The rest of the place isn't much to see. There was one loud group of guys making noise/laughing loudly for a while down the steps from the lounges. Not sure if they were employees of the hotel or guests but it stopped after 10 minutes or so. With tight quarters you can't do much about that. The men's locker room was meh, clean, but small and kind of rank smelling like a local YMCA or something. Think that's due to it being so small and having a steam room, there's not great ventilation. Also thought it wasn't good that the urinals were so close to the sinks. Shower pressure not great. Parking is a bit tricky being downtown Sausalito. They give you a free parking pass if you go out and get it. Wish they'd email it to you ahead of time to be more convenient. Overall, it's ok and I may return under the right circumstances but I do prefer a more spacious type of spa with more amenities.

Unfortunately the matcha was out of stock, but I opted for another green tea and the crab cake. It was raining the day I was there so I didn't end up using the pool. However, when I met my therapist, he mentioned he would be doing a signature massage without discussing pressure preferences, even though I had noted on my intake form that I prefer firm pressure. Unfortunately, the massage itself felt neither particularly deep nor relaxing, and it did not meet my expectations. Upon arriving, I was initially confused about the entrance. I entered a building with a gift shop and "tea bar," thought I was in the wrong place, and had to ask for directions. I then learned the spa entrance was behind the wall in the gift shop, which wasn't apparent. I expected the tea bar to be a special space that you might find in a Japanese tea garden, but it was a bar with a mini fridge, something you might find at a gym, and it was in the gift shop! While the waiting area was bright and airy, the changing area--which included the infrared sauna and hot tub--felt more like a college locker room than a spa environment. The treatment floor itself also had a rather sterile, hospital-like feel that didn't create a relaxing atmosphere. It would be helpful if a pre-appointment email listed available amenities and noted that guests should bring a swimsuit to use the hot tub. I checked the website beforehand and did not see this information listed or any photographs. I would have enjoyed using the hot tub had I known, but I was told I could purchase a suit in the shop instead. Lastly, the one-size sandals provided were difficult to walk in and felt unsafe and risky on the stairs after the treatment. I also found it fairly shocking that they suggest 22% as the starting point for a gratuity. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience, ambiance, and level of service provided. I sent the manager feedback and was informed that the changing room space was going to be getting an update, but I feel additional updates are needed, including making reception a dedicated space or moving it inside the door, and moving the tea bar, and making it a unique, special space. Having the reception area and the tea bar crammed together with the gift shop does not work.

Mary sat with me, listened to my concerns and inquired about areas I felt needed the most focus. During the session, I was provided tea, a relaxing environment and Mary's presence was very calming. She was attentive, thorough, checked in with me, and gave me much needed overdue TLC - I was in heaven. I left with my skin feeling wet and my hair became incredibly oily from all the oil on my shoulders and neck. I want to feel moisturized after a massage but I was literally soaked in oil and I spent the rest of our anniversary with my hair looking practically wet from all of the oil. I went to a nearby cafe and used their sink to wash the oil out of my hair and it was still so oily. I've taken a shower now and I am still oily!! My phone is covered in it too. Lastly, I also got the jet lag eye treatment and it was just a small eye sheet mask for $15. Needless to say, we don't plan to come back. Very sad it didn't work out better.

Denali Building Improvements laid down the bamboo flooring for one of our large, new rooms. The job was tricky because the floor had to blend with the one in the adjacent room, which is a few inches higher. We didn't want a step because we worried that the kids would trip when walking from one room to the next. The guys did an incredible job, creating a gradual ramp between the two spaces and linking the flooring in the two rooms seamlessly. The floors look great and the difference is not even noticeable! We are grateful and will most definitely reach out with future projects!
