My mother was not clean probably so I put her in the shower myself and cleaned her backside which was literally caked on. I felt very uncomfortable in that place no good vibes SO MY SISTERS AND I GOT HER OUT OF THERE. We went to Mother Love in Santa Rosa which is a real home, in the neighborhood, and Mother Love and her daughter fell in love with my MOM, When I first met them I said okay sisters this is the place, The vibes were so good in there, Suddenly my mother was herself again, Shining with the Holy Spirit, she hated Sunrise she felt scared there. If God isn't there then what was , She lit up when she stary with Mother love, Always protect your loved ones from darkness and soulless people when they are at that age. She died in Peace with Gods light. Cost of Sunrise with a caviler attitude rip off dont leave your loved ones there. Eight thousand dollars a month, Theres a place in hell for this place.

Disgusting! Sunrise Villa is NOTHING like that though! This is a fancy pants place! When you walk in you are blanketed by the amazing smells of the delicious food from the kitchen, and the dining room has chandeliers, cloth napkins, crystal glasses, and table service with huge menus for every meal! It's literally like a fancy restaurant for every meal for the residents! That cannot be beat! The entire place is immaculate, with no dirt or bad smells anywhere that we can detect, and that's a huge plus. Just the idea of assisted living usually conjures up negative things but Sunrise Villa creates a whole different experience, a wonderful one. My folks have only been there for one month, having come from a beautiful hilltop home on sonoma Mountain, and they are both already saying they are happy there. There are tons of amazing activities scheduled all day long, and their amazing two bedroom apartment gives them a living room, a bedroom, and an extra bedroom for my father's computer and office. On top of all that, Grace, who helped us through every step, is the most kind, loving, understanding, and patient person to help your family through this difficult time. She is amazing! Thank you Grace! Sunrise Villa is not cheap however, and you'll need plenty of money in order to stay there, but it's definitely worth it, and they have created an assisted living facility that takes the sting out of the painful family process that leads to the need for it. I recommend it highly, if you can afford it.

There was only one instance where a nurse was a bit rough- and the facility was quick to respond. They are working hard to turn this place around and it is MUCH better than it was- it's known as SOLANO POST ACUTE now. The roof is in process of full replacement; maintenance staff are very responsive; and the nurse to patient ratio is reasonable. The physical therapy room is well-equipped and the physical therapists are excellent; they work hard to help each patient achieve their goals. The rooms are a bit cramped with three people in each one, and I wish all three had access to natural light; one bathroom is shared between two rooms (up to six people). The food goes from really good to decent- but in the 9 days there we didn't find one meal where she couldn't find something to eat. With a little more work (e.g., the back entrance is not ADA-compliant; they need to install a better front entrance system with video and vestibule; some lighting needs to be fixed; parking area needs to be made safer with more lighting and reconfiguration), this facility will be one Vallejo can be proud of for those who need care before going home.

They neglected my mother - she got extreme bedsores that the staff didn't tell us about. She ended up being extremely dehydrated, malnourished, and with a case of pneumonia. She ended up bleeding, and the doctor sent her to the ER. She ended up in the ICU, where we were told she would just have months to live, because of what happened to her at this horrible place. The head of the ICU was shocked. My mother kept going downhill after that, with multiple infections, and passed away several months later. This place should be closed down.

It's an impressive community, and the residents we met were warm, happy, and very friendly. The rooms are exceptionally large, include small kitchens, and the entire facility feels clean, upgraded, and well-maintained, comparable to many of the more expensive communities I visited. Despite its lower cost, Cogir of North Bay still offers all the essential amenities and a pleasant, welcoming environment. It's also conveniently located near Sutter Medical Center, and online reviews are consistently positive. Overview The facility includes approximately 100 apartments: about one-quarter are independent living units, and the remaining three-quarters are assisted living. The rooms are spacious and include kitchenettes (much larger than those in most assisted livings). The staff appeared friendly and welcoming during our visit. Assisted Living Fees (as of November 2025) Studio Apartment: $3,095/month One-Bedroom Apartment: Starting at $3,295/month Community Fee: Equal to one month's rent (one-time fee) Medication Management: $625/month Shower Assistance: $300/month Escort Assistance: $625/month Dining Assistance: $750/month Two-Person Assistance: $1,125/month Diabetic Management: $750/month Enhanced Behavioral Support: $750/month Enhanced Nursing Support: $1,000/month Annual Rent Increase: 5%-6% Special Offer: First month's rent free Additional Notes: Basic rent includes transportation to appointments in Vallejo on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Toilet paper and tissues are not included in the rent fees. Residents can purchase those at their store if desired. The facility's food budget appears to be limited; for example, a vegetarian sandwich with avocado seemed to be a challenge. This is not surprising, though, considering the lower cost. They also didn't seem willing to accommodate the request, even when we offered to pay an extra monthly fee for the avocado (which was disappointing, as our family member currently likes to eat an avocado sandwich for lunch every day).

The manager at the time was a very friendly, helpful man whom I don't think is there anymore. The initial review does bring up legitimate concerns about housekeepers&dietary aides doing work outside their sphere of training. While I did witness that a few times, most of the time, they simply made sure my friend was clothed, fed, and had a clean environment. He was able to live as independently as he could, until his Alzheimer's was so debilitating he was moved to another facility in Arizona. Aegis is clean&appealing. They have a friendly, personable, attentive staff. While it has its shortcomings (all facilities do), the positives outweigh the negatives. The parking lot is kind of small, but one can park on side streets. Very pleasant.

I'm not really sure how to write a coherent review of Aegis to properly explain the excellent care…read morethat my In-laws received in the past year as residents, so I am just going to try & explain the timeline of the last month. In mid-January, my Mother-In-Law notices that my Father-In-Law is looking kind of run down. Although she wants him to go to the doctor for a check up, he stubbornly refuses. He finally agrees to make an appointment when Paul Oseso, the Aegis General manager, offers to personally drive him & my Mother-In-Law to the doctor's office. The GP takes one look at my Father-In-Law and tells him that he needs to go to the Emergency Room. Paul puts my Father-In-Law into a wheelchair and pushes him across the hospital parking lot to the ER. While waiting for treatment in the ER, my Father-In-Law has a heart attack. Paul waits for hours in the ER with my Mother-In-Law, while my Father-In-Law goes through surgery. The surgery is unsuccessful. The doctors tell our family that my Father-In-Law needs hospice care. The recommended hospice facility would separate my Father-In-Law from my healthy Mother-In-Law. This is a terrible solution to everyone. Luckily, Paul & the staff at Aegis are able to rearrange my in-law's apartment so he can receive hospice care in his own home with his wife at his side. My In-laws return to their Aegis apartment to discover a gorgeous flower arrangement & a card signed by the entire Aegis staff is waiting for them. Did I mention that I married into a gigantic Catholic family? At this point in this story, double digit numbers of family descend upon Aegis to spend time with my Father-In-Law during his final days. The Aegis staff not only check on my in-laws, but they also check in on the entire extended family. Constantly. They surprise us a wine & cheese plate when we can't make it out for dinner. They brew extra pots of coffee because they know none of us are sleeping well. They invite us to their Super Bowl party. THEY COME IN ON THEIR BREAKS & DAYS OFF just to visit. My Father-In-Law passed away on Saturday evening. My Mother-In-Law asked that we call Paul to tell him. The call interrupted Paul's dinner, at his home, on his day off. Paul immediately came over to sit with us while we waited for the hospice nurse to pronounce my Father-In-Law & for the funeral home to pick up his body. Paul Oseso has a background in hotel management & it shows up not just in how he presents himself, but how the entire staff behaves. They are, to a person, incredibly pleasant in that way that employees at 4 star hotels only display a sunny demeanor even when faced with the crabbiest guest. Up until the last month, I just chalked this behavior up to good training & professionalism. But, so much of the care my family received cannot be chalked up to people just doing their job. My Father-In-Law's last days were the best they could have been because the staff at Aegis went beyond the call of duty in so many ways, big & small. Right now, as I write this, the Aegis staff is helping my Mother-In-Law adjust to single life after over 60 years of marriage. This has been the worst month of her life. So, I am very grateful that she is surrounded by people who treat her not as an important client, or needy patient, but as a friend.

She is truly caring and loving yet professional as well. She is a skilled nurse so our family felt very confident regarding the physical well being of our mother. We felt blessed to find 7th Heaven as it is a warm, caring, loving place and as close to being at one's home as we could find. Olivia made sure mom had healthy, tasty food that she liked to eat and kept her clean and comfortable. She also makes sure the residents don't just stay in their rooms or beds but has them in the living room which is open to the kitchen so it is a very inviting environment. Well into her 90's, my mom was a bright, cheerful and intelligent woman. Her last couple years were characterized by the typical and in her case rapid diminishing of her ability to communicate and function as an adult. In spite of having no prior history with her, and my mom's increasing irrationality and at times downright stubbornness, Olivia cared for her like a loving daughter would her own mom, allowing us to see her progress to her recent departure with dignity and comfort. It gave us tremendous peace of mind to know that, unlike the facility we moved her out of to be at 7th Heaven, our mother got the best care anyone could hope for, both physically and emotionally. I and my siblings cannot recommend her highly enough, and thank God there are alternatives like 7th Heaven around (and they are not all alike!!)
