    A flight

Let me start with this: I *LOVE* ginger beer. And to find a place that is dedicated to ginger beers is like finding a little piece of heaven. What a brilliant idea and an awesome shop! They have a rotating selection of house made ginger beers on tap--all made with fresh Hawaiian ingredients--that you can try. But if you just can't make up your mind from the small tastes, you can buy a flight of four, and go back and forth between your favorites. The three of us got flights, and frankly, we liked them all. That said, my favorite by a long shot is the classic (ginger and only ginger!), but the chili ginger beer is awesome too (with a nice little kick at the end), as is the lilikoi (a local papaya). If you need food, they have wonderful panini sandwiches. And if you haven't had enough ginger beer at the shop, you can take a bottle of fresh pour home with you. Note: this place has limited hours, pretty much extended lunch, closing at 2:30. Don't come too late in the day, or you'll be disappointed! Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. And when you enter, the whole place has the wonderful smell of ginger. This will be one of my favorite haunts in Lihue!

We were looking for a cold drink and found Aloha Ginger Beer. We got a cup of the classic ginger beer and a #1 smoothie (mango, banana, ginger, oat milk) which were super refreshing in the afternoon. Friendly service and we were able to try samples of the different flavor ginger beers too-the classic and Lilikoi were my favorite. Got a cute nene card too. Best of all, there's arcade games! Will definitely return again when we're in the area!

Perfect balance of heat and sweet! I love the classic and Lilikoi ginger beers. The Ginger Slush is my absolute favorite afternoon pick-me-up.

Have you ever wished you had a cool dad? I never did because I'm a loner, but if you longed for one, hit up Aloha Ginger Beer! Owner Casey makes the best paninis, hotdogs (I prefer the kimchee dog that comes with nori, kimchee and slaw on a fluffy brioche bun), and GINGER BEER! Him and his assistant are friendly, respectful, and really care about your dining experience whether it's your first time or fiftieth. No pressure to dress up here. It's 100% casual and you'll feel like you're eating at your friend's house. They have cool merch from local businesses and a bunch of retro arcade machines, some of which are free. Don't park at the office building next door.

Everything is house-made and sooo good! The flavors are unique, refreshing, not overly sweet, and not too fizzy (just the right amount). You can sample everything, and the staff is super knowledgeable and kind. If you love ginger beer, this is a must!

A great find for ginger beer. The space is cozy and playful vibe. A variety of flavors offered. Give a flight a try to determine your go to. They're all very tasty. Will be back.

Local ginger beer place! I 10/10 recommend getting the flight when you come to get a taste of the different flavors. We ended up doing the Lilikoi, Classic, Hibiscus, and Lavender. Very affordable and a fantastic little midday treat. The music was low key vibes and the staff/owners are very friendly. Support the local businesses where you can is my motto, and being Californian I can say that this was a fantastic little stop from us as tourists!

Hands down, the best ginger beer I have ever tasted. The original was my favorite, but the lilikoi came in a close second. The service was so friendly - we got to try every flavor, including the slush. Being able to sample the ginger beers is what convinced us to get 2 bottles. Wish I could drink this ginger beer every day. Highly recommend!

    Great merch!

I've had ginger beer before but none of them compared to Aloha Ginger Beer. Found them at a stand at the local farmer's market. Tasting a couple samples definitely sold us. So fresh, so zingy good! The gentleman manning the station was so knowledgeable and friendly. It made the friendly transaction perfect. Fast forward to finding their storefront this afternoon! A great corner store filled with wonderful merch and all things from various vendors. Loved the fresh baskets of ginger at the entrance along with seating and classic arcade games including Pac-man! You gotta love a place that not only serves a great beverage but values great games of the past! There are numerous flavors available at the store: holiday spice, similar to chai, lavender, original, hibiscus, and a few more. All delicious. Today we had the slushie. So tasty and refreshingly enjoyable. I highly recommend this establishment not only because it's a small business, but because of great customer service, professionalism and friendly staff. The young man at the farmers market was at this store today and helped us to locate a t-shirt In the size we wanted. He even remembered us and treated us like family. Mahalo. We will return!!

Wish we didn't wait until the end of our trip to try Aloha Ginger Beer, they will forever change your perception of ginger beer and become your new standard, real ginger flavor and spice without being too sweet Different flavors rotate so we decided to do a flight! My favorite was the lilikoi but we also loved the slushie which comes more highly concentrated, but is so refreshing!! Really wish we could get this in CA or that it were easier to bring home

How 'bout some refreshments before going to the airport? Came here 3hrs. Before our flight and best decision ever! Just a 4mins. drive and you'll find this local store who is famous of their ginger beer. I am not leaving Kauai without trying their famous ginger beer. Upon entering KC greeted us gave us a little introduction 'bout the store. I sample all their ginger beer after that and I end up getting the hibiscus. It was a bit bitter but at the same token kinda addicting. LoL. Also I popped my medicine by the way before drinking, just in case I won't end up in emergency. They don't only sell ginger beer here as they also offer some quick eats like hotdog on a bun (teriyaki dog, kimchi dog, wasabi dog). They also sell treats like cacao, raw honey, ginger candy and some merch made by other local artists. There's one arcade game that you can play while waiting for your order. I love this store. It is welcoming and the ginger beer background story is interesting. And this local businesses is worth my support so I say please do visit when in Kauai and give their drinks a try. Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yeeps.

For someone that loves supporting really cool, awesome local businesses, this place is a dream! We walked into Aloha Ginger Beer, located in downtown Lihue, and were warmly greeted by the owner and master brewer who was extremely friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great recommendations for local food and coffee spots! We got a chance to sample their classic, turmeric, lavender, lili koi and Christmas themed ginger beers. He also let us try their ginger beer slushy (yum)! All were absolutely delicious; we especially loved the lili koi - it is a passion fruit and orange flavor and a 10/10! They also support other local businesses by carrying their merchandise in store. So glad we stumbled upon this truly hidden gem!!

What a great find. Highly recommend a visit, we did a couple of flights and also tried the two slushy versions that were available. Personal favorites were the spiced and base ginger beer. They freshly press the local ginger and then flavor them. Great as a natural drink and as a high quality mixer for cocktails. They also sell a number of local supplier items as well. Check them out.

So decided to go to Costco to see if their optical department could tighten my Costco glasses before heading back to the mainland. The optical department closes earlier than the store itself, so we ended up wandering around. We intentionally went there on the last day after our luggage had been packed, thinking it would prevent us from buying things to bring back. But there were two things that we don't see on the mainland, that were of good price: 1.5 Coffee beans from Molokai Estate Coffee (100% from Molokai, and which my wife confirmed later was very good) and a Ube cream Liquor from the Philippines, that went great with the said coffee. Both fit in our checked bags and made it home safe. It wasn't too crowded because it was close to closing and was of large size, including self checkout lanes. Another good visit to Costco.

We arrived late in the day, so we missed out on the fresh poke and other seafood goodies. At least were able to grab some bottled water, Taro Brand Salmon Lomi, and chips. Those items alone were worth grabbing, and lasted us the entire week. My admiration for this location is because it wasn't as crowded as the Honolulu locations. Or maybe we just arrived at a good time late in the day on a Monday. Here, we were able to navigate through easily and select various treats for gifting. Like Mauna Loa chocolate macadamia nuts, a variety of Hawaiian Host items, and I tripped out seeing these bell pepper crisp and a ramen crunch snacks. We bought two bags of furikake and shoyu flavored rice crackers, or arare. In the bakery, I died and really wanted to try this fresh baked Mayorca Suprema sweet roll. Check out my pic, you'll be droolin'! And you can't leave the store without buying a bag of Island Princess Macadamia Popcorn Crunch or their honey roasted macadamia nuts. We did see cheap, but made of decent quality rain jackets if you need one ($19). As well as some bargain deals on casual shoes and sandals. No problem upon check out, service was cordial. And oh yeah, their outside food court is the standard. Hot dog and a drink $1.50, chicken bake, and a slice of pizza. Sadly, nothing different. No issues finding parking either. In short, this Costco location has a wide variety of items not found on the mainland. Great gift items as well as supplies you'll need for your resort stay. I mean, you can go to the Island Market or ABC Store, but that's where it can start to get pricey. Just my thoughts and my words. To each his own!

I have to say that if you want to meet some people who absolutely embody the Aloha Spirit...go to the ABC Store #58 (I had to look this up to make sure I had the correct store). The first time I went into this ABC Store, the cashier Ana, had the biggest most beautiful smile, and warmly welcomed me, was so genuinely joyful that she beamed with radiance...and I ain't kidding!! I'm physically disabled and have difficulty walking, and every time I go into that ABC store Ana is always beaming with Aloha Spirit...she is the ultimate embodiment of joy! You might think, well that's her job...but nope...that's all her! She even introduced me to the stores "HI-Chew expert" and he told me the secret to making the ultimate HI-Chew rainbow of flavors rope...and that was more impressive than I can even explain...and I'm not giving that secret away...you will have to ask him yourself. Everyone who I have met at ABC Store #58...have all been so helpful and so friendly...that this type of review would generally be for a small "Mom and Pop" store and not a large franchise. But, I had to let everyone know that even though the true Aloha Spirit can be found all over the island...Ana, the HI-Chew guy, and all the other employees deserve to be recognized for being themselves...and beaming with truly genuine Aloha Spirt...and just in case you think what I have just written isn't true...go inside and ask for Ana...after you see her big beaming smile and joyful personality...you will understand why I had to write this review!
