I stayed here recently for a wedding. This wasn't the hotel that the wedding was at, but ended up…read morebeing super nice. I booked three night total under two different bookings but the staff was able to easily accommodate both bookings. My first room was a standard room that was comfortable and had a porch with a beautiful view of the valley. The second room I moved to was bigger and super spacious. I loved both, but the bigger room also had a bigger bathroom which was great for getting ready for a wedding. I ate at their restaurant a couple times and the food was good! I had the green chilaquiles and coffee. The serving staff was super friendly and attentive. My favorite thing about my stay was that there are about five dogs that live on the property. Most of them are golden retrievers who just roam and want love! They were a cute surprise. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Valle!

Penny pinching hotel. Do not wash your face with the WASH…read morecloth if you have any makeup on. Room was smaller than i thought but no problem. Note that there is no ice machine in the facility. We paid like 3 usd for a bag of ice. Up until check out; we were ready to come back. On the second morning of our trip the cleaning lady asked me if I needed room service. I said no thank you but did ask for more towels. She asked me for the dirty ones in order to give me more. She literally gave me the amount and sizes of towels I gave her. I get it, no problem but I did note it. I gave her one facial wash cloth and two bath towels. So at check out the day later, the man at reception tells us that there's a note on our paperwork to charge us for one facial towel and a bath towel. I enquired why we would be charged and he said maybe because they're stained. I said yes, I know the facial towel was stained because since it's a facial wash cloth I used it to wash my face! So he concured that the stains were the makeup on the facial wash cloth. At this point I'm pissed because it is not in the rules that you'll be charged if you stain towels with makeup. Also what hotel charges for make up stains? It's a wash cloth. People use wash cloths to wash themselves. I'm not even sure if the large towel had any stains but the facial wash cloth did have a bit that is washable. So he charged us 15 usd for both towels which we wouldn't even get to take home. Spend your cash elsewhere. There are nicer hotels in Valle de Guadalupe that will not charge you for using amenities included in the room.

Yumano Restaurant @ Meglan Review…read more We rolled in hangry and ready to inhale anything. The ceviche saved our souls - fresh, tangy, and gone in sixty seconds. Then came the ribeye... and let's just say it was giving well-done sadness. They didn't ask how we wanted it cooked, so we ended up gnawing on steak that was tougher than our Monday mornings. Presentation was gorgeous though, so at least our eyes were fed. We also did the wine tasting with four wines. Honestly, they were just okay - but to be fair, we were so tired and hungry we probably could've sipped grape juice and called it a day. Overall, come for the ceviche and the views, skip the ribeye unless you're training your jaw, and maybe do the tasting when you're not on the brink of a hanger meltdown. Huevo Republic @ Meglan Review Breakfast is included... kinda. It's not anything off the menu - you get select items or they'll deduct $10 off your bill if you want to live your best brunch life. I got the chilaquiles and they were solid - the half order is what counts as "free," but it was enough to fuel my wine adventures for the day. The first morning was so slow, like waiting-for-your-crush-to-text-back slow, but day two was popping. They got my order wrong, but honestly, I was too hungry to care and just ate it anyway. ‍ Their green juice was surprisingly good, and my friend's hot cakes with fruit looked fluffy and happy - though I think the half order would've been plenty unless you're training for a carb marathon. Staff was sweet, just busy, so some things slipped through the cracks. But we rolled with it. Because at the end of the day... we were in Valle, drinking wine before noon. Life could be worse. Aroma @ Meglan Review My friend needed a jolt of coffee after her coffee... so take that as you will. The coffee itself was good, but the service could use a little caffeine boost too. My friend doesn't speak Spanish, and the barista pretended not to understand her until I ordered in Spanish - suddenly, everyone was bilingual. We grabbed her drinks, sat for a bit, and soaked in the pretty scenery before making the long trek back to our part of the property. Honestly, worth it for the views and decent brew - just make sure you come caffeinated enough to order your coffee for your coffee.

This review is for the restaurant, Yumano, at the Maglén Resort…read more As I mentioned in my previous reviews, I had friends staying at this hotel for a wedding we were attending and decided to grab dinner at their hotel. This hotel has a few restaurants, coffee shop and winery/brewery, while my hotel had a restaurant but was closed the day we decided to try Yumano. I wanted something simple and easy since I joined my friends late, so I went for the margherita pizza. The server was friendly and checked in a couple times while I was there and bringing us new drinks. The pizza was delicious and gave me leftovers for the next day. Overall, an easy dining experience!

The property itself was beautiful, grape vines everywhere, a beautiful pool/hot tub area and a fountain with a view of the valley in the background. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The best part about the room was the view and the patio overlooking the view. The service was perfect, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. And not all the staff can speak perfect English, but it was easy to communicate with everyone, and I cannot express just how friendly every staff member was. This hotel had everything we needed. There are two restaurants on site, one that is open for breakfast/lunch, and closes around 5pm and another that is open for dinner and opens around 5-6pm. The dinner restaurant on site Aledano, is newer and the Chef is incredible, he came to speak with us and make recommendations and when I told him I was vegetarian he prepared the Orzo dish without meat and honestly, it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. There is also a beautiful winery on site with wonderful wine. Everything about this hotel is perfect. I would recommend it more for couples given how romantic is can be but would be great alone or with friends as well! I cannot wait to go back and visit!

The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was traditional comfort Mexican food (except for the toast). There were small details that unfortunately we experienced, the roof in the bathroom was leaking and we weren't able to move to another room (There are only four rooms). We came in November and it was extremely cold and we had to go into town and buy a small heater for our room. Overall our stay here was pleasant and by addressing the small details this property could easily be a 5 star rating.

I was lucky to be referred to this vineyard by a relative who lives half a mile from this location. Not only was the place amazing in scenery and location but the owners and staff were beyond awesome! My wife and I were looking for a location to have our wedding and reception at and Rancho El Parral was hands down the best places to host our amazing event! They included a full breakfast with renting the rooms and even allowed external guests to join us. They also allowed us to have a post wedding small party with no added costs. The owners Albert and Olivia were so great to work with regarding our special day, that they made it a point to make sure we were all well taken care of throughout the whole weekend and even after we left. Their main focus was to make sure that everything was taken care of. They went above and beyond for us given that they had just finished harvesting their grapes and were working on making their line of amazing wine. Working with Olivia was such an easy process and her contract options were so easy to work with and competitive. She was also so helpful in making adjustments to our guest list 4 days before the actual event and discounted the total owed!! As my wife and I were on our honeymoon, we talked about having our birthday party there again because of our experience with the owners, staff and location. We were also approached by quite a bit of our guests to get the contact information of the place so that they can have events there too. There is so much to offer from visiting this location, so much to offer like a lavender field that is the only one in the region and the products of that lavender field. I recommend this location to anyone curious to get an awesome scenery of the valley, for such a comfortable stay in their rooms, and for a great tasting wine that is sure to win awards in the coming years. Their wine, artisan products and amazing scenery are just small details that made our most memorable days even more amazing. We will definitely be returning, often. They also have a restaurant that is in the works and we look forward to seeing it grow. All the guests that were witness to the event said it was by far an amazing place to have any event. Albert and Olivia (the owners) really made us feel like we were their family and although they weren't able to celebrate our reception because they were more concerned about making the event run smooth and were more help for our coordinator but we would have loved for them to be a part of it and I will be sure to have more events with them. They even gave us an amazing coordinator that worked with us and Olivia to make the dream a reality. Thank you so much Albert and Olivia! We will always hold you dear to our marriage!

The sauce paired with it created such a rich and flavorful combination -- definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Everything tasted elevated and beautifully prepared. I'll definitely be recommending Almatierra to my family and friends. If you're in Ensenada and love flavorful, upscale dining, this place is worth checking out!

Ojo Azul in Valle de Guadalupe is a really lovely spot for a romantic, peaceful getaway…read more The hotel has a unique charm; it includes a small winery, a restaurant, and even a cave cellar you can go wine tastingin, which was honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It definitely feels like a special place that's more about relaxing and enjoying the wine country vibes than doing anything busy or fast-paced. The rooms are separate from each other, so it feels very private and quiet.. Perfect if you're looking to disconnect and have a calm weekend away... Our room was clean and had plenty of space... The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was roomy... They also have a refrigerator stocked with Their in house wine bottles you can choose from, which adds a fun touch... The property has a pool and spa area, but just keep in mind it's communal, there aren't private hot tubs or private spa setups in the rooms... Still, everything was well-maintained and relaxing... Pricing felt reasonable compared to other hotels in Valle, especially for how nice and comfortable everything was... One thing to note: Valle de Guadalupe is very spread out. This isn't a place to stay if you want nightlife or to be within walking distance of multiple wineries. You'll definitely need to drive to get around, and some of the roads are unpaved... The host was also extremely welcoming.. We arrived late after hours, and they were still available at the front desk, answered all our questions, and made us feel really comfortable... Overall, Ojo Azul is a beautiful, clean, romantic place to stay if you're looking for a quiet wine country escape. Would definitely recommend for couples looking to unwind..

Surrounded by wine the whole weekend through. Private eco-loft with the prettiest view. You can peek out and see the vineyards down below. And watch the stars twinkle putting on a show. They have a gourmet restaurant beside the infinity pool. And they bring your food and drinks so you can stay cool. I recommend avocado toast and dragon fruit cocktail And you can walk through the vineyards and follow the trail. This wine paradise feels a million miles away. I'd recommend for a weekend get away.

There is absolutely no doubt that Encuentro is one of the more beautiful stays south of San Diego…read more It is a unique loft hidden on a vineyard hill with excellent views of the Guadalupe Valley. The good: They offer most things a hotel/resort would, excellent dining, scenic views, valet transport, clean spaces. The bad: The terrain to drive and walk on is rough. To go to the pool/restaurant you will have a short walk through a dirt path which is not terrible but can be freezing in the evening. The only comfortable furniture in the loft will be the bed, otherwise everything else will be industrial wood and cast iron furniture. The shuttle drivers are the only reason they are not getting less of a rating. They were polite, helpful and timely. The front office staff, though nice, were not willing to help with much else. Overall, This is a stunning location for a short stay. Loved soaking in the sunset sitting next to a fire with a glass of cabernet. For the price, I truly believe it could be better! A full length mirror, comfortable seating in the rooms (the poolside furniture is great), better barking set up because its an unpaved rough ascent to the parking area. On my next trip to Valle, I would look for something with more of a homey/hotel feel as Encuentro is more of an experience.
