I called to make an appointment to schedule and receive an immediate hydrotherapy colon cleanse within the next 2--3 days. When I called this clinic CleanseMarin, no one answered the phone an I got the voicemail from the clinic. I left a message stating I needed to make a hydrotherapy colon cleanse ASAP. The owner called me back within three to four days after I left my initial voicemail message at the clinic within regular working hours. The owner was the one who called me back and left me a voicemail offering me a hydrotherapy colon cleanse, telling me she had full availability. I could even come in that day if I were able. She seemed to have full availability and listed days and multiple appointment slots where she could see me. However, I didn't need to speak with anyóne at Cleanse Marin, because I had already made an appointment that same Friday with after not having anyone pick up receiving and leaving a voicemail message it didnt matter, as I had already searched yelp for the same service I needed wich was the hydrotherapy colon cleanse and I found an all five-star reviewed clinic on Yelp that offered the hydrotherapy colon cleanse that I needed, and it is called Cleanse Within or Cleanse Within Colonics . I called the clinic after not getting a person's other phone at CleanseMarin. I called the five-star reviews with all Five-star reviews called Cleanse Within or Cleanse Within Colonics. The owner, Candice picked up the phone right away! If I recall correctly, it was a Friday when I called both clinics and it it was during normal business hours. When I called Cleanse Within/Cleanse Within Colonics the owner, Candice, immediately picked up my call and even showed me how to go on to her website and make an appointment easily. Candice even stayed on the phone with me while I made my appointment. She wanted to ensure I was able to book and that I had a card down for a deposit, as per the clinic policy a debit or credit card was needed as a backup in case I ditched my appointmentand to solidify my appointment. So, I entered that information into her booking system and I was able to ge in to receive the hydrotherapy colon cleanse the upcoming Monday for a 90 minute session. She also gave me instructions to ensure I was fully hydrated and that I didn't have any coffee before the session and that I did not eat prior tó the session. As well as what no to eat after my appointment. When making The appoinment Candice was extremrely professional and knowledgeable. The main point of my negative review for the business CleanseMarin, is because they lost out on having a lifelong loyal customer like me. Ok, so for possibly one of the most embarrassing services a guy could ask for, I have gone twice when I am in town, and it's not so bad, and the benefits are noticeable. What makes this place special is the overall atmosphere and the owner Grace. Her namesake is true, in what could be an experience of blushed cheeks and secretive communication, you feel welcome, safe, and private. Once in the rooms, you are left alone (supervision upon request), and the ambiance is Spa-Like. I strongly recommend CleanseMarin if your need a bit of cleaning out down there. CleanseMarin is wonderful. They use the LIBBE system which is the absolute best for colon hydrotherapy. Lauren and Amy are incredibly knowledgeable and kind and make the experience very pleasant. I did a series: a regular colonic, one with a coffee enema, and one with a probiotic implant/chlorophyll. They explained the process every step of the way and felt very comfortable and taken care of! I have been doing colonics for ten years so I am familiar with the modality, and have worked with many offices over the years. With that, Cleanse Marin is amazing. Amazing! I love Grace. I only met her once and I already know, but to be fair, she also won me over with so many little things. Please Lauren (owner) please charge me in full for my missed appointment after being sick and thinking it was in the best interest of all to not show up at your facility. Please charge my card for my missed appt this morning, hell, go ahead and charge it twice for the booking error that other time.. No problem! I don't want to cause you any more pain or heartache because I had a stomach issue this morning and needed to not come in. Original review: I really enjoyed my first time at this facility. The woman who helped me was lovely and very helpful. I made another appt online but was confused by all of the buttons so I had made an appt on accident for the next day and then needed to cancel that bc I thought I booked for a day further out. I then made an appt yesterday morning for today at 9am and woke up feeling very ill. I called and no one answered and so I emailed letting them know I didn't think it was good for me to come in bc I wasn't feeling well and that I would like to reschedule. I didn't see the email had bounced back until 4 hours later. I immediately called when I saw that, and the owner answered. She was very aggressive on the phone with me. She asked if I was planning to actually come in if I were to reschedule my appt. I told her yes but given that I wasn't feeling well, I didn't think it was a good idea for me to have come in today. She was very rude and continued to be aggressive. I asked her if she was the owner and she said she was and I asked if she spoke to all of her clients this way. She became more aggressive and said "....women like you in California think you can be this way please don't ever come to my business ever again!" And proceeded to hang up on me. As a business owner myself, I would never speak to someone that way. I understand people have their bad days, but this was another level. Great facility and the staff who worked with me were very lovely, but the owner is aggressive and unkind. I'm clearly not allowed to go back in, but I'm not sure that I would want to support a business that is owned by someone who is that mean. This place saved my life. (seriously) A friend told me about it. I was resistant to go because having anything inserted ... eh hem... you know where... was horrifying to me. But I suffer from a chronic and acute gastrointestinal issue, and the daily load of toxins my liver has to deal with had gotten beyond my own body's ability. As a result, I was feeling sick and in pain every single day. Not to mention the extreme lethargy and brain fog. I was so pleased to find out that I could visit this location and use my package I purchased from San Francisco Colonics their sister location in San Francisco. I did the Life Food 5 day Liver Gallbladder flush and they recommended I do the infrared sauna before my colonic at Cleanse Marin for optimal benefits. I'd heard from my M.D. that CleanseMarin was where she personally went for colonic hydrotherapy. I was interested in a detoxification program, back in January 2009. It's 2 years later and I have been to CleanseMarin every month since then. There are two reasons: 1) the results and health benefits, and 2) Grace Janho, it's founder and Primary Colon Therapist. Update: I received a reply to my original post from Grace, the owner. She states that the lube packet was indeed opened by her as a convenience and wanted to further assure the cleanliness of the center by detailing the certification process, etc. required in order to be in business. She also wrote a respectful reminder that the rectum is not sterile & therefore the lube and associated equipment need not be either. While this is true, I'd still prefer to open my own lube packet and don't necessarily want to touch items that another customer may have touched while they're taking care of business with their colonic. The side table with multiple lube packets and other items just makes me a bit uncomfortable as anyone can reach over and touch the stuff at any time during the procedure & who knows what they may be touching prior to doing so. As I mentioned in my previous post, we all have different ideas about cleanliness and mine borders on (or maybe is fully in the camp of..) anal. Now, was that left from someone else (ewwwwww), or did she open it for me to use (so no longer sterile)? Either way, I was disturbed by the opened packet of surgilube on the table. Great to have it there but would be more reassuring if it was NOT opened. Obviously I didn't use it and instead reached around and opened a new one. Which then made me question the whole table of supplies in general - what items are touched by other clients (who may have differing ideas about sanitation) and therefore are potentially contaminated? How often are the containers holding the items cleaned? It's easy for my thoughts to just go on and on from there.... The advantage to an open system is that you control the "release" - you don't have to wait for the therapist to push a button allowing a release. This makes it much more comfortable and also makes it so you do your thing in private. You don't need a therapist in the room the whole time, so consequently there isn't one. For me this is much preferred. The gross factor is that everything goes into an "open" basin then down a drain (that has a bit of vacuum suction to help pull it down if I recall correctly..) so your business bits get splattered by the water and anything else thats going on down there. You're given a little hose like thing to rinse off down there towards the end, but what keeps that from having been splattered? And how deeply is the basin and little hose cleaned between clients? All-in-all it was a beneficial experience, but my questions on sanitation have kept me from going back. I came out feeling clean internally, but feeling like I needed a hard-core shower externally. I don't want to come out directly and say the place is not clean, as that would not necessarily be true. The issue is that I'm suspicious (which is my nature) about the cleanliness factor and so that makes me nervous. However I absolutely want the open system, so I'm either going to give it a try again at detox lounge with an even more critical eye towards cleanliness, or else look in the city for a place with an open system. « show less read more

Just had a great experience at Marin Cleanse from beginning to end. Right when you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and positive vibes. It felt more like a spa rather than a place to get a colonic. I first became aware of CleanseMarin through my Groupon. I had heard about cleansing for quite some time but didnt know where to go. After purchasing the special from Groupon, I scheduled an appointment and received a call from Grace. When I arrive, I was greeted by Grace and could tell from the get go, she was a wonderful lady and glad I made the appointment.
