The price was very reasonable. We were very happy with the results. He even fixed our yard gate without us asking for it. We highly recommend Mike for his quality work and willingness to go above and beyond!

I also understand that reviews can affect someone's livelihood. However, I feel an obligation to share our experience in the hope that it helps other homeowners make informed decisions. We hired him for a relatively straightforward project that included removing an existing recessed ceiling light fixture, framing and drywall repair in the ceiling, spackling/mudding and finishing, painting the repaired area, and installing a new light fixture and dimmer switch. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not meet reasonable expectations. The drywall finishing and spackle work were uneven and visibly rough. More concerning, the paint began peeling from the repaired area almost immediately after it was applied. When we raised the issue, we were told that our existing paint was the problem. To rule that out, we purchased a new bucket of paint and repainted the area, but the same peeling occurred again. We are not experts, so we cannot say with certainty what caused the failure, but the problem persisted even after using fresh paint. As the project progressed, we became increasingly concerned about the quality of the workmanship and the potential for additional damage. One incident that particularly concerned us involved the installation of the new light fixture. Rather than use the mounting hardware that came with the new fixture, he attempted to fit it into mounting hardware that had been installed for a different fixture. This appeared to be a shortcut that avoided reinstalling the proper mounting bracket. In the process, significant force was used (including lots of hammering) to try to make the fixture fit, and the fixture ultimately broke. To his credit, he did provide a replacement fixture, but the incident further undermined our confidence in the quality of the workmanship and decision-making on the project. What makes this especially disappointing is that we chose him based on his stellar reviews and A+ Better Business Bureau rating. In hindsight, it would have been far better if he had been candid about the limits of his experience with this type of work. Everyone encounters projects that are outside their expertise, and there would have been no shame in saying so. In fact, even if he had recognized that midway through the project and stepped away, we would have been in a better position than we are now. I don't question his intentions, and I don't think he set out to do poor work. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend him for drywall repair, finishing, and related ceiling work. Homeowners considering similar projects should proceed with caution and carefully evaluate whether the scope of work aligns with his skill set.

Jake arrived to do an initial consult to determine what parts potentially needed to be ordered to…read morerepair my faucet. He set expectations well and said he couldn't be 100% certain, but he would start with the least invasive solution, order the part, and we could schedule the actual repair when the part arrived. He also let me know what I needed to do to prep for the future repair, which was helpful. I was contacted to schedule repair when the part arrived a few weeks later. Jake arrived promptly at the scheduled window, shut off my water supply for me, replaced the part, and set expectations that I could possibly see the issue again because without going more invasive, it's not entirely possible to determine the root cause, which made sense for a plumbing issue. He was clean, finished in less than an hour, and also sent pictures of the WIP while he was repairing. I appreciated the promptness, professionalism, and transparency.

You could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. A few small things got dinged up along the way, on the wall and an outdoor stair, but the team's been proactive about making it right, which counts for a lot in my book. Would recommend Jake for anyone needing furniture installation that requires some real muscle and precision. We'd call on him again for future fixes.
