I've been meaning to try this place out for some time now and finally got around to it when I opted for pizza delivery. My go to is normally Hawaiian or some sort of meat lovers; I ended up ordering Ally's Hawaiian. The difference is they add almonds, and while this would normally turn me off, I decided to give it a try. The pizza came an hour later (within the estimated time) and the large wasn't quite as big as expected. The pizza seemed to be more well done in some spots. The flavor was underwhelming and the crust was tougher than I care for. All in all I wasn't super disappointed, but I wasn't impressed either. read more

After seeing the great reviews for this place, we were excited to give it a try. We got the pizza rolls, cheese rolls, bbq chicken pizza, Hawaiian pizza, and pepperoni and sausage pizza. I was thoroughly disappointed with the crust, sauce, and the cheese. The crust was on the thick side with almost no rise. It wasn't crunchy or chewy but some doughy middle that completely disappointed. The cheese coagulated after 10 minutes and was very chewy and unpleasant, leading me to believe that it wasn't very good quality. I still have a majority of this pizza left in my fridge because no one wants to finish it. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes good pizza. read more

Best. Pizza. Ever. Being from Chicago I'm kind of a pizza snob. I was so shocked to find this little gem. It doesn't look like much but I promise you take the time to grab one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my entire life. Great portion size, great value, great quality. I finally tried Ally's Pizza, I have been driving past it for decades. Ally's is in a small poorly labeled building on the corner of a residential block so it is easy to pass by. They have an extremely small parking lot and a drive thru. We snagged one of the few places around to park and went in to order. The building seems to consist of a small doorway that leads down a small hallway to a small counter where you order. Beyond the counter is a room with a huge hot oven in the middle and workers around the perimeter of the oven working on pizza orders. I believe it was nearly 100 degrees in there (and it was a cool day) I felt bad for those having to work in that heat. Out of this small place came some tasty food. We ordered a large pizza, half pineapple and mushroom, half chicken and sausage. All the toppings were plentiful the mushrooms fresh, the chicken large chunks of white meat and the sausage very flavorful. The crust was just right, not too thin or thick with a good chew. All this was topped with a good amount of cheese. All and all a pretty good pizza at a reasonable price. I had read the Yelp reviews and it appeared obvious that I must try the cheese rolls, I am glad I did. I noted on the menu that 6 rolls cost $3.24 reasonable enough. What we got was a to go container stuffed with 6 huge doughy, garlicy, cheesy rolls of goodness. These were no skimpy rolls, they were huge and very tasty and extremely reasonably priced. I thank the reviewers who recommended them and I too recommend you rush over and get some NOW! It will not be another 30+ years before I make my second appearance at Ally's, if it weren't for all the leftovers I would have returned again this same weekend. read more

I had heard of this place through others so when we were in the area we gave it a try, I was expecting to be blown away but sadly it is just an average pizza place. The sauce was just ok and there was plenty of cheese on it but I didn't think either were outstanding. The crust was fairly thin which I like but I thought the flavor was not there on the crust either. I think part of this is I had huge expectations and left disappointed. I did like the amount of sauce on the pizza, sometimes places put too much on but they do it right here. I was not blown away by the garlic rolls either. My husband grew up in the area. This is by far his favorite pizza place in Utah. One time I told him I was wanting a 'really good' pizza and Ally's is what came to his mind. Right away. We live in Utah County so going to Ally's would mean driving at least 40mins to an hour. But of course I had to try it and we do love long drives so we decided to go to Ally's and grab some pizza and their garlic knots. True enough, this place is the bomb dot com. The place was established in 1990. It's a very small joint for pick up orders. When you talk about place having lots of history and character well this place exemplify that, no doubt. The staff is amazing, friendly and the owner is top notch. Will I ever see them branching out? I don't think so. You can tell that the owner is serving pizza not for money but it is his way of life, it is what he does because it his passion and he loves doing. Quality of pizza is W.O.W! I can tell you right now, it's not the first that we drove 40 mins just to eat pizza. If I am going to eat and consume calories it has to be worth every bite. We experienced this place for the first time a few nights ago. We love it! We got a half Pig half Colossal on thin crust. We will definitely get our next pizzas here. I believe it's pretty much take out and delivery only. If you blink you'd drive right past it. I'll be honest, based on appearance of the location, I had my doubts. I sat in the drive thru until my order was ready. They gave me some free garlic cheese knots because my order was a little late.... Maybe 5 minutes. It was worth the wait. I ate a garlic knot on the way home. Delicious!! I knew the pizza had to be good as well. Can't wait to go again. The owners are going to be my new friends. I'm a pizza snob. Picked up a pizza here on 10/21/2014 Ordered med. extra pepperoni and sausage, it was ok, not really tell all my friends they have to try it. They use the bulk package sausage that basically all the chain pizza places use, I don't particularly care for, don't want to really knock them but there pizza is basically average. Other people on Yelp gave them fairly high marks, I guess I just wasn't nearly as impressed as the others... It's your traditional hand tossed pizza. read more

Always looking to try a new pizza spot, we tried this last weekend on a whim. We have a couple of go to options closer to home and this place was a good 15-20 minute drive. Failing to recognize we would arrive during peak pickup and delivery times on a weekend without calling ahead, I did not go away disappointed from driving out of my way and waiting for our pizza. The wait wasn't exceptionally long given my poor planning. In fact they were in such a rush getting orders taken down, pizzas made, in and out of the oven, and out the door, that they actually burnt one side of our pizza! Stick with me here... don't stop reading after that! I even over heard one of the girls tell another girl quietly as she was slicing it, that it is supposed to have extra cheese (as per the menu, not my request) and it didn't have enough cheese. I honestly wouldn't have noticed anything differently had I not caught the exchange. The pizza was great! There aren't too many places that I could think of that I would try on my first time, experience a "long" wait (fully a fault of my own admission for not calling ahead on a busy night) and still be willing to go back again. If I were to say anything negative about this place it would only be two things; If you don't get it delivered or call ahead and use the drive through, there is no parking! We finally tried Ally's pizza and were very happy with our food. We ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza, and an order of cheese rolls and pizza rolls. WAY more food than I expected. The pizza was delicious, dough didn't have a ton of flavor but I liked how thick and heavy the crust was on the edge, while still thinner on the inside. We had tons of food leftover and it tasted great reheated the next day. Will definitely have Ally's again. read more

I usually love ally's pizza. With that being said, I was disgusted with their service last night. I placed a to-go order. When I got home and opened the pizza box they had given me the wrong pizza. I called them back to let them know and When the guy told the woman she gave us the wrong pizza, she was very defensive and loudly insisted that I was wrong and that she had given me the right pizza. I am not blind and can tell the difference between pepperoni mushroom and what should have been bbq chicken. Their resolution was to bring the incorrect pizza back up and trade it in for the bbq chicken pizza. We were not offered anything to make up for our wasted time or their mistake. pass this place on my way to the gym. Saw the good yelp reviews and thought we'd try it out. they don't have an online menu (kind of inconvenient) but were nice on the phone. They have a different take on a Hawaiian pizza but it was REALLY good. The cheese pizza bites and pepperoni pizza bites were really good too. Will probably make this my new pizza joint. We used their drive through but they do have free delivery, even to our house several miles away. They are priced really well but not as cheap as the 10 or 11 bucks for any size pizza deals you can get at pizza hut or the other franchises right now. think I paid 13 or 15 for extra large Hawaiian. pizza bites were 85 cents, cheese bites were 55 I believe. I really enjoyed the . It hot the spot. Lots of cheese which I love. I wouldn't say it's an award winning pizza just a good old school one that's some right. Now the cheese rolls, I could eat way to many. In fact I did. They are legit! The building itself looks pretty sketchy, really old and boarded up.
