The nice woman was able to move my hot reservation up a day since I got rained out camping on the top of Mt Tam! After a long cold sore day, she gave me the moon tub, and it was so nice, awesome in the light rain, birds singing up in the trees, right as day turned to night. i had a really beautiful and relaxing experience and will definitely be going back. Thank you so much to them for being so accommodating, was the perfect way to end the day!

My partner and I came to Almonte Spa for our anniversary and overall had an amazing and memorable time. It was his first spa experience so I wanted something a little more accessible than the typical, glitzy, feminine energy / target audience...? that you might find at most spas. Almonte definitely offers a more natural, quiet and cozy feeling. Overall we loved our experience. There were tiny hiccups and tips for first timers but we would absolutely come back! The great - *Lovely environment - feels like you're entering a peaceful cabin. *The outdoor hotub was amazing, especially on a chilly post rain day. Totally private and romantic under a beautiful redwood. *Once we were situated, everything was very easy to get to - we ran around in towels most of the time but it didn't seem out of place - we saw at least one other couple doing the same. *Highly recommend a hot tub, massage, sauna package. It made for a totally relaxing experience. Room for improvement - *When we checked in initially they didn't mention our massage which gave me a mini heart attack as that was our main draw, but that was thankfully just a quick check in vs. booking error. *We weren't charged for the wrap offered to us, but when booking rental fees were mentioned so just to be safe, bring your own towels. Also bring flip flops! We didn't see it mentioned on the site but you'll definitely want them when you're coming in and out of hot tub / sauna / showers. Would be nice if this was offered complimentary. *The couples massage room is located across from a school field so we were a bit distracted by sports sounds for a portion of our massage. Closing the window helped but if you're sensitive to noise take note. *I've seen others mention it, but a 5 minute grace period between experiences would add a little more breathing space. I didn't feel super rushed but I always had a sense of time while moving from hot tub to massage to sauna. Almonte was a lovely couple's experience and I'm so glad my partner and I chose to celebrate our anniversary here. For a first time spa experience my partner had an amazing time and is now hooked on treating himself to the good life hehe - so just be warned, Almonte is a gateway to spas and pampering!

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Almonte Spa. From start to finish, everything felt calm, grounding, and so intentional. Jane and Asha were outstanding truly skilled, intuitive, and so attentive to pressure points. I've been feeling really tense lately and this massage genuinely helped me release so much built-up stress. I walked out feeling lighter, relaxed, and completely zen. I also loved the atmosphere the crystals throughout the space added such a beautiful, grounding energy that made the whole experience feel even more special. The hot tub beforehand was the perfect way to unwind and set the tone for the massage as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for deep relaxation, healing energy, and top-tier bodywork. Can't wait to come back!

Need I say more than a hot tub under the open sky? Ambiance is gorgeous, spa was clean, front desk was friendly enough. Only complaint was the brightness in the hot tub. It would be nice to have a way to turn off the light so it's not so in your face at night time.

Came here for some relaxation time in their outdoor hot tubs and infrared sauna. Absolutely loved the Moon hot tub, with a wonderful view looking up at the sky, a tall magnificent tree with the trunk wrapped in beautiful vines, and greenery all around, just a lovely setting. The infrared sauna was about the size of a clothes store dressing room, with a curtain entrance to the space, the enclosed wooden sauna filled with a reddish hue and a temperature control panel on the side (this space ideal for 1-2 people to sit, but not large enough for lying down). Soft melody in the background, but also the sounds of chatter and movement in the building could be heard. There are 2-3 showers available. But no hair dryers allowed cuz the massage rooms are all in the same building and the space is not large enough nor strategically arranged to separate the noise (that's a little inconvenient, cuz of course people will wanna take showers after baking like a chicken and sweating their asses off in the sauna, and yeah we probably wanna go out with clean, dry hair after our day at the spa). Still, it's a nice place with decent service nonetheless.

My partner and I were in need of a relaxing weekend, and I happened to stumble upon this spa. Reviews were promising, and it wasn't too pricey, so I decided to book us for an hour hot tub soak. Booking was very easy, I did it through their website, and it was hassle free. We arrived 10 minutes early to our appointment, and we were immediately brought in. The staff kindly showed us where everything was and how to operate the tub. The spa and tubs areas were super clean and well kept. There are shower areas outside and spently of space for you to put your items down in the tub room. Make sure to bring some slippers and a towel. They provide shampoo, conditioners, and body wash. Overall experience was super relaxing and tranquil. We definelty felt way rejuvenated after the soak and will be back. Some areas that can be improved/what I wished - the doors to the hot tubs don't lock from the inside, so there is a chance that anyone can just walk onto the room. I also wish they implemented private showers in the hot tub rooms. This would be a nice addition to elevating the overall experience.

Absolutely loved my experience, enjoyed the hot tub in the rain during a storm, completely relaxing

What a hidden gem at such an affordable price! We reserved a hot tub for 30 minutes for $30/per person. It's situated in a small house along the side of the road. It's an older spa but the hot tub is worth it alone. There are two tubs - the moon and the sun. We got the sun but would request the moon the next time. Bring your own towels so you don't have to rent theirs. No frills, all soaks!

Was super excited for Almonte Spa as I've had it bookmarked for months. They have an outdoor hot tub, what's more to love? Sadly, I was slightly underwhelmed. I got the 30 minute hot tub + 75 minute massage. First, I'll say that the hot tub (soak) was great. It's almost like you're in the middle of the woods being outdoors. The water could've been a little hotter but overall good experience. The massage was another story. I've gotten many massages before, deep tissue, Swedish, Thai. So I'm pretty familiar with the generally how the massage is gonna go. The massage I got at Almonte was different to say the least. It was actually quite awkward. For example, the masseuse held my legs up and just stood there for 30 seconds. He pinched me a few times as he was rubbing my arms. He did some weird move with my feet that I've never had done before and overall I was not relaxed at all. I'm not sure if maybe it was an off day but I've never felt so tense after a massage. In fact I feel like I need an actual one now to redeem myself. Spa itself is quite pricy. $205 for a 75 minute massage + 30 min soak. Their lockers don't even really work and you'd expect the inside to look a bit nicer for the price they're charging. Overall, I'd come back for the hot tub but would skip the massage.

Came here with a group of friends - booked the day of and had a great 45 min soak with my friends! Love the outdoor spa and it was really a relaxing and smooth experience from coming in to getting into the outdoor space. It's super private and it's a great time with good friends. The water is warm and the jets are comfortable.

If you force people to sign up for a monthly membership on an app at least give them the ability to cancel the next month on the app. Fixing people to call someone is a shady practice (hoping people forget so you can get extra payments). It was very expensive for the monthly offerings (originally 250+) and we were told that the upstairs communal space (very dark, too) was not meant to be worked on more than 1-2 hours a day. Seems like a big waste of space. I ended up taking some yoga classes through class pass. Jeremy's classes were amazing, all others were sub par. The ladies at the reception barely greeted me each time I came in. Then The Portal abruptly canceled use of class pass and now offer a 180 monthly yoga option for a pack of classes. The yoga space is small and holds about 15-20 people max. If you want to use their wellness services you cannot pay a la cart to do something any longer, and have to apply join for $450 a month (!!!) to have access these amenities. The 2 cold plunges and saunas are single use and not communal. Really bad design choice. The concept was a great one, but reality of the space and the functionality is not - the price does not make any sense. This is more than you'd pay for a very very high end gym. Why not offer any communal wellness spaces besides the tiny yoga space? The place has almost a cult-y vibe to it, and is astronomically priced for the size. The vibe does not feel inclusionary at all. Huge bummer all around.
