They also have the super refreshing and really good sparkling Yuzuco soda in can which is an elevated sparkling lemonade since it's made from cold pressed yuzu with honey and salt. Bright, bubbly, and undeniably refreshing. Friendly staff. There's a nice seating area outside. Restroom is available at the Mile high cafe Nextdoor. Friendly staff and good drinks! I went to Idyllwild for the first time and this place was on my bucket list... long story short, it did not disappoint! This charming coffee place ended up being one of our faves during our stay in Idyllwild. It's just a quick 4 minute walk from our Airbnb, which made it dangerously convenient and yes, we came back more than once! The space is pretty small just a couple of tables and a few seats so don't expect to lounge around for hours. They keep it simple here with coffee and tea only but they sure do it well! Everything we tried was delicious. We originally wanted to sit down for breakfast, and luckily they share a space with Mile High Cafe next door. Just a heads up even though they're connected, they're technically separate businesses so you can't just grab coffee and sit anywhere on the restaurant side unless you're ordering from them too. That said, the convenience alone makes this place a win, and the quality keeps you coming back. If you're in Idyllwild, definitely swing by and check them out! read more

Came in today and gave them a try. It's a nice little shop. A little crammed by the door way with people coming in and going out. It was tied into another restaurant. Service was good and very quick. I got the cold brew with a touch of half and half, overall it was good. It was just a tad bitter but it was still good. About a cold brew flavor as any other I have tried. So nothing to knock against it but if you like a good cup of cold brew definitely get it here. Nothing stood out as anything special to me but just a good cup of cold brew. read more

Super cute coffee and tea shop! We came by during covid when they were still building this coffee shop and since then we always managed to stop by whenever we came up to Idyllwild! First dine with Mile High then after tea/coffee and goodies at Alpaca! Service was always friendly and prompt. I got the Jasmine milk tea with boba recently and the tea was very fragrant and strong. I asked for less sweet and it was just perfect! I added boba and it was pretty chewy and soft! Very great quality for a mountain milk tea shop! I can't write enough great things about this place! You just gotta stop by and experience it for yourself! Plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seatings! Well mostly outdoor, inside is standup bar. Our first time at Alpaca, and it was good. For once, the service at an Idlewild Cafe was friendly, the place was clean, and, most importantly, the food was good. We got the hot chocolate with a slice of pumpkin and carrot cake. We got two extra slices to go, and unfortunately, they placed them in a paper bag WITH NO protection from moisture leak. So after 20 minutes, the slices are leaking badly through the paper bag and staining the clothing of my friend, who was holding the bag in his lap. It's seriously bad that they didn't think about this and properly wrap the slices in multiple paper towels and close the bag properly. Another issue is that we took the original slices of bread to a table, but they didn't offer any plates. The guy said they don't carry any and nothing more, not even thinking that he could ask the cafe worker 20 feet away from their station for some plates for us. I had to make contact with the worker to get us the plates. While the food & drinks were good, these slip-ups caused their rating to go down to 3 stars. We'll probably come back again, and hopefully they'll have learned a valuable lesson. read more

Their Spanish and mocha lattes were both good. The Strawberry Matcha Latte, though, is where they shined - so perfect, refreshing, and a great start to the morning. Bonus points: add boba to it! Thought it couldn't get any better until I did. Clearly our big winner of our visits. The shop itself is attached to Mile High Cafe. So while they only sell little pre-packaged snacks for food, it's super easy to pick up coffee then grab food at the cafe if you want. Nice little outdoor seating area. Easy parking out front. Nice place , ridiculous policies I came in with my family; 6 of us including one 2 year old grandchild. I ordered all of our coffees, grabbed a few items off the shelves and I paid the bill. It was about 50 bucks. I think fine for what we got and I was happy. When my grandson asked for some water I went to counter to ask for a small ice water with a lid so, as toddlers do, it would not spill all over the place. I was directed to a water jug and small free cups without any lids and told the others cost $0.50. This is just ridiculous. I understand the need for a .50 policy for people coming in off the street asking for a free ice water, but we just spent 50 bucks for some coffee drinks and a small ice water with a lid should be an easy yes. That cost them our lunch business - which was going to be 8 people. This is a fine place, with fine drinks and some policies that need some nuance. read more

I wish Alpaca had more drink sizes, all of them are pretty tiny. So you're paying 6.50+ for a small drink. Thankfully, everything tasted good but I was really looking for something a bit bigger. The shop itself is cute and has a fun, sunny atmosphere. There's very limited space and hardly any tables inside. If you're looking to hang out, they have an outdoor patio with some shade.
