Her website was easy to navigate and I received a reminder email and a text with the codes to the building and bathrooms. The process was very warm and inviting which instantly calmed my nerves. We started with a quick chat on my needs, experience, expectations and goals for a successful acupuncture experience. Before disrobing, I had a quick check in about consent as this involves touching and being comfortable with potentially less clothing on if you choose to. We started with a heating pad and electric shock pads placed on my back then I was invited to lay on my back and needles were placed starting on my forehead and third eye all the way down my body. I was asked between music or meditation and choose meditation. It was so relaxing that I dozed off a few times during the 20ish minutes! Afterwards I flipped on my back where I got cupping. A light lotion was applied along with the cupping. That process was another 20 minutes long. After that. Was briefly chatted and she answered all my questions. Highlights of the experience included the constant and check ins. It was a two way dialogue about it and she was receptive to when I asked for more or less. Another highlight was the atmosphere. She truly made it a trustworthy experience that was physically reinvigorating as it was emotionally and spiritually. Will be going back!

There was a very nice woman dressed in a pretty dress and she greeted me upon entering. There were some other visitors after me and she offered them tea. I was looking at the nice tree inside that had leaves of prominent people of Indian descent on each leaf. I spotted VP Kamala Harris, UCSD Chancellor Pradeep Khosla, and Mother Teresa on leaves. The lady asked me if I wanted some tea biscuit crackers. They were cute and small, in a cocktail napkin, and they reminded me of "The Crown" English Tea biscuits. I snacked on them while I perused the place. I enjoyed the cookie/crackers. There were so many cool things to see here. I loved the figurines, the tv was playing some cool videos, there were Indian artifacts, and the overall vibe was peaceful. They woman asked me if I wanted a tattoo and I told her yes. She let me choose which design I wanted. These are the peel and stick water transfer tattoos. I was super excited. She administered the tattoo on my hand and it came out so pretty! See my photo. We originally attempted to plan everything ourselves--flights, hotels, transportation, sightseeing--but quickly realized how overwhelming it was to manage all the moving pieces. That's when we decided to try a travel agent (with all the online travel booking sites, I didn't even realize they still existed!) And we are so incredibly grateful we did! From the very first conversation, Natalie took the time to understand our family's needs, interests, and travel style. She handled everything--airfare, hotel reservations, ground transportation, activities, and dining recommendations--with such care, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm. She even thought of things we hadn't considered, and her advice elevated our trip in ways we never expected. One of the most helpful tools she provided was the TripPlan app, which housed our complete itinerary, step-by-step check-in instructions, flight details, hotel info, and all our travel arrangements organized by day and location. It also included Natalie's personalized suggestions, travel tips, and hidden gems for each destination. That app became our travel bible--it truly made the experience seamless and stress-free. What really stood out was how much Natalie cares. She clearly has deep knowledge of each destination and it shows in the thoughtful touches and curated experiences she builds into her plans. She went above and beyond to ensure that our family had a memorable and meaningful vacation, and we felt fully supported every step of the way. Natalie didn't just help us plan a vacation--she helped us create lifelong memories. We can't thank her enough and are already looking forward to working with her again for our next adventure. Thank you, Natalie and Olive Travel Agency--you are simply the best!

Very family friendly and great to bring all ages. The conference facilities were very professional and organized. The staff were friendly and kept everything on schedule and stocked. Our group was over 400 and there was never an empty beverage, condiment, or supply container. Meals and happy hour appetizers were very delicious. Not the expected "conference fair." Every detail from beautiful food displays to quality and delicious options for every dietary need. Located right on the Quivira Basin, views were peaceful and in walking distance to many eateries and recreational activities. The facilities were well maintained. Pool & spa areas were clean and welcoming. You need to walk a bit to the gym and pool, but being outside is the be of the best parts. They offer a small park-like area with outdoor games located right next to the gift shop. If you take a short walk, you can enjoy the passing boats and wildlife just feet away. Most rooms have great views and mine had a balcony overlooking the dock of boats, seals, fish, and occasional passersby. Overall, the experience left nothing to be desired.

This opens our lines of communication just in case I have questions or needs that could be provided prior to me checking in. My concierge was able to upgrade us and our room was all ready when we checked in. I'm not a fan of the $50 per night parking fee. If you will be attending Sea World or go on any excursions, then this is a great location. But there's basically no food options here or within walking distance. So just keep that in mind and bring your food/snacks. Luckily, there's a mini fridge in the room that you can use. The property itself gives off Hawaii vibes. From the lobby to the grounds. The room was nice and clean and smelled really nice. Not sure what scent they sprayed in the room, but definitely was calming to me. Our restroom was a bit on the small side though. It gets crowded with 2 people in there. The shower had good pressure and it's a full on shower, not a tub/shower combo. My 2 biggest issue with this room was that the latch on the sliding door did not latch unless you are holding it up. I did mention this to the staff member when I checked out so that maintenance can fix it for the next guests. I know that the possibility of someone breaking in via the balcony was minuscule, but the worry was still there. The other issue I have is that there's only 2 outlets behind the main TV. So if you have a streaming box or something else you need power for, you won't be able to use the ports here as 1 is for the TV and the other one is a device that will charge you $75/day if it's unplugged. I wish they would provide extra ports for you to be able to use your travel router or AppleTV. The other thing that I was disappointed in is the internet speed. It was pretty slow and not great for streaming or if there are multiple devices connected. But overall, this is a very nice hotel, but just realize that there isn't anything around within walking distance besides the marina and park.

It's so tranquil, zen, and makes you feel awestruck! I feel as if I'm being transported to a different world. One of peace, love, & tranquility. The pieces and wood artifacts are very unique! So many things as an option. Varies in size and pricing. They pride on the quality! As it can be an heirloom piece in your home, for a long time, and/or passed down for continual use. The staffers are always so helpful and they seem to like working there. I joke with them when I play around with the sound bowls. That they got to endure customers like me who might not know what the heck they are doing. Maybe someday I'll met the owner but believe he resides in Bali where many of their artisan pieces come. Each visit I buy a new bracelet or jewelry piece as they are made, donated, and then sold here. The proceeds go towards a program for kids in India. Handcrafted so each piece is unique. Reasonably priced too. A little goes a long way elsewhere in the world. So this makes me happy. I wish a little could go a little bit further stateside. But here we are. So many imports from different regions like Thailand, Bali, and etc. Just all around great vibes here! I cherish the blessing stone they gifted to me. They said it for my "patience" in waiting for them AND as a day after my actual birthday present. Thank you! Thank you! It truly made my day! Already thinking about my next stroll here!

Healthy Life Recovery gave me something I didn't know I needed: time, safety, and a real chance to…read morerebuild my life. I was here for over a year and I can honestly say this program provided me with the tools and resources to save my life. One of the things that sets Healthy Life apart is that it's a year-long program. That year gives you enough time to rebuild a solid foundation, whether you choose to use it or not. So many other programs don't offer that opportunity. Healthy Life does, and that extra time is what helped me get steady in my sobriety. Another thing I can't say enough about is the staff. There is always someone you can reach out to, day or night, and they will respond. I've had moments where I was struggling or a friend was in need, and staff always showed up. That kind of care and compassion isn't something you find just anywhere. The BHT's were a huge part of my journey here. On my hardest days, they met me with patience, encouragement, and even humor. They knew how to show up for me in ways that lifted my spirit and reminded me I wasn't alone. Some of my toughest moments turned into turning points because of the support they gave. The groups taught me things I still carry with me, the therapists genuinely cared, and most of the staff are in recovery themselves. That in and of itself gave me so much hope, because I could see people who had been where I was and made it through. I never felt alone here. Bonnie, the clinical director, guided me with wisdom and compassion that kept me grounded through some of my toughest days. James, who keeps the operations side running so smoothly, is the heart and engine of this place--his work doesn't always get the spotlight, but it absolutely shapes the experience here. And Keith and Ryan, the founders, are not like other owners. They built this place from the heart, and it shows. They don't just sit behind the scenes--they're present, they care, and they make sure every single person who comes through here is treated with dignity. I never once felt like I was just a number or an insurance policy. I felt like a human being who mattered, and that kind of leadership is rare. Healthy Life became my San Diego family. From the day I arrived with my dog Apollo, who was welcomed like family too, I knew I had found a home. That sense of belonging has only grown stronger. Even after graduating, I'm still connected through the alumni group, which keeps me accountable and plugged into a community of people who want the same thing: to stay sober and live better lives. Today, I am over two years sober, something I never thought was possible. When I first came here, I was hesitant, unsure if this was the right step or if I could even make it work. If you have a loved one struggling with addiction or if you're reading this and you feel the same way--I've been where you are. All I can say is: take the chance. This program gave me a life I didn't think I'd ever have, and I'm living proof that it's worth it. Healthy Life Recovery gave me the foundation, the guidance, and the love I needed to get here, and for that I will always be forever grateful.

After being provided with the time needed to stabilize, I've been blessed with the opportunity to receive housing, as well as extremely supportive & informative group & individual therapy. This program is more than just a program. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to experience the level of care that has been provided. If it wasn't for Healthy Life Recovery, I'm not sure that I would be here to write this review. Words can't begin to express the gratitude that I have for the staff & program. I will forever be thankful for this experience.
