What a beautiful store! Full of excellent pieces of wood made into unique art forms. The David Alan Collection is a furniture and accessories gallery dedicated to creating and building beautiful, modern, heirloom-quality furniture and acquiring one-of-a kind antiques and artifacts. Their aesthetic style and diverse collections includes one-of-a kind, single piece slab tables, as well as contemporary furniture made from reclaimed wood, exotic hardwoods, and other rare materials. The store also features collections of primitive art, village folk art, Japanese antiques, and rustic furniture. As we browsed around the two gentlemen behind the counter greeted us with a nice warm smile. The store had a nice selection of furniture, jewelry, clothing and house accent pieces at various price points. A great place to stop in Solana Beach for a unique gift piece.

The t-shirts are incredible. The wood, out of the WORLD! The staff is so nice. I had to go back a second day because the energy in this store is magnificent.

I really love strolling around in the David Alan Collection. Lots of beautiful wooden pieces. I love their kitchen section. A lot of well crafted kitchen wares such as teak root plates, spoons, tongs, and bowels. Even though a little overpriced. Since my hometown has similar wooden pieces that are much cheaper. I especially love the wooden buddha statue. The sunlight shined right on the Buddha while I was there. So peaceful!

The folks at David Alan have an amazing collection of beautiful wood, amongst other things! Not only did they go above and beyond to make a bar and mantle for our home, but the quality and craftsmanship were outstanding, the people were very friendly as well as helpful!

All silk, "baby pink" women's kimono from David Alan's latest shipments from Japan! He has a ton, I mean a ton of men's kimonos.

Well, this is a fabulous shop with lots of surprises. First, let me say they just got in a whole container full of Japanese kimono fresh off the boat from Japan. I also just got a lot of Japanese dishes, perfect for sushi. What I did not know is that they have an upstairs and a downstairs below the ground floor level which has so many things to delight any visitor. I first started coming here because they have this amazing incense from India, which is the most exquisite incense I have ever, ever encountered. Ammaji "the hugging saint" has a wonderful sandalwood, but so does, David Alan in Solana Beach. Redwood, burl furniture, Japanese pottery, kimonos, and so much more is worth your visit to Solana Beach.

If you are looking for all things big and small, or all things bright and beautiful, this is the store for you. What a joy! Take your time in moving through this space as there is much to see. From large pieces of furniture hewn from exotic wood, to small accent pieces and jewelry, this location is brimming with discriminating options. Also of note is the support of the artisans who create this beauty . See below picture of craftsmen and artists from Bali who are featured . You will certainly enjoy this special Cedros Street experience!

A must location to check out when you're shopping at Cedros Avenue. It does like walking through a museum with Thai and Indonesia artifacts. They have great woods pieces that you can make a table out of. Albeit an expensive table. The staff there are very friendly and helpful. I just love this place.

David Alan collection shop. variety of artisan jewelry, wood furniture, clothes, art, dishware...check them out. Various price points.

David Alan is a real person that is a global explorer. He travels the world and brings back treasures to his beautiful modern designed shop in Solano Beach CA. Just some of the gems include: Artisan Balinese semi precious stone jewelry. Malaysian acacia wood slabs that can be custom crafted into table tops, coffee tables, wall art, whatever. The wood comes from naturally felled trees, not harvested. American redwood. Teak. Clay pottery and dish ware ($7+) from Shigaraki Japan. Costume beaded jewelry from India, price point from $8+. 100% proceeds from those go to the Alpha Montessori school in Delhi, India...awesome. Beautiful Balinese sarongs $25+. Wall paintings. Wood furniture. & so much more. Price points vary and are not all "Gucci" priced. The peeps that work here are friendly enough. They don't bite. Come on in and check this place out.

Stunningly beautiful and unique pieces from Thailand and Indonesia (Bali). The mantels, coffee tables, and dining tables are to die for! You want furniture nobody else has?-- this is your place. Spoke to the owner, who was very kind and patient in describing where his gorgeous pieces come from. Don't forget that there are three floors to this store. I've never seen such a huge collection of furniture from Thailand and Indonesia under one roof. Browse this store and I promise you you'll be deciding what you want to add to your home...

Love this place, it's like a museum dedicated to Bali and Indonesia but you can buy anything in the showroom.
