooming appointment where I was to meet them in person and also see the progress of his training. She said that he self-mutilated after they changed his crate for cleaning. Even this story had changed over time and I will not get into the details, but I mistakenly trusted what she said and kept him under her care after seeing that he was making progress from the training. What I failed to see when she was showing me his progress is that she had a collar on him that causes shocks to his neck because it was covered by his hair which likely caused the sores on his neck reference above. I believe that Miss Jee neglected my dog, did not feed him all his meals, and abused my dog. Had she called me sooner I believe it's possible that his eye could have been saved. After all this I requested she pay all his medical expenses and that we get a full refund back given that I also had to cancel a family vacation to be home to care for him post-surgery and that any training he received was compromised - none of the training he had worked once he was at home. At first, she agreed to only pay his medical expenses given that this happened under her care and said "no refunds" and that she would credit our remaining balance with in-home training - which I said I would talk to his dad about and get back to her, but after finding more damage to his body and learning about his weight loss I let her know we did not want her interacting with our dog again. Through her insurance she filed a claim and they paid for his medical care and she did end up providing us with a partial refund but given that he is not the same dog we sent to her we felt we deserved a full refund which she refused.

Jee and Deug saved our family. We've had rescue dogs all of our lives and thought we knew what we…read morewere doing until we got our first Goldendoodle puppy. After 3 weeks of waking up every 2-3 hours, we were ready to throw in the towel. We reached out to Jee, who recommended we leave our precious pup with her for a month. A month? No way, we thought, but after a video consult with her, we decided to trust her. It was the best decision we could have made. It's now been a month since our puppy's return, and we still cannot believe the change. Jee and her brother, Deug, are miracle workers. Our puppy sleeps, listens to commands, and if we ever have a problem, Jee and Deug are right there with a solution. We are so grateful for their intervention and cannot imagine our lives without them. If you're looking for a loving pet to be a part of your family, Jee and Deug can make that happen.

Taking care of a pet is a big responsibility they have all these demands like needing to be fed,…read moregiven water, taken outside etc etc. In the future we need to develop more efficient dogs, ones were we give them a perfect diet that results in absolutely no waste. This would be good for the environment and eliminate the need for plastic baggies (I'm pretty sure that is the only reason grocery stores still have them). Anyways since we aren't there yet you may need a dog walker. If you need such a thing give Batdog a call. Batdog has been walking our mutt for sometime now and we couldn't be happier. The biggest benefit is that Megan, the owner of Batdog, is not only a walker but also a trainer. So when she takes Eclair for walks she works with specific things to make Eclair (the mutt, I say that with as much affection as is possible) a better behaved, happier dog. On a couple of occasions I've walked with Megan and Eclair and gotten some great tips on training Eclair. In reality Megan is as much of a people trainer as a dog trainer. The bad things our dogs do are generally because of us. In the end the service doesn't come cheap, cuz remember this isn't 12 year old Jimmy down the street you are hiring to walk your dog this is a trained professional. If you believe you get what you pay for...well then 'nough said.

Each dog is wonderful in their own way, but each one has certain behavioral issues. I called Megan and explained our situation - no problem. She was willing to take on the pack! We have daily walks and have several different walkers. They leave notes after the walk and comply with our unique walking habits (dogs must get a slice of apple when they get home). We had one experience where the walker didn't show up, but Megan was EXCELLENT in communicating with us so we could get home and let the dogs out. She clearly takes her responsibility seriously, and she is also adamant about training the dogs not to pull and to be polite on the leash. We loved one walker in particular - ask if Bernadette is available!

We were headed out of town for 9 days, and needed someone to stay overnight with our older cat and special needs dog, as they don't do well in a normal pet boarding setting. Everything seemed okay at first. He seemed professional and experienced in his pre-trip visit with us and we felt confident that our house and pets were in good hands. We spoke a couple of times by phone while we were away, assured both times that everything was okay and that we'd be getting a progress report by email soon. It came the day before we returned, but nothing extraordinary in the report (i.e. animals are doing great, very affectionate, etc.) Now in the past, our pet sitters have been extremely respectful of our home and diligent in their care for our pets. We felt we had no reason to worry given the source of the referral. So imagine our horror when we come home to find: * Our dog in his crate with what looked to be days' worth of feces under him, looking much skinnier than when we left. * Our cat peeing bloody urine around the house. * Our bathroom and kitchen filthy (we thoroughly cleaned the day before his visit), and my wife's styling products totally consumed. * Empty beer bottles and a stray Valium (!!!) on our dining room floor. He made lots of excuses for his behavior, and despite a great prior reputation, he seems very fuzzy-minded and untrustworthy. Needless to say, I would not trust him with my house or pets again. Despite his mild-mannered appearance, I'm seriously considering having my locks re-keyed.

However, I also found him through a personal referral for a dog walker. He has been coming to walk my Scottie for several months, and he's been great! The first time he came, my dog didn't want to go with him since he didn't know him. Scott got one of his dogs out of his car to go along and then my dog was happy to go with the two of them. I walked around the side of the property and observed what was happening and Scott was on his knees petting my Scottie and telling him it was okay, he would take care of him. Since then he's been to my house periodically when I'm under the weather. He shows up in sun and rain, is very careful with my best buddy. I thought Mr. Dog was puffing a bit too much one day, so Scott was careful to slow down a bit, and take him down a shady street when it's sunny. He's always on time, and calls when he's on his way. I really like this guy, and I've been around a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him to walk my dog. I don't know what happened before, but I suspect that whatever was going on isn't going on anymore.

The office manager tells me she didn't like the way I was talking to her that I should go away and never come back to the veterinarians they have taken care of my dogs for 35 years. I called back three times to talk to one of the vets and this office manager kept hanging up on me and would not let me talk to a vet that I know and that knows my dogs. This office manager thinks it's her establishment and she is going ahead and ruining the business. My girlfriend had a similar experience with this lady about two weeks prior to my experience... Boy, do they owe me an apology before I will ever go in there again. Meanwhile, I had to go to another vet and my vet bills are over $6000... Kingsgate did not get this money some other vet did and it's their fault... Yes, it will impact their bottom line.
