My lost aunt ran a small coffee shop in Japan. This restaurant is a very calming place where I can feel Aloha, as it reminds me of it. Actually, the shop is very lively with loco every night. Recently, the number of loco bars has decreased, but I would like to protect the precious loco bars where Ohana gathers.

Local sports hideaway tucked on 9th Ave. Welcoming staff, clean atmosphere. A great place to have some drinks, darts, karaoke & fun.

Aloha Lounge, located on the back side of Town Restaurant in Kaimuki. Its your typical neighborhood "local" bar with pool tables, darts, karaoke and alcohol. I had some crazy nights here as my friends are "regulars" here since they live so close. Aunty is great and she is always willing to cook up some pupu's for you to eat. It's funny how you can end up here after dinner and still eat more. The beer is cheap, Karaoke is $1 but its the company that you surround yourself with that makes it fun.

The famous Aloha Lounge -once the entertainment center for the musical Isaac family in the 70s has changed ownership multiple times- but as of October 1, 2018 new local owners have taken over the iconic location in Kaimuki. I went to the Grand Opening on October6, 2018 and had a great time. There are a bunch of big screen TVs around the bar - showing college, Pro, and local high school football. They are still working out the bugs for PPV sports I am guessing -so we'll see. There was live music and the crowd were older locals-you know - the non trouble making kine!! The wait staff was on it!! They have a big kitchen and although the food was all catered for the grand opening -I suspect in the future that will be utilized. I saw some famous people in there that night-so i think this is going to be a great spot to party!! Its changed into a pretty nice Sports bar-so I'll be going back for Football games and stuff.

Thankfully, Michael and his team were able to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. From the moment we walked in, the place had a great vibe, the interior is beautiful. Throughout the night, the staff and Michael (the owner) were incredibly welcoming, funny and attentive. The cocktails were amazing. I had the expressing my love all night and even though the place was busy and there was a bit of a wait for food, it was honestly worth it. We had the crab dynamite, the ahi brioche, and the prosciutto and burrata. SO GOOD! My friends and I had such a great time and will definitely be back.

Tucked on the second floor of a Piikoi Parkway building, it feels like stepping back in time, a true bespoke bar with vintage art, moody lighting, and comfy couches that make it perfect for couples or a night out with friends. We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it. Parking is tight, but you can park at Ala Moana and walk over, and it's worth it. Next time we're coming back for Grandma's Old Fashioned and the pork belly bao buns. This isn't a bar you stumble into, it's one you come back to.

I immediately felt calm and relaxed here, much like everywhere else at Halekulani. The pūpū and drinks we ordered were special, thoughtfully prepared, and professionally delivered. We also ordered the hamburger, which was excellent, followed by two French press coffees and coconut cake. The staff was unpretentious and welcoming from the start--nothing stuffy despite the sophisticated setting. The musicians are so talented it felt more like a private concert or dinner theater. The pianist, Maggie, is a singer-songwriter who taught us a few things and kept us engaged the entire time. We caught up on our day, ate, and enjoyed the show. Reservations are for two hours, so there was no rush at all. Overall, this is a classy spot for a relaxed night out. Prices are about what you'd expect but even stopping in after dinner elsewhere would be nice. Reservations are not needed for the bar. The only thing I would do differently is arrive earlier to enjoy the grounds more before sunset. Valet park and enjoy your night!

There's no: "Moonglow" (Benny Goodman) or "That was my heart" (honor to Ella Fitzgerald), so I asked for my favorite aperitif, "Dubonnet" , no. But, they came up with my other favorite, sambuca Mist. I have to agree with another reviewer that the French baguette served with the charcuterie was hard as could be and inedible. I did not enjoy the choice of cheeses as they were both of the same hard boring tastes, unimaginative, mix it up. They olives should be pitted. The tiramisu dessert was very delicious, even though very small, but expected--after all its fine dining. I have no other way to tell new manager to up their game in the food and beverage department. Just wouldn't expect Halekulani to slip in these departments. Also, manager never came around or was seen checking in his or her patrons, not very 5 star there. Just being honest. The complimentary valet parking was exceptional. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

The name of the restaurant is a playful take on one of the owners name "EZ". EZ's family hails from the Philippines, so we were happy to support a local Filipino entrepreneur. ADEZ prepares its steaks rare, and lets the customer finish their steak to their liking. They offer a 500 degree hot stone and finishing salt to cook the steak more if you like, as well as add additional salt, if the customer believes its needs more. The only downside to their method is that I would have preferred my steak arrive uncut. Secondarily the sides were very good. The fries were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. In addition, the brussel sprouts were crunchy and seasoned nicely w/ the bacon. I don't remember the cost of each item. However, I believe my steak was $48, my cuz & friend had American wagyu, we had 4 cocktails, a $100 bottle of wine and the sides: Total tab came to $460 w/ tip. I thought the total was very reasonable for 3 at a steakhouse. The service was impeccable. Our waitress Kira took great care of us. The sommelier, Tessa was super nice & knowledgable, and she doubled as a waitress. EZ shared some wine with us, and the other owner Lawrence was a jack of all trades. Lawrence also took us on a tour of ADEZ's event space, that has mayjah speakeasy vibes. We were overwhelmed with Aloha & Mabuhay. Regarding the ambiance, its very nice in here. I believe its art deco with the ceiling and wallpaper, and a whimsical steer at the entrance. The vibe made me feel like I was in New Orleans. I look forward to returning the next time I come home. I felt very comfortable at ADEZ, and they have a new, fresh way to enjoy your steak. Lastly, the service is top notch, and the Aloha & Mabuhay make you feel very good.
