    Fried chicken eggs benedict
    Gabriella F.

Fried chicken eggs benedict... I think these were the best eggs benedict I've ever had. Although 0% traditional. The waffle was sweet and soft, a good portion of fried chicken, a bit too cooked but super crispy and tasty, the eggs and sauce were delicious. I'm just surprised how well everything went together. The service was fast, plates are huge. Like most breakfast restaurants the place was huge and VERY noisy.

Service is great. Floors need work or repair or washed. Food is good. Menu has many options. Seems coffee cups got smaller. The bad thing is everyone was cold and they need to turn the heating on it's winter. Seated far away from the door behind a wall and froze there too.

Having breakfast in montreal it's pure joy specially at Allo mon coco the one in des Grandes-Prairies blv at Saint-Leonard. Courtesy and costumer service are their name. We were a group of 6 on a sunday we thought it would have been long to wait, less than 30 minutes we had out table. We had mimosas, i took the good morning, eggs, bacon, mashed tasty potatoes, cinamon bun and a tones of fruits can i tell you that i was in heaven, on the side a little irish cream to dips the fruits. All the way from san antonio to mtl to have this breakfast. Restaurant is clean and welcoming.

Here's the thing about breakfast places. Either you're going for a unique and authentic dining experience or you're going for the resto-chain experience. When I go in, I'm fully expecting a franchised experience I so take everything with a grain of salt. I heard about their potatoes and being a potato fan that I am, I was interested in trying them out. Happily, when I had them the first and second time, I was quite satisfied with them. They're like refried mashed potatoes. There's that nice pan fried aroma and flavor that satisfies the junk foodie in me and the comfort of warm mashed potatoes. I even ordered just a plate of potatoes once! What I appreciate is that the waitress didn't look at me weird when I asked for just a plate of potatoes with a tea for breakfast. (I had a light breakfast at home and was just accompanying a friend by ordering a plate.) Are there lineups? Yes (I've never had to wait). Noisy? Yes (especially if there's a birthday person). Service a hit-or-miss? Yes (for me it's been ok). Pricey? Yes (I think I can do better for that price). But it's a convenient place to hit up in the area cause Saint-Leonard doesn't really have any good breakfast place in the vicinity so I won't complain. If you want, McD's is right across the parking lot! Another time, I ordered just a fresh fruit cup. It's quite filling! Also just a touch expensive. It was $7.95 but with tax and tip comes to about $10ish...so yeah, that's a little steep for a dozen grapes, 3 strawberries, 1 blackberry, half a banana, slice of honeydew, slice of cantaloup, half slice of grapefruit, slice of cactus pear, 2 quarter slices watermelon, slice of kiwi and one very sour slice of piney apple. Saturday and Sundays only offer the breakfast menu. Lunch menu only offered during weekdays.

Went there as a big group of 12 or so. Service was amazing considering how jam packed the place was. They were very accommodating for every request and food came out bang on. Menu has a wide variety of all the. Real fast greats as well as some nice lunch options. Prices are A little on the high side. Decor was nice and a great atmosphere.

My first time trying the sarrasin crêpe. This dish is called cochonnet.

We went in before the big line up Saturday around 11 am. The restaurant was already packed. The service is fine. Not too slow. The portion has diminished though (potatoes)... This is my 3rd visit, the potatoes were more salty than my last visit. I like this chain of brunch. I also go to the one at Marche Central and the one on Ste-Catherine Street. I like their menu, variety of pancakes and I love the table d'hote during weekdays. You will be full for sure with the table d'hote I often bring left overs.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

We went here during the week right when they opened so no line but based on other reviews, this place gets busy and does not take reservations so be aware. Service was great, space was open, light and welcoming and the food, my god the food!! Im a lover of all things fungi so when I saw mushroom toast on the menu, I couldn't consider anything else. The portions were huge and the mushroom toast was one of the best brunch meals I've had in a long time. A variety of mushrooms along with delicious whipped feta , this meal was the perfect way to kick off our visit to Montreal! They also have a lovely array of coffee drinks as well.

The chimichurri mayo , apple slaw, and super crispy chicken were utter perfection. Seriously, you have to try this place no matter the wait. Also had the ricotta pancakes - light airy and fluffy with an addicting brown butter syrup. The lemon cream was a perfect light compliment. Also one of the best pancake dishes I've ever had. Lastly the extras... chai tea latte, fresh OJ, and even the chocolate chip cookie (which has candied pecans inside!) were top notch. Not saying I would fly to Montreal just to eat here, but I would fly to Montreal just to eat here.
