They need to improve on EVERYTHING! We came to celebrate New Years & everything was closed! We had made dinner reservations online & they're like no you didn't & I said I have the email proof! So they said I'm so sorry the restaurant is closed for the new years, but we can make other reservations at another restaurant. They did the restaurant was a 10 minute drive away from the resort. It was raining all night so there was a leak through the door and part of the inside doorway and bathroom got wet. Then we went to get breakfast at huevo republic and that was another 45 minute wait for a table then another 15 minutes to get our drink order & another 10 minute wait to get our food order. Then noticed a couple that got seated 30 minutes after us got their food before us!! But I'll leave that review for huevo republic. Just stay away from Maglén resort! They also said thy had emailed us about places being closed on the resort for new years which they didn't! Because I checked the emails and never did it say restaurants, bars, spa or anything would be closed for new years.

Honestly, such a quaint location but one of the most aesthetically pleasing places I stayed during my trip! I booked my first trip to Valle for my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. The service and staff were very hospitable and friendly. They even took great pictures of our party during breakfast which was very nice. The rooms were a great size and clean. I wish I would've had taken a picture of the nearby porch swings in between the trees which were so relaxing. The food at the restaurant was delicious and gourmet but authentic to traditional flavor! Definitely recommend a stay here!

There's a fairly new winery in by the Guadalupe. I heard that they had invested quite a bit of money in the buildup of many different small resorts and spas around the area and they also had a wine tasting location that was beautiful. I have to tell you the design is beautiful and eclectic and fun and classy. The first one that I'm trying is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc. It is buttery get crisp at the same time with vanilla tones and a little green apple. It is quite lovely. The Ensamble is a red wine blend. Black cherry, red plum. A bit smoky. Tobacco. The Nebbiolo/Cab has reached its peak. It was not drinkable. The Mourvèdre Rose was super good. Smooth and light and fun. The 2018 Cab Sav is a bit bitter and a bit to tangy

The "illuminated" lovers walking path ... approx 8:50 PM.

This place is very picturesque and the esthetic is great for pictures. However, Nothing is what is advertised. To be frank, it was not the worst place I've stayed at but definitely not worth the price or the hype. I hate to leave negative reviews for small businesses but they claim to be the biggest resort in the Valley. So, here we go........ 1. Check-in is 3PM. We arrived at 2:53 pm and were informed the room was ready. But they will not release the room to you until 3 on the dot. They love to remind you of their "exclusivity" and have you wear a wristband throughout your stay. These were never checked at any point throughout our stay. 2. Due to point 1, there is a certain amount of gatekeeping from the employees. Not sure if maybe they're just rude or having a bad weekend , but I am pretty sure its the Culture of the Establishment. We were told rooms only slept 2 people. Then were provided a room with a Futon as a couch. 3. Huevo Republic Restaurant- they do give you a $130 peso credit towards breakfast. But the food is very lackluster and the service from our waitress left much to be desired. (i.e when forgetting to bring your order, would seem bothered when reminded) again, probably the culture of being told they are providing "luxury" 4. The rooms are very spacious, the AC pumps, but the beds are like sleeping on an airport bench and their sheets are way too small for the already small "queen bed" . Nothing screams "exclusivity and luxury" like Ikea placemats on the wall, and a Futon as a love seat. The toilets don't flush properly causing one to open the toilet tank to flush almost every time. Shower Drain; does not. Unless you enjoy standing in a puddle of yours and who ever shower before you soup. 5. Winery-Wine was good- maybe they should stick to that . 6. Yumano Restaurant- we were very excited to try. We were a large party of 11 celebrating a birthday during a Holiday weekend. We went on their website and made a 8:45 pm reservation. With text and email confirmation we arrived at 8:40 only to be told they closed at 9 and would not be able to accommodate. Both times we walked by the restaurant it was empty. We were turned away by the head Chef who did apologize and provided ingredients to make quesadillas back by our room (we brought our own grill) . 7. Our tour guide gave very misleading information. Regarding the hours of operation of the facilities. Examples being the restaurant hours and the "famous lovers walk way" thats supposed to be illuminated at night. Which was not. Again, the place is nice on the eyes and has really good wine. But there are better and more economic places to stay in the valley. This was also the consensus amongst other guests we made small talk with at the "resort" and we all agreed on one thing. This place would be our Last Resort.

We stayed here for a friends wedding and was expecting a different experience. Cons: -First they do not let you check in early, even if it's an hour or 30 minutes. Check in is the exact time or after that time even though your room is ready. It's so weird to me bc if your room is already ready why not just let the guest go in early? -The hotel is spread out. I guess they have 3 main sections, the main where the front desk is located with the brewery and restaurant, then the middle section- just alone standing rooms, and the far up the hill to the right section where more rooms, the breakfast place, winery and coffee shop are located. We were put in section 3, and had to call front desk every time for a ride to the main area. It was weird. -We thought we got a good room, a king villa standard about $150/night, these are the room that share a wall and not standalone. The walls are paper thin. Like we heard every single word the guest next to us said. It was like they were staying in the same room as us! I do not recommend this room at all. -No TV in the rooms Pros: -Bed was pretty comfortable -Cleaning crew cleaned up every day, and they didn't take my wedding & engagement ring that I forgot in the room once -The restaurants, Cantera, Huevo Republic and the coffee shop were good and enjoyable -Free parking -Pool available (but was not heated in November, it was cold even the hot tub not working) -Outdoor weight lifting area -Rooms had a patio area, cool concept if standalone like the other rooms -Heater worked well Overall, it would have been cooler if we got a different room, a standalone room or a 2 bedroom suite and not share a paper thing wall...

This is all of management sitting and starring at us while we are still waiting for our food and constantly asking for updates.

If i could give 0 stars I would. We had a party of 12, we are still waiting for all our food, we are at 2hrs 40min. Water was brought out after 1hr, coffee was brought out after 1.25hrs. The party that came before us was all white females, and they came and went and they also had a party the same size Do not come here, your money wont be green if you are a person of color. Management was constantly mocking us from that table for constantly asking for service.

Whether you're looking for a quiet getaway, a romantic escape, or simply a place to unwind by the ocean, Punta Morro Resort is an excellent choice in Ensenada. It is nestled and tucked away in a private area along the shoreline, very quiet, quaint ideal for tranquility and ultimate relaxation, I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Our towels needed replacement as they were non-absorbent; 2. The beds have a thin comforter, but at night it gets cold and a heavy comforter would be better; 3. The service was perfect, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. There are two restaurants on site, one that is open for breakfast/lunch, and closes around 5pm and another that is open for dinner and opens around 5-6pm. The dinner restaurant on site Aledano, is newer and the Chef is incredible, he came to speak with us and make recommendations and when I told him I was vegetarian he prepared the Orzo dish without meat and honestly, it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. There is also a beautiful winery on site with wonderful wine. Everything about this hotel is perfect. I would recommend it more for couples given how romantic is can be but would be great alone or with friends as well! I cannot wait to go back and visit!

The good: They offer most things a hotel/resort would, excellent dining, scenic views, valet transport, clean spaces. The bad: The terrain to drive and walk on is rough. To go to the pool/restaurant you will have a short walk through a dirt path which is not terrible but can be freezing in the evening. The only comfortable furniture in the loft will be the bed, otherwise everything else will be industrial wood and cast iron furniture. The shuttle drivers are the only reason they are not getting less of a rating. They were polite, helpful and timely. The front office staff, though nice, were not willing to help with much else. Overall, This is a stunning location for a short stay. Loved soaking in the sunset sitting next to a fire with a glass of cabernet. For the price, I truly believe it could be better! A full length mirror, comfortable seating in the rooms (the poolside furniture is great), better barking set up because its an unpaved rough ascent to the parking area. On my next trip to Valle, I would look for something with more of a homey/hotel feel as Encuentro is more of an experience.

This place is very popular, people are always coming and going. My room was actually quite large with a nice balcony facing the ocean. I had the fortune of occupying a newly renovated room. My only complaint is the amount of noise that makes its way into the room from the exterior hallway. As soon as you enter on my left by the doorway was the bedroom which had a wall and windows facing the hallway. I guess, I was fortunate because most of my neighbors were quiet and respectful. The hotel can easily solve this problem by utilizing more sound absorbing materials. The hotel's restaurant has an outstanding breakfast buffet which was the most memorable experience of my stay. It's worth staying here just for the delicious breakfast. Would I stay here again? Most definitely, the hotel's proximity and food made all of the difference. We paid like 3 usd for a bag of ice. Up until check out; we were ready to come back. On the second morning of our trip the cleaning lady asked me if I needed room service. I said no thank you but did ask for more towels. She asked me for the dirty ones in order to give me more. She literally gave me the amount and sizes of towels I gave her. I get it, no problem but I did note it. I gave her one facial wash cloth and two bath towels. So at check out the day later, the man at reception tells us that there's a note on our paperwork to charge us for one facial towel and a bath towel. I enquired why we would be charged and he said maybe because they're stained. I said yes, I know the facial towel was stained because since it's a facial wash cloth I used it to wash my face! So he concured that the stains were the makeup on the facial wash cloth. At this point I'm pissed because it is not in the rules that you'll be charged if you stain towels with makeup. Also what hotel charges for make up stains? It's a wash cloth. People use wash cloths to wash themselves. I'm not even sure if the large towel had any stains but the facial wash cloth did have a bit that is washable. So he charged us 15 usd for both towels which we wouldn't even get to take home. Spend your cash elsewhere. There are nicer hotels in Valle de Guadalupe that will not charge you for using amenities included in the room.
