I visited this 2-week old juice cafe / kava bar on my first trip to magical Kauai. It's a really cool space with good people, delicious drinks, plant medicines, and hand carved works of art. And it looks like they have frequent events, mocktail hours, etc. It's as much a cafe as a sort of plant medicine drink apothecary - I recommend chatting with the staff to determine what's going to serve you best based on your body's needs that day. There are so many options on the drink menus! I don't even know where to start. I had 3 drinks throughout my trip, and bought some dried Kava, dried Kratom, and local honey. I didn't have the opportunity to eat there but the menu looks fantastic! They offer a healing broth that would be perfect if you're feeling a bit rumpish from the demands of travel. I will have to try the Luau Stew and Green Papaya Salad next time. Such nourishing ingredients! I highly recommend for healthy, nourishing, medicinal food and drinks! And good vibes.

Drinks are strong and well made, with a solid variety of rums to choose from. You truly can't go wrong with any of the Mai Tais. Food was surprisingly good. We loved the kalua pork nachos, the poke bowl, and the panko battered keiki tenders. Perfect beach bar food but done right. If you're staying at the Hilton, you get two free Mai Tai vouchers per day at check in, which makes this spot an easy go to. One of the highlights was the chickens casually wandering up to the bar and the locals sharing background stories and cultural insight about the island. Relaxed, welcoming, and a really fun place to hang out.

Three hours to be exact, and the airport was unsurprisingly quite small. There was a mini-market, a couple of places to eat, and this casual tiki bar. Of course we were drawn in even though it was crowded due to several concurrent flight delays. The bartender was busy, even providing table service without any staff assistance. We managed to snag a window-side table, and while we balked a bit at the price, we ordered a pair of $22.49 Macadamia Nut Espresso Martinis, a luscious libation of vodka, Borghetti espresso liqueur, macadamia nut honey, and nitro-infused espresso (Photo 7). I ordered the Teriyaki Burger with fries and a Lava Flow, and both really hit the spot. The burger had a great sweet-and-savory balance from the teriyaki glaze, pineapple, slaw, and shoyu mayo. The worst mai tai I have ever had. My god. Ordered the "top shelf" Mai tai, and it was absolutely brutal. First, it wasn't shaken OR stirred. What does this mean? It was served one ingredient on top of the next, room temperature, and tasted like a hot mess. We actually felt sick from it. The amount of syrup this bartender used was crazy. She's either not tasting her drinks, or has just fried her taste buds doing god knows what over the years. Please, for your customer's sake, train the bartenders.

Great place for weddings, too. We had a late lunch here. The menu is standard American fair and local dishes. I had cream of mushroom soup and a burger. The soup was pretty good, until I found undissolved clumps of flour at the bottom. My personal preference was if for it to have not been pureed as much, but that didn't affect taste. They kindly took the soup off the bill even though I didn't ask for that, given I had eaten most of it. The burger was also good, cooked to order. I chose fried for my side and they came out hot and tasty. It was a large portion, too, so much that I still had some left even after sharing. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and we had a little time to wander about through some of the shops and buy gifts. Some shops are upstairs, and there is no elevator. Im guessing there must be a ramp somewhere to get you to the restaurant at least, although I didn't readily see it. If you need the ramp you may want you call ahead to ascertain its location. Nice place for special occasions and for tourists that won't totally break the bank.
