The Mochiko Chicken is my go to dish here. It's delicious. Comes with rice and some sort of macaroni salad that I'm not a big fan of but the chicken is REALLY good. I've let several people try it and not one has been disappointed. It also comes with a dipping sauce which really sets off the taste. Service is pretty good. I am in the area on business and decided to order some Hawaiian food thru Uber Eats from here, since I missed Hawaiian food after living there for many years. I never had worse food. The huli huli chicken did not taste good at all and I feared getting sick. The short ribs were not much better. They literally tasted like food gone bad. I only ate the lumpia and the white rice. Wow.... never again. The rice was bland and taste like box instant rice. The Huli-Huli Chicken was also bland and the Chimico (Something like that) was burnt tasting. My wife and I tried Aloha Kitchen base on some of the reviews and recommendations of friends. I was disappointed I ordered teriyaki beef and my wife ordered Kailua pork cabbage and salad. My teriyaki beef was supposed to be thinly sliced, instead sliced in chucks and looks like it came from the bottom of the pot burnt beef mixed in with the teriyaki beef. My wife's Kailua pork tastes smoky and dried. Service was terribly slow, looks like not enough help. The only dish I liked from here was the Mac salad. My husband used to work at LnL Hawaiian in Vallejo, CA and so I've had hella of that back in the day. I ordered the soy garlic chicken, ehh wasn't special, wasn't even crispy plus it was undercooked almost raw. Spam musubi, it's huge but dry because there's no sauce within it. We moved from Hawaii about 5 years ago and missed some of their signature items. Aloha kitchen is the place we go when craving some Hawaiian food. Portion sizes are generous and I usually end up taking half home and still leave feeling full. Service is very quick and always polite. Plenty of seating. Being Hawaiian and growing learning most of these dishes myself, this place is pretty dang authentic! Let me start by saying the service is amazing!! The few times I have been in there, my group sat down quickly and drinks were brought out right after we ordered. Also, a co worker and I stopped in for lunch and was in a hurry, so we called in and put in a order to eat there. It was awesome! We get there and sit right down, eat our food and get a guava cake to go! In and out in 15 min. Pupus (appetizers): The spam musubi is awesome and great presentation. Lomi salmon is salted just right and I like mine with very finely diced tomatoes and theres meets my standards. My personal favorite is the ahi poke! Great job with this dish, not to much shoyu, so the salt doesn't kill the taste of the fish! Main Dishes: The mochiko chicken is to die for! I get it every time I come in. I make my own and the breading just isn't the same as Aloha Kitchens! Another favorite is the what I call a "heart attack" waiting to happen. The loco moco dish is always good! if your looking for a hang over cure, this is your dish! This dish is Rice, two beef patties on top of the rice, over easy eggs on top of the patties; all smothered in brown gravy! Growing up always eating ramen and still do, the ramen dishes are really good. Like I have said in another review, its all about the broth! Not sure how they do it but the broth is super good! Definitely cannot go wrong with spam, eggs, wontons, and green onions in your soup! I noticed this last time I went in, they have an ideal protein menu! I though this to be pretty cool, since I know Hawaiian food definitely is not the healthiest. Guava Cake is the best I have ever had!! Now for the reason this place is a 4 and not a 5 star review. Call me picky but the mac salad is just ok. This may be a lame reason for not a 5/5 review but mac salad to me, should not taste like you just mixed noodles and mayo, then dress it with a little pepper on top to make it look like you added seasoning. I used to live in Oahu, and went back with my family a few years ago for a trip and tried all the food the island has to offer, Rainbow Drive in, leonards, Teds Bakery, etc. Aloha Kitchen in Silverdale is still my favorite place to get some good Hawaiian BBQ. The owners moved here from Hawaii a few years back and when it opened my brother and I went here all the time and its the first place I tried a different item on the menu each time and was never disappointed. My personal favorites are the Mochiko Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and Guava Chicken (only served on Mondays). They cater as well! While I am no expert in Hawaiian food and can't speak to its authenticity, I have generally had a pleasant experience dining at Aloha Kitchen. It served as my go-to restaurant when I was seeking a slight change of pace and it still may in the future - I just won't be coming here very often. When Aloha Kitchen first opened, I was hesitant to check it out. It looked like a teriyaki shop under the guise of Hawaiian cuisine. This "teriyaki" feel is further magnified by the location of Aloha Kitchen, squeezed in near a Verizon store and other retail outlets. When I eventually got around to stopping in, I was surprised at the quality of food and the friendly atmosphere. This was a place I would be returning to. Fast forward to today and my initial impression of Aloha Kitchen has diminished a bit. While I still think the food is decent, it has gone down quite a bit based on my most recent visit. My favorite dish - the kalbi short ribs - used to be tender, flavorful, and plentiful. The mac salad had a great mellow flavor and consistency and the rice was the perfectly sticky and moist. My last visit revealed what I have been reading in other reviews to be true. The kalbi was tougher and definitely not as flavorful. The mac salad was bland and tasted like mayonnaise and the rice had an unusual consistency. It wasn't a bad meal, but the quality has obviously taken a serious dive. I don't know the owners or staff of this restaurant, but - like many teriyaki shops - it feels as if they aren't trying as hard now that they've established a presence in the area. The amount of food they dish up on your plate has remained consistent but it's hard to justify paying $15-ish dollars when you're getting "meh" quality food, even in good quantity. Kinda far place to eat for me, but having family over kinda made me do it lol. We decided to eat at Aloha Kitchen because we've lived in Hawaii for many years ago. When we entered, the front door blew a breeze of good smelling food reminding me of Oahu. It wasn't busy so we were immediately sat down. The menu was pretty short, but they have a decent choice of meals. I ordered the kalua quesadilla. When the food arrived, I was a bit disappointed. The quesadilla was soft, oily and barely fried. The pork itself was hot and tasty though, but tasted funky with the mango salsa. The staff were friendly, but kinda kept to themselves which is understanding at times when it's busy, and it wasn't. Luckily this will be a first and last time I go back to Aloha Kitchen. The food was "ok", but definitely not authentic Hawaiian food. read more

Food was cold, one of our parties got wrong order, gravy on hamburger was just from a packet and not very tasty. Rice was mushy and cold, everything was swimming in liquid from cabbage and server spilled it all over my phone case. Macaroni salad was dry. Not what we were expecting at all from a Hawaiin food establishment. Won't be back again and would advise everyone else to stay away. I've ordered take out from Aloha Kitchen 3 times since March. I love supporting local businesses and their food tastes just like being back in Hawaii. I usually order the poké bowl and a side of kalua pork. Their food is tasty but it's pricey. Recently (the last 2 visits) the portions have shrunk greatly and the price has not reflected this. At $16 for ahi with rice, I expect a lot more than what I got. And the side of pork used to be very generous. Yesterday it was a tiny container of dry meat. I've been here a handful of times already so ask me why I still haven't posted a review for them yet? I couldn't tell you. This is a perfect spot & menu for when I'm missing the taste of home. The prices are somewhat a bit high for what I would want to pay but it's a sacrifice on my wallet that I'm willing to make to cure my deprivation. I mainly go for their laulau which tends to be out sometimes so I usually call ahead of time before driving down - just to make sure they have some available. The texture of the sticky felt like they were using a batch from mid day yesterday rather I know that to be fact I don't know. The plaza this Hawaiian joint is located at sucks. Korean BBQ blows from my last visit then I told myself I was going to try the neighboring Hawaiian joint that was a disappointment too. We ordered fried rice, a combo plate with kalua pork/shoyu chicken, and mochiko chicken plate. The plates include 2 scoops of white rice and macaroni salad - extra for substituting fried rice. Large portions. The shopping center had plenty of parking space. Our waitress was very nice and the fried rice tasted fresh. Even though the mochiko chicken was good, it didn't taste as fresh. Had been craving Hawaiian food for a while and came upon this place near my hotel. Ended up getting the pork plate. I was very impressed as it had some real good flavor. The mac salad was also very tasty. I've been to other places where their pork just tastes like gristle, but it was real good here.
