I contacted Alltranz, which I think has a different business name as they now do a lot more than transmissions, when my partner was stuck on the side of the road with no cell phone service. She needed a new alternator and their pricing was totally reasonable. Plus they gave her a ride home from the shop. Many service mechanics can get kind of shady when dealing with a woman, but these guys were straight up and didn't push her into, or even suggest, any services she didn't need. My son was having trouble starting his car. Auto Zone tested his battery and told him that he needed an new alternator. They called and said that they fixed the problem and that he did not need anything. My son picked up his car and they did not charge him anything. They could have charged him close to $800. I brought my 2013 Ram 3500 Diesel here about a year ago, as I had a check engine light on. With out charging me, he diagnosed it (something that most places charge 300 dollars to do because it is a diesel) and let me know that a sensor was out, it would be 1600 dollars to replace, but there was no need to actually replace it. I walked out spending 0 dollars thanks to his honesty. 1 year late, which was this past Friday, I brought my truck to him with a couple things going on. He got it all fixed, quickly, and for a very reasonable price. He again called me and gave me the list of things that needed to be fixed, and let me know the "needs to happen" "should happen" and not necessary but ill tell you anyway. I will continue to go back to him purely for his honest in the work he is doing. Oh, and my truck is running a TUN smoother since he worked on it. Excellent service. read more

I have recently started taking all my vehicles to Mike at Alltranz (I think it is also called Four Points Automotive). The name is misleading because it is a complete auto repair shop. The customer service that Mike and his crew (Darryl & Andrew) provide is unbelievable. They are very patient. They are very thorough. Pricing is good and quality of work is great. It is just an all around great experience to work with them. I wish I would have found them sooner, after living here for 30+ years, I think I have finally found an automotive repair shop I can now call "my Mechanic shop" for everything. They do it all; oil change, inspections, transmissions, brakes, tune ups, tire repairs, etc. When I dropped my car off for a diagnostic check, they even gave me a ride back home (5+ miles away) ...... Where to start? Incompetence! If I had to find one word to describe our experience with these people it would be incompetent! We saw a sign advertising a free diagnostics test. We asked if it was a more in depth inspection compared to simply running the codes (which we'd already done at AutoZone) and was assured it was. We were able to determine the problem (or so we thought) bought the part and paid for them to put the part in. When the check engine light remained on, we went back to determine what the problem was. They'd replaced the wrong part! After arguing with them that they'd replaced the wrong part, they determined they did and quickly (within 5-10 minutes) fixed the issue. We paid $140 for unnecessary labor (1.4 hours) due to incompetence on their side! It wasn't a difficult part to replace! It took them, at most, 10 minutes to replace. We should've only paid for 10 minutes of labor. When the check engine light STILL didn't go away, my boyfriend started doing more research and determined that the issue could simply be low voltage in our battery. We called and asked if they'd tested our battery, they didn't! Free "in-depth" diagnostics? They didn't even test the charge in our battery! Something so simple was just skipped over! We paid $140 for a half fast diagnostic test and unnecessary labor! We will NOT use them again. read more

I recently went here for issues I was.having with my transmission. I had originally called Leif Johnson and Covert. Covert didn't return my call and Leif Johnson said it would be a month before they could look at it. Mike arranged for a ride back to my house so he could look at it and determined it was the transmission. He called Covert and confirmed it was under warranty and gave me a contact to get it taken care of. read more

Mike was a great help to me. He was knowledgeable and helped get my wife's yukon transmission oil changed. This was something that other mechanics were not comfortable doing. I found out that Mike has a full service shop there, and does more than just transmissions. BUYERS beware!!!! DO NOT use this shop unless you want to get robbed!! This mechanic advertises he is a diesel mechanic he is NOT and has very little knowledge of diesel vehicles in general. We had our diesel truck towed here as we couldn't get the truck to start and were not sure why. Mike told us it was a fuel pump and was going to charge us $1200 stating that the fuel pump alone was $700. My husband knew that the fuel pump did not cost that much so he ordered it for $350 and installed it himself. In hopes that the truck would start and we could take our truck home from this horrible shop. After that the truck still didn't start and it turns out it wasn't the fuel pump at all. They looked at it again as we still couldn't move the truck and said it was the FICM ( fuel injection computer module) and it was going to be $1183. Mike said the module cost was $600 plus it had to be programmed and installed. After doing some research we found out that ALL FICM's are already programmed and ordered one own from a part store for $106. What we came to find out is that Mike will rob you blind and if you don't do your research it will not go good for you. At the end of the day Mike charged us $400 for work he did before even calling us to get it approved. I strongly warn anyone who has mechanical problems NOT to take your vehicle to this shop!! A good honest mechanic. Mike and his guys at Alltranz are the best. I went here with transmission issues, they got me in immediately for the diagnosis and confirmed what the problem was. My transmission was toast. They ordered me a new one and when it came in had the install done in about a day. Came with a great warranty too. I like these guys so much I had them do some other work for me. I usually do my own mechanic work because I had not found a good honest mechanic until I found Mike and his crew. They didn't try to hustle me, or sell me stuff I didn't need. They are the real deal, their service is fast, and their rates are reasonable.
