From the moment arrived, they were the most gracious couple. We ordered a new item, not even on the menu. Sautéed ground chicken with Thai Basil, mint and spices with rice and a runny egg on top...Fabulous! Wife got the Massaman curry with wonderful seasonings. The only 2 things I would knock them on were the summer rolls (5.95) with one small shrimp inside. And the Massaman curry was too heavily filled with potatoes BUT the purple potato was a nice touch! Finally, we ordered the Tom Kha coconut soup and despite the owner saying it was "very spicy" we found almost no spice BUT it was fabulously flavorful. We had a great meal. I have had lunch and dinner here at least 15 times and I am always very satisfied with the quality, taste and size of portions. The prices are very reasonable and fair and feel like from 5 years ago... It seems their main business is take out and the orders are ready in 15 to 20 minutes so please do your pickup so the fóod does not sit. Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Its so hard finding a good thai place in lake county. We were there at 11am and the place wasn't opened yet as it should have been. I called the phone and the guy said he was 10 minutes away. We came back around 12 and there was 1 other table seated. It became busier as we sat and people were calling and picking up orders to go. So might be busy at peak hours. We were greeted and our orders were taken promptly. I ordered the thai tea and enjoyed it. My bf had the sweet tea which he said was too sweet but he still drank it. We had the spring rolls and chicken satay which were typical of other restaurants. He had the pad thai with beef and i had the green curry with chicken. I enjoyed both. (because you know I had to try his ). My bf wanted more beef in the pad thai but for me its more about the noodles. I ordered medium heat which, to me, was more like a hot. But it wasn't too hot and I still ate every bit of my curry. I want to go back and try the curry fries and Pho. Overall it was good and ill be back for my thai fix. read more

I heard this location was previously a different Thai restaurant with different owners, and I heard horrible reviews about that place. After hearing several people had tried Aloy Dee and loved it, I decided to give it a try. Holy yum!!! I had the Curry Fries for an appetizer and Pad See Ew for my entree, both of which were richly flavored. The curry dip was slightly sweet with a hint of peanut. It hit the spot! The Pad See Ew was exactly what I was hoping for. Soft noodles, perfectly cooked tofu and broccoli, tossed in a sweet soy sauce. My father ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, which is usually my go-to. I sampled it, and it was equally as amazing. Gracious portions on everything too! I have tried the Pad Thai from JK Thai in Mount Dora and Thai Jasmine House (I know... that place is gross but I was new to the area and didn't know any better) in Tavares. This place kicked both of their butts!!! My understanding is that the new owners gutted the place. The building is older and it looks dated inside, however, they have done a nice job so far adding new tables and it looks like it's a work in progress since they opened right before COVID. I was very happy with how clean everything was. I believe the owner waited on us. He was friendly and gave us everything we asked for. We will be back for sure! read more

I've eaten Thai food all over the United States, and the flavor and quality of food at Aloy Dee is easily in the top 5 Thai restaurants I've eaten at! Never judge a book by its cover! Food was 5 stars but the actual restaurant, although squeaky clean, had no ambiance, definitely better to pick up or order in. Friendly and direct service. We had a party of 4 and drove 45 mins to try this place. When we walked in the door the owner yelled at us from across the room that we would have to wait at least an hour to eat. We understand having to wait sometimes while eating out and have no issue with it but to be yelled at from across the restaurant was rude. We walked over to the counter to clarify as the shouting was disrupting others eating in the restaurant. We asked for clarification as we see that half the tables were open and the guy started yelling at us that we can't expect people who ordered food an hour and a half ago to be skipped by us. We had no expectations of cutting in line as we would have been happy to sit and have a couple of cocktails while we waited to eat but the owner was so rude we would never spend a dime in this restaurant. We drove another 5 mins and found another Thai place that was super friendly and made us feel welcome. No time or $ for rude people. As you can see by the owners remarks below what the problem is. It's a small place, but the food is fantastic. The chef is the waiter's wife; man, can she cook! We've had takeout 4 times over the years, and ate in once. I've gotten food a few times from here. All of my experiences have been unsatisfactory in a myriad of ways. The service is far from exceptional, they go as far as putting up signs that state " You will pay for what you order. No refunds. No exceptions." All over the restaurant. The prices seem to change more than the stock market and whether you order on DoorDash, online, or in person the items have wildly different prices. The food is not bad, some dishes that I've gotten have been a bit bland however. Take this next part with a grain of salt, the only upside is that the menu is fairly expansive and could potentially have something to peak any customers interest. read more

Phenomenal. We have been in Mt. Dora housesitting, enjoying all the local cuisine. Tonight we ventured to Eustis on a whim and found this gem. The photos online led me to ask my wife if we were dressed nice enough to eat at Aloy Dee. The food presentation pictured had me expecting a fine dining experience, so it was a surprise to find the location in a small older building shared with a smoke shop. The gentleman working the counter (who seemed to be the owner) was fast and courteous getting us our food and our appetizer while also helping his daughter with her homework behind the counter. We had the crab rangoon for our appetizer. This will sound embellished, but truly these were the greatest crab rangoon appetizer of our lives. My wife loves them, as do I, but neither of us had enjoyed them with such great texture, flavor, and presentation. Our curries that followed were well-prepared and generously portioned. I had the American hot heat and it was wonderful. Even without heat, the flavors were great and the ingredients fresh. Finally, the young girl brought us our to-go rice and containers, a check, a smile, and we were on our way after some kind words with the owner. I have eaten there, or more recently had takeout and I LOVE it. The Chicken Satay and Peanut Dipping Sauce was low calorie and delicious. I love Krab Rangoon but it is usually purchased frozen. This was delicious, homemade, cream cheese and krab in a fantastic crispy wonton. I also had the Summer Rolls, Steamed Dumplings, Red Curry, Green Curry and Penang Curry and they were all exceptional. I don't know what happened with the bad review of the Pad Thai but you should have talked to the owner. He will make it right. The address is 925 N.
