This was my first time at this location. I went to the Marina location several years ago and really enjoyed it. This spa was also lovely, very clean and zen with everything you need for the float and after, and the staff were friendly and provided good tips. I enjoy the solitude and I love effortlessly floating. However, my room lights never turned off all the way - they're supposed to be motion sensitive, but stayed lit the entire time. I would've mentioned it on my way out but didn't want to be late for my next appointment.* One tip for anyone with tinnitus like me: as you probably know, earplugs and absolute silence (both of which are necessary for this experience) will make the ringing deafening. Before getting in the pod, put your phone in airplane mode, place it on a stool near the pod, and turn on some pink noise. *Update 10 days later: One more star for responsiveness and an excellent float experience. Management realized a contractor had disabled the sensor in my float room and credited me for the float. Today everything went perfectly.

Had a wonderful experience at the Reboot Float Spa! Went for my first float, and it was a seamless experience. The front desk attendant walked us through expectations and process. The step by step instructions are also on the wall in each room. Each pod is in a room with an individual shower. The spa is equipped with products for after the experience. Overall, the space was clean and calming. Great experience alone or with friends.

Reboot Float and Cryo Spa is absolutely amazing! These pictures do not do the experience justice, but, I hope it will help. Reboot is a sanctuary for self-care that will bring you closer to optimal health. Let go of stress and leave recharged, refreshed and reborn. Reboot is a family-owned wellness spa serving the Bay Area since April 2015. We opened our first location at 1912 Lombard in the Marina with 4 float tanks. In January 2017, we opened our second location in the Rockridge district of Oakland and added cryotherapy and infrared sauna. In 2018, we opened our third location on Valencia Street in the Mission and added T-Shock and compression therapy. This is a MUST TRY experience!

Reboot Float & Cryo Spa is back open! I was injured in a car accident in late February, suffering a concussion, whiplash, and a hand injury. I have been consistently coming here for cryotherapy, infrared sauna sessions, compression boots, cold plunging, and floatation therapy. Disclaimer: this is not medical advice, but flotation has definitely helped in my concussion recovery. And both the cryotherapy and local cryo treatments have significantly helped with my whiplash and hand injury. As great as the physical benefits have been, what has been unexpected are the very tangible mental benefits I've experienced from the many services offered here. After a session here, whether it's a float, cryotherapy, a cold plunge, or a session in the infrared sauna- my sleep has felt deeper; I'm more well rested the next morning; my anxiety levels are lower; and my overall mood levels (and dare I say optimism) are higher than they were when I walked in. For these reasons, I would recommend giving Reboot Float & Cryo Spa a try even if you aren't experiencing physical discomfort or chronic pain. And if you are, see if this is something you might be interested in trying. If you come to the conclusion that it is, I know for a fact that you will not find a better place than Reboot. What makes Reboot so great and special can be found in the people who run this place. The general manager, Angelique, is exceptional at what she does. She makes sure everything runs smoothly and that the well-being of every single person who walks through the door is taken care of. The staff at Reboot, each and every one of them, is phenomenal. The work they do everyday makes a meaningful difference in people's lives. By they, I mean: Wendy, Nina, Iyalah, Baylea, Karla, Brianna (shout out to the Cryo T-Shock), Michaela, Christy, Alexis, Omarita, Mika, Pangaea, Romi and Angelique. Each of them deserves a mention for the incredible work they are doing/have done at the Mission location. It takes a lot of work to make a place like Reboot run as well as it does. Not only are there meticulous cleaning protocols in place to ensure that everything is clean and sanitized, but specialized knowledge is needed to make sure the nitrogen levels, ph balance, and many other scientific standards are met- all of it about which I know nothing. But it's all critically important to the experience of each and every client. And each member of the staff takes care of this. To everyone at Reboot, I am grateful!

Self care = self respect. I am looking forward to all the self respect that will take place at Reboot! My friend and I went in for a whole body cryo session, of which I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the three-minutes. The staff was helpful and communicative and the space was clean with just the right amount of sterile. As a person generally suffering from inflammation, this was especially beneficial, but I would encourage everyone to get this treatment at least once, it was quite the treat! They provide gloves, ski mask and slippers. You provide the undergarments and the music selection.

I found this on ClassPass. It is a brand new offering marked "New!" I had no idea what this was for. I signed up for "Compression Boots." It took 30 minutes. They put some black boot things on your legs and it puts pressure on your legs. You can press the buttons on the control yourself. They have some other services like "Flow" and "Cryotherapy." I'll try the other services. Danny helped me out today and he was nice. They opened this location in March. They have one in the Marina and one in East Bay. Danny said that the Warriors teammates use Reboot in East Bay. This is interesting on ClassPass. Danny said it's for marathon runners or other athletes. They have a sauna. It's fancy and Fancypants X. has used it as well!

My four stars are entirely for the overall experience of Reboot. Despite all the amazing effects benefits that were advertised, my personal floating experience was quite unremarkable. I didn't have caffeine and even turned off all the lights, but I still found it hard to get into a meditative state. What I liked: -Good experience (from check-in to after floating) -Clean facilities (showers, floating pods, vanity) -Relaxing ambiance -Not absurdly unaffordable -It's kind of fun being in a pod and floating around to lights and music What's iffy: -I struggled to fully immerse and meditate while in the pod, but that's all on me! -Better protection for getting salt water into the eyes. Happened a few times.

Although at times it was very crowded (I counted 18 people at one time, including me, while I was inside) I had a lovely time. The third outdoor shower to the right does not work, and I did notice hair/skin debris from heavy use of the cold plunge, more than I've seen at most places I've been to, but overall I had a positive experience. I think for the price the place could be kept in a better shape, and some of the experience leaves something to be desired, but it has valuable potential and is a good addition to the community. Environment & Ambience: Kabuki has a much wider space, calming music, great ambience, wonderful smells and decor. OnsenSF is a dining space when you enter and spa in the back. Everything looks modern and nice, relaxing environment despite being located in the tenderloin. 3. Hot Tub: Kabuki has a rectangle shaped hot tub as opposed to OnsenSF's square shaped tub. 4. Cold plunge: Kabuki has a cold plunge that's perfect for people who don't need it to be extremely freezing. OnsenSF has a cold shower with many heads in place of a cold plunge. Both are enjoyable experiences 5. Steam Room: Kabuki's steam room is also rectangular as opposed to OnsenSF's square room. Kabuki's steam room also has a shower to rinse off excess salt and sweat before entering the common area. 6. Showers: At Kabuki, there's also a line of stools for the seated handheld showers where you can fill a tub of water and pour it over yourself in addition to the traditional shower stalls, where OnsenSF only has the traditional showers if I recall correctly. 7. Sauna: The sauna was great because you could adjust the heat by moving up the wooden bleachers. There was also plenty of space to stretch out and lie down. There were wooden half-cylinder blocks to place under the neck and back to promote blood flow. My partner's favorite standout was the salt scrub they have that's free to take at the refreshments table. You use it to scrub away dead skin in the shower and steam room. My favorite was the bowl of towels buried in ice cubes that helped me keep a cool head in the hot tub and sauna room. I will say that the thing that makes OnsenSF stand out is their dining pop-ups, but there's plenty of dining options on Fillmore and in Japantown. I would definitely go back to Kabuki again. The experience was incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend.

I was instantly drawn to how intentional everything feels here, from the dark wood of the sauna to the sleek tile in the showers. It feels carefully crafted to be both modern and timeless, with the Japanese motif flowing through all of the design. Personally, I love the dim lighting in the baths; with no windows, it feels like time is suspended. Is it midday, or midnight? Sunny, stormy? Early, late? You can't really tell when you're there, and that feels like the point. It's an escape in its truest, most relaxing sense. Attendants are constant in the baths, which makes it feel far more luxurious than what the price would suggest. Cucumber, lemon, or plain water are all on tap, as are iced hand towels, salt scrubs for the steam room, and hot lemon ginger tea. I loved how cups are encouraged to be reused (I hate seeing the giant pile of single-use cups in the trash at other spas). I'm holding out hope, however, that traditional green tea may make an appearance in the future! I'd recommend attending on one of the single-gender days, as I found that lent itself best to the fully immersive experience. Shower sandals are available, though I found them a bit uncomfortable. Next time I'll be sure to bring my own. As a bathhouse enthusiast, I cannot recommend this place enough. I can't wait to bring my friends here to learn for themselves just how relaxing and rejuvenating the sauna, steam, soak, and plunge rotation can be.
