For more than 10 years Lauren and staff have helped me with lots of issues. The most recent was long Covid, which can actually settle in the biofilm of your gut. Now you can see articles in Medical media about how difficult this can be. Lauren also taught me about not just using probiotics but also the right type of magnesium for gut health. I'm a professional trauma specialist and Craniosacral therapist and have referred lots of clients here. I've been a longtime customer of Lauren's colonic business even back when she had her little office in SF, so probably close to 15 years! (I'm embarrassed it took me this long to write a review!). Lauren is super knowledgeable & fun to chat with about health stuff, and her staff are just sweetest people ever! If I ever have a question about some digestive issue I'm dealing with, Lauren is happy to chat with me via text or in-person if she's available. The office is also super clean & aesthetically bright. I'm grateful for this business being here in my area. If you're seeking an open-system type of colonic experience, this is your place! Highly recommend! read more

I have been going to Cleanse Marin for over twenty years and am incredibly appreciative that I can go there to detox if coming down with something or just feeling off. Lauren is wonderful and always very knowledgeable about nutrition or anything to do with detoxing or health. The place is spotless and the staff is friendly and professional. The online booking system makes it easy to make an appointment. Many times I have picked up the phone last minute and Lauren has fit me in the same day. At 64 years old, I truly appreciate this service and feel it has helped keep me healthy and feeling good. Highly recommend! read more

Cleanse Marin is a detox palace. I just completed the New Client Package of 4 colonics, with infrared saunas and detox foot baths. It's located in Kentfield among the beautiful trees with easy parking. I personally love the sauna, they just upgraded to a new one with beautiful lights and a brand new shower. The staff is friendly and professional, and the schedule is flexible, I never have a problem booking the same day. I am a new mommy so the therapies have helped me detox and regulate my hormones, I lost a few pounds, and my skin is glowing. read more

This is a great place to reset. I like that they allow you privacy while having your svs.

I've been coming for more than a year now & I can honestly say that incorporating colonics & sauna into my routine has kept me healthier this last year. I called to make an appointment to schedule and receive an immediate hydrotherapy colon cleanse within the next 2--3 days. When I called this clinic CleanseMarin, no one answered the phone an I got the voicemail from the clinic. I left a message stating I needed to make a hydrotherapy colon cleanse ASAP. The owner called me back within three to four days after I left my initial voicemail message at the clinic within regular working hours. The owner was the one who called me back and left me a voicemail offering me a hydrotherapy colon cleanse, telling me she had full availability. I could even come in that day if I were able. She seemed to have full availability and listed days and multiple appointment slots where she could see me. However, I didn't need to speak with anyóne at Cleanse Marin, because I had already made an appointment that same Friday with after not having anyone pick up receiving and leaving a voicemail message it didnt matter, as I had already searched yelp for the same service I needed wich was the hydrotherapy colon cleanse and I found an all five-star reviewed clinic on Yelp that offered the hydrotherapy colon cleanse that I needed, and it is called Cleanse Within or Cleanse Within Colonics . I called the clinic after not getting a person's other phone at CleanseMarin. I called the five-star reviews with all Five-star reviews called Cleanse Within or Cleanse Within Colonics. The owner, Candice picked up the phone right away! If I recall correctly, it was a Friday when I called both clinics and it it was during normal business hours. When I called Cleanse Within/Cleanse Within Colonics the owner, Candice, immediately picked up my call and even showed me how to go on to her website and make an appointment easily. Candice even stayed on the phone with me while I made my appointment. She wanted to ensure I was able to book and that I had a card down for a deposit, as per the clinic policy a debit or credit card was needed as a backup in case I ditched my appointmentand to solidify my appointment. So, I entered that information into her booking system and I was able to ge in to receive the hydrotherapy colon cleanse the upcoming Monday for a 90 minute session. She also gave me instructions to ensure I was fully hydrated and that I didn't have any coffee before the session and that I did not eat prior tó the session. As well as what no to eat after my appointment. When making The appoinment Candice was extremrely professional and knowledgeable. The main point of my negative review for the business CleanseMarin, is because they lost out on having a lifelong loyal customer like me. Due to not answering the phone and for not capturing my phone number to call me right back before I called Candice at Cleanse Within or Cleanse Within Colonics and Candice got my current and future business and use of services her clinic provides such as Colonics, Infrared saunas, Yoni Steams and Foot Detox. CleanseMarin. Took so long to get back to that they called during my new patient appointment with Candice and left a voicemail message about their full availability and time to see me that day natter the time I was seeing Candice and had future availability to get me on their calendar ASAP. I had already made an appointment with Candice who is incredibly helpful, kind, smart and knowledgable. My time at Cleanse Within/Cleanse within colonics the voicemail CleansMarin sent me it was left while I Was driving to my first appointment with Candice at Cleanse Within /Cleanse Within Colonics. I was some what nervous about my first colonic ever, and Candice has a beautiful and clean; incredibly sterile office and the rooms for the other services she provided were stellar. I had a spiritual experience during my first colonic that Monday after noon! When I came back the following Monday for my follow-up colon cleanse, I had been on so many medications for the last two--to 12 years that had literally stolen my appetite my appetite I forgot what hunger was like, and after my second colonic, Candice restored my sensatin of hunger to me which is a Miracle! I also hear that CleanseMarin and other female competitors that are being called back and when they find out that someone has booked with Candice who would never talk down about her peers companies have had her clients told some odd things like "Oh, you are seeing Candice!?, Well,Good Luck" Candice is not that type of person. To talk badly about any9nelet aloneherpeers as she is a true professional! if you are losing business to her try figuring out why! read more

I have had several colonic treatments at Cleanse Marin in the last few months and they have all been great experiences! The first time I was given a lot of guidance on how to do the colonic effectively which was super helpful. The owner was incredibly knowledgable and super helpful and spoke to me at length after my treatment to really understand my health goals and took the time to share a lot of very useful and insightful information afterwards. I would definitely recommend for anyone considering a colonic! read more

Cleanse Marin has been my home away from home for the past 5 years. It's rare to find a one stop shop for detox, Biohacking, and nutrition. I've been to many colonic facilities in Southern and Northern CA and can say hands down Cleanse Marin is the only place where every detail is expertly handled from next level nutritional coaching, to the best supplements and hand made cleanses, to a belly warmer and cozy socks to ease the colonic journey. All this plus an array of top notch detox tools including a a brand new luxury sized low emf sauna. If you live near this location you have struck gold. read more

Lauren and Candy are great! Super smart and supportive with just the right amount of encouragement for those who might be slightly "insertion"-shy. Open colonic system so much better and effective than closed; also a bit more private as practitioner does not have to be in the same room as you. Highly recommended! read more

I've been working with Lauren for years in both her San Francisco and her Marin location. I love going to CleanseMarin, from the scenic road that lead to the clinic to the beautiful facility. Lauren is extremely professional and is always happy to share her knowledge of self-healing. I learned so much from her about my own healing journey. Her integrity is above all and she truly cares about healing others. I highly recommend CleanseMarin! I became very well educated by Lauren on how to cleanse and detox the body. I would highly recommend Cleanse Marin. I experienced the infrared sauna, ionic foot bath, and 3 colonics. Understanding how the body cleanses and detoxes has changed my life. My natural energy level is up, I'm sleeping way better throughout the night, and overall I feel healthier. read more

This is a delicate topic. CleanseMarin is a special place dedicated to cleaning out your "nether regions". That's right... water up your rear. Ok, so for possibly one of the most embarrassing services a guy could ask for, I have gone twice when I am in town, and it's not so bad, and the benefits are noticeable. What makes this place special is the overall atmosphere and the owner Grace. Her namesake is true, in what could be an experience of blushed cheeks and secretive communication, you feel welcome, safe, and private. Once in the rooms, you are left alone (supervision upon request), and the ambiance is Spa-Like. I strongly recommend CleanseMarin if your need a bit of cleaning out down there. That's what I get for all those Cheese Burgers. read more

CleanseMarin is wonderful. They use the LIBBE system which is the absolute best for colon hydrotherapy. Lauren and Amy are incredibly knowledgeable and kind and make the experience very pleasant. I did a series: a regular colonic, one with a coffee enema, and one with a probiotic implant/chlorophyll. They explained the process every step of the way and felt very comfortable and taken care of! I have had colonics at other places and this was the most gentle and comfortable. I felt amazing after all three, with more energy, less bloating, and clearer thinking. I am going to get a package and go back soon to try a colonic with food grade hydrogen peroxide! read more

I have been doing colonics for ten years so I am familiar with the modality, and have worked with many offices over the years. With that, Cleanse Marin is amazing. Amazing! I love Grace. I only met her once and I already know, but to be fair, she also won me over with so many little things. She is so welcoming, affectionate, kind and, Yelp friends, she put warm socks on my feet, and gave me a t-shirt to wear during the services, then discreetly offered support, but mostly privacy, which is non-negotaible for me. Her space is lovely, spa-like and she offers tea after the colonic. A must stop for those doing cleanses, or wanting to be proactive with health in general. read more

Outstanding service and the environment was very clean, relaxing and pleasant. The explanations prior to service were very helpful, so much so that I went the next week. I would highly recommend CleanseMarin for anyone looking for their type of service. read more

Updated review and why I change from 1 star to 5 stars. Read all the way through. Please Lauren (owner) please charge me in full for my missed appointment after being sick and thinking it was in the best interest of all to not show up at your facility. This was my second "no show" even though I tried to call and email, and the first was a booking error on my end. I hope you have a lovely day. Your response to my review rests my case. Please charge my card for my missed appt this morning, hell, go ahead and charge it twice for the booking error that other time.. No problem! I don't want to cause you any more pain or heartache because I had a stomach issue this morning and needed to not come in. Original review: I really enjoyed my first time at this facility. The woman who helped me was lovely and very helpful. I made another appt online but was confused by all of the buttons so I had made an appt on accident for the next day and then needed to cancel that bc I thought I booked for a day further out. I then made an appt yesterday morning for today at 9am and woke up feeling very ill. I called and no one answered and so I emailed letting them know I didn't think it was good for me to come in bc I wasn't feeling well and that I would like to reschedule. I didn't see the email had bounced back until 4 hours later. I immediately called when I saw that, and the owner answered. She was very aggressive on the phone with me. She asked if I was planning to actually come in if I were to reschedule my appt. I told her yes but given that I wasn't feeling well, I didn't think it was a good idea for me to have come in today. She was very rude and continued to be aggressive. I asked her if she was the owner and she said she was and I asked if she spoke to all of her clients this way. She became more aggressive and said "....women like you in California think you can be this way please don't ever come to my business ever again!" And proceeded to hang up on me. As a business owner myself, I would never speak to someone that way. I understand people have their bad days, but this was another level. Great facility and the staff who worked with me were very lovely, but the owner is aggressive and unkind. I'm clearly not allowed to go back in, but I'm not sure that I would want to support a business that is owned by someone who is that mean. Make your own educated choice, but make sure you don't cancel last minute when you're sick. read more

I'd heard from my M.D. that CleanseMarin was where she personally went for colonic hydrotherapy. I was interested in a detoxification program, back in January 2009. It's 2 years later and I have been to CleanseMarin every month since then. There are two reasons: 1) the results and health benefits, and 2) Grace Janho, it's founder and Primary Colon Therapist. At 55 years old, I wanted to do an internal cleansing, and I wanted to find a colonic hydrotherapy provider with the state-of-the-art open 'Libbe' system. I also wanted to be educated about my digestive health, about liver detoxification, and how to build my immune system. I soon learned that the LIVER is my most important partner in great health, and because Grace is an exceptional educator, I began to learn a lot about my digestive health and the role it plays in overall well-being. I admit to being nervous the first time but that dissolved in 5 minutes after meeting Grace Janho. The CleanseMarin environment is like a Spa and it is squeaky clean, and designed to provide maximum comfort throughout the experience (they even have iPad and iPhone chargers in each treatment room, and of course, free WiFi). The physical environment is in itself very healing. Check out their office virtual tour at http://www.cleansemarin.com and also a short animation of how a gravity-fed open Libbe system works, so you get the whole understanding of what to expect before you get there. In two year I have become healthier than I have ever been, and I attribute a huge amount of that to colon hydrotherapy at CleanseMarin and Grace's individual detoxification programs. She makes every thing easy and makes sure your detox goals fit with your lifestyle while you are doing them. Because of the deep hydration I receive during a colon therapy session, I now always get a colonic before I go on a trip, and when I return. I often get a colonic because I want the deep hydration, which in itself creates all kinds of benefits. I've lost weight, radically improved my skin, lowered my high cholestrol (who knew the LIVER was the best warrior against high cholestrol?), FINALLY flatened my stomach, and overall I am healthier than I have ever been. The misinformation about the health risks of colonic hydrotherapy is so outdated. CleanseMarin's clients are referred from many of the top Medical Doctors in Marin County and San Francisco. I wish I'd known about CleanseMarin a long time ago! read more

I am giving 2 stars because 1) I like the service and gracious team members BUT 2) they have a rigid inflexibility if you have to move your appointment in case of illness and 3) it's a very sterile environment vs other colonics providers where you are guided through the process read more

This place saved my life. (seriously) A friend told me about it. I was resistant to go because having anything inserted ... eh hem... you know where... was horrifying to me. But I suffer from a chronic and acute gastrointestinal issue, and the daily load of toxins my liver has to deal with had gotten beyond my own body's ability. As a result, I was feeling sick and in pain every single day. Not to mention the extreme lethargy and brain fog. But I followed the newcomer's protocol, and did multiple sessions in a short period of time (to release years of built up stuff stuck to my colon walls), and the quality of my life has DRAMATICALLY improved. I love the ambiance here. It's beautiful! The place is always SUPER clean. And the owner, Lauren, and her fabulous staff are welcoming, caring, empathetic, and they make the whole experience pleasant and nurturing. (right down to the pre-warmed fuzzy socks! lol) I'll be forever grateful to my friend who recommended that I come here, and I can't imagine my life without this place. I'm a regular! read more

Update: I received a reply to my original post from Grace, the owner. She states that the lube packet was indeed opened by her as a convenience and wanted to further assure the cleanliness of the center by detailing the certification process, etc. required in order to be in business. She also wrote a respectful reminder that the rectum is not sterile & therefore the lube and associated equipment need not be either. While this is true, I'd still prefer to open my own lube packet and don't necessarily want to touch items that another customer may have touched while they're taking care of business with their colonic. The side table with multiple lube packets and other items just makes me a bit uncomfortable as anyone can reach over and touch the stuff at any time during the procedure & who knows what they may be touching prior to doing so. As I mentioned in my previous post, we all have different ideas about cleanliness and mine borders on (or maybe is fully in the camp of..) anal. (no pun intended) -------------------- original post: Detox Lounge offers colonics using an open system. I've only been once, not quite a year ago, and have mixed feelings on how many stars to give. The therapist I had (who I believe is not the same one who is there now, as the picture looks different) was nice person and is quite matter of fact about the whole thing which reduces the embarrassment factor. Detox lounge was recommended by a couple of fellow mom's on Southern Marin Mothers Club list. The things holding me back from giving a higher read more » star rating are: There was an open container of surgilube on the table next to the chair. Now, was that left from someone else (ewwwwww), or did she open it for me to use (so no longer sterile)? Either way, I was disturbed by the opened packet of surgilube on the table. Great to have it there but would be more reassuring if it was NOT opened. Obviously I didn't use it and instead reached around and opened a new one. Which then made me question the whole table of supplies in general - what items are touched by other clients (who may have differing ideas about sanitation) and therefore are potentially contaminated? How often are the containers holding the items cleaned? It's easy for my thoughts to just go on and on from there.... The advantage to an open system is that you control the "release" - you don't have to wait for the therapist to push a button allowing a release. This makes it much more comfortable and also makes it so you do your thing in private. You don't need a therapist in the room the whole time, so consequently there isn't one. For me this is much preferred. The gross factor is that everything goes into an "open" basin then down a drain (that has a bit of vacuum suction to help pull it down if I recall correctly..) so your business bits get splattered by the water and anything else thats going on down there. You're given a little hose like thing to rinse off down there towards the end, but what keeps that from having been splattered? And how deeply is the basin and little hose cleaned between clients? All-in-all it was a beneficial experience, but my questions on sanitation have kept me from going back. I came out feeling clean internally, but feeling like I needed a hard-core shower externally. I don't want to come out directly and say the place is not clean, as that would not necessarily be true. The issue is that I'm suspicious (which is my nature) about the cleanliness factor and so that makes me nervous. However I absolutely want the open system, so I'm either going to give it a try again at detox lounge with an even more critical eye towards cleanliness, or else look in the city for a place with an open system. « show less read more

Cleanse Marin is a palace of self care! I was so pleased to find out that I could visit this location and use my package I purchased from San Francisco Colonics their sister location in San Francisco. I did the Life Food 5 day Liver Gallbladder flush and they recommended I do the infrared sauna before my colonic at Cleanse Marin for optimal benefits. Amy, Lauren, Joni, and Julianne are so genuine and helpful and it's a nice change of scenery to take the drive from San Francisco to this other beautiful location where there is always plenty of parking. The sauna is the best on the market and had become my favorite thing to do on a Sunday. :)) read more
