This is located on the first floor of an office building, and they offer validation for $10 worth of parking. The service is quick and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. -The bla&t ($15) sandwich came with smoked bacon, lettuce, avocado, tamo, basil mayo, and best of all, levain bread. It was the perfect combination, and I enjoyed every bite. -The crisp panko chicken ($15) sandwich came with tomato, avocado arugula, sriracha mayo, hot honey, pickles, and a toasted brioche bun. The crisp chicken lived up to its name, and stayed crispy the entire time. -I also got an iced caffee latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup ($6.40). It was refreshing. This restaurant also has quite a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, both with good lighting. If you want a place to work/study, this could be your new pick. I would return here the next time that I'm craving a bla&t sandwich!
I was looking for a cafe in the University City area and heard great things about Banyan Kitchen and Cafe. My expectations were high and they were met with flying colors. Firstly the design of the space is beautiful. It is located on the ground floor of a shared office space. Natural light pours in from floor to ceiling windows and there are booth and table seating options. My wife and I settled into a booth and were quickly helped by the manager who gave us cups and an ice water pitcher. This was a really nice touch. We ordered: - BLAT Sandwich $15.00 - Panko Chicken Sandwich $15.00 - Iced vanilla cafe Latte $6.00 The sandwiches were spectacular. I loved the crispy breaded chicken - the chicken was juicy and flavorful and the breading was perfectly done. It definitely tasted fresh and home made. The BLAT was vibrant had excellent balance. Bacon was thick, crispy on the outside and nicely chewy on the inside. I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the service here which is spectacular. The workers are so friendly and efficient. They validate parking up to $10 which was plenty for our visit. I will definitely be back!
Ordered through an app called TooGoodToGo, which is an interesting concept: participating restaurants put together surprise bags with food at a fraction of the regular price. You place an order, then swing by at the designated time -- usually mid-afternoon or near closing -- so nothing goes to waste. I placed an order via TooGoodToGo to pick up a surprise bag from Banyan Kitchen & Bar and here's what I scored... THE FOOD. - Spinach, Tomato, Feta, and Swiss Quiche. I received five of these and I'm not even complaining. The crust was flakey and buttery. Inside, the filling was wonderfully airy yet custardy, with bright spinach and sweet roasted tomatoes tucked into creamy layers of Swiss and tangy feta. Each bite had that perfect balance of earthy greens, salty cheese, and rich egg. Highly recommend. THE VERDICT. These quiches were a total win and downright addictive. I'd come back to order these again and try other dishes too.

Our lunch was excellent, made to order fresh, and perfectly portioned. This location is within an office building making it a very quiet, clean, and modern designed restaurant. If you're looking to have a good and quiet meal, or snack Banyan Kitchen & Cafe is the place; I highly recommend!
My husband works in same building so he's here pretty often. I stopped by to have lunch with him and I'll definitely be back. Tasty food with friendly service. Nice, cozy little cafe. It does get busy during lunchtime so it's best to go early or call in your order.

One of the finer establishments to eat at for locals and business workers alike. They carry a wide selection of things to eat. There are plenty of spots inside and outside to take your food and enjoy the natural outdoors.
It's a ritual at this point. Twice a week when I need protein, their Steak Breakfast Burrito is to die for. Hearty, tender, flavorful and prepared with care. Great spot to take a meeting, a call, get some emails written or just enjoy the vibe. Service is a little on the slow side, but that's because they really take your time with food. So not necessarily a bad thing. Depends on how you look at life.
I got to say five star service and hospitality. Also the bright and high ceiling atmosphere really makes you enjoy the space and helps you focus on what you might need to get done if you want to work here. The food was good at a great price point for breakfast, and I also found that the variety of selection and chocolates on the side were tempting. Come here for the atmosphere and the service and you won't regret it.
Amazing brunch and coffee place right in the middle of the business buildings! The restaurant is so elegantly decorated, giving an experience yet inviting vibe. We came here for a breakfast meeting. The service was great. The hummus and avocado toast was delicious. The americano coffee was great too. If you purchase over $10, they will validate the parking! It's a great place to meet when you have business meetings that are slightly more casual.
Excellent croissant breakfast sandwich. My husband enjoyed his creamy scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. All items were quality and fresh. Definitely repeatable.
What a nice cafe! Excellent service, so friendly. I got a cold brew to go with cream and they served it to me in a little container so I could do it myself to get the lightness level I wanted. And the sandwich is basically a cheese omelette on a croissant with bacon and it was SO good. The melty cheese was on point!

Such a good find! Inside the KPMG building and they will validate your parking with a purchase of $10 or more. The food was so good! You order at the counter and there was plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating during the weekday. Such a cute vibe inside! I will definitely be coming back to try more on the menu! read more
Clean and modern little deli that feels a bit nicer than your typical deli. Slightly higher prices but that's what you get for convenience. Located in the Axos tower off La Jolla village drive on the 1st floor. Seating both inside and outside. Outside seating is very nice with 2 different ponds to relax at. Light music playing as well. The deli/restaurant has a BIG meeting room that I saw a company meeting in and then the deli had a server cater them- nice touch with so many local businesses. I had the cowboy chicken or something along those lines. It would have been excellent but I came at 2:15 and they closed at 3 and I could definitely tell the chicken had been sitting ALL DAY. It was SO DRY and hard- such a bummer bc the flavor would have been great. For $22 with a peligrino I was a bit let down. I'll likely give it another try but just not so late and close to closing time . read more

Brunch @ 10 am. Clean, & calm atmosphere . Had a customized Parmesan omelette, sausage , bacon and avocado added. Rated 4/5 bacon was hard to cut or bite. Hard like a rock. Overall tasty breakfast minus bacon. Service; Excellent customer service. Barista super sweet remade my iced latte. Originally ordered rose water latte; dissatisfied requested a remake and barista was happy to remake. Unsure what latte he made but it was tasty! Great experience! read more

When I entered this restaurant, I was greeted by some cool 60s music. Then, I received a nice warm greeting by the young man at the front counter. I enjoyed a deliciously plump breakfast croissant with bacon, egg and cheese! What a beautifully relaxing atmosphere! I gotta come back again! read more

Dined here around 2 pm for a very late breakfast on a Friday and the place was pretty empty. Only 1-2 tables were occupied. Food 5/5 Ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a cheese Danish. The burrito was perfect to share for two, filling, and flavorful! They brought a side of sour cream, pico de gallo, and salsa as well which complemented the burrito even more. The cheese danish they brought had a dead fly on it and they brought us another one which was delicious. Drink 2.5/5 Ordered mexicano mocha and matcha latte. Both iced with regular milk. They were both watered down. The matcha was very weak in flavor and didn't taste like true authentic Japanese matcha. The mocha tasted like a watery dark chocolate drink. After sharing my concerns, they offered to remake the drink with more chocolate this time and she made it a smaller size. The drink was SO sweet that I only took a few sips and had to toss it out. Ambiance & parking 5/5 The place is aesthetically pleasing and quiet so it's perfect if you wanna get some work done. They also validate the parking which was nice. Price 4/5 Overall prices are fair. Paid about $26 for a pastry item, breakfast item, and 2 lattes. Service 5/5 Everyone was polite, attentive, and friendly. Really appreciate them offering to remake the drink even if it wasn't to my liking. Overall I'm glad we had a chance to try it but wouldn't probably come back because there are sooo many other breakfast/brunch places in SD. read more

On first impression, this place was light, open, and just plain beautiful. It really speaks to San Diego life. Wish NoCal looked like this. We ordered the Avocado Toast, one with egg white on top and the other with Smoked Salmon. My mom enjoyed hers very much. I also enjoyed mine very much. Very filling. I probably would sprinkle some Tajin on top to add some extra spice. Because I'm following the Glucose Goddess hacks, I also purchased the Turmeric & Couscous salad. For something with very little dressing, it was good and I think Jessy would be proud...LOL. Overall, if I'm in the area again, I'd come back and try another item. read more

Great spot for early coffee and light breakfast. It was really cold but sunny morning which made us crave hot drinks. This place popped on Yelp as opened so we decided to give it a go. We arrived just after the doors were opened for business. The café shop is very swanky and well decorated. It made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Christmas music help to create perfect ambiance. There are many coffee options to choose from. We ordered coffee latte and caffe mocha. Bothe were served in big cups and tasted good. We couldn't resist to order light breakfast too. I had avocado toast with egg withes, tomato and spinach. The toast was nicely presented on the plate and was prepared with fresh ingredients. It had quite a bit of crashed pepper but i didn't mind it. Our second order was grilled chicken brioche sandwich. It was also nicely presented on the plate but the chicken was a tad on a dry side. Overall it was good experience and I would recommend this cafe! read more
A nice little café that's connected to a chocolate and coffee place located in what seems to be an artsy district of San Diego. The food was tasty and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered the special that was available that day. Which was coconut chicken and waffles. The chicken had a nice crisp and it reminded me of that coconut shrimp appetizer you get at a lot of Asian fusion places. Even the maple syrup had a little bit of spice in it which reminds me of the dip that comes with that appetizer (sweet and spicy). The waffles were solid and the fruit was fresh. It was tasty and was a fan. I ordered a double espresso Vietnamese coffee which is basically a double espresso with condensed milk most likely. A group of friends and I attended an event at Liberty Station the night before. When we woke up we were looking for a place for breakfast to take a small group of people took reservations because we didn't want to wait over an hour. This place was close to our hotel and it was really easy to find parking. For what we wanted this place was super convenient and we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely would come back read more

My sister and her family came to town so we went for a morning walk. We had intentions to be hungry when we got to Liberty Station but we were starving! Luckily Banyan Kitchen & Cafe hit the spot. We ordered our meals at the chocolate counter which led to us getting some pieces of chocolate to nibble on before our food. Mine had basil in it and it was oddly delicious. My sister and I ordered coffee and tea which was presented well and tasted delicious. The food was great, no complaints. I struggled because I probably ordered too much but I ate every last bit. The eggs on top of my avocado toast were light, fluffy and well cooked. I snuck some smoked salmon on a few bites of my toast and it was yummy!! The breakfast potatoes were delicately flavored and cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed sharing them. My nephew didn't like the actual maple syrup (yum) that came with the waffles so they actually tried to find some of the crappy fake stuff and brought us some dipping chocolate instead. Needless to say we took care of the waffles. We sat inside on some couches with a low table because that was all that was available when we arrived. The staff was attentive and helped us move to a proper table once one was available. I will definitely be back to enjoy this establishment. Let's just say I am very glad we had to walk home after stuffing ourselves. read more
Had lunch here today and the food was excellent! The team is here from Liberty Station and the service is exceptional as always! Lucky La Jolla has them now in their new chic lobby restaurant location. I had avocado toast on Bread and Cie grain loaf with lox and it was delicious. My husband had a chicken Caesar salad and french fries which he enjoyed so much and would order again. They make perfect espresso drinks and their house-made chocolates are to die for!! read more

AMAZING! Great prices for the portion size and quality! Very quiet place would be great to study! TONS of seating both indoors and outdoor. Parking garage has plenty of space and they validate! All the workers were super kind and helpful! Definitely will be back! read more
