Update: I have been trying to get the tree stump removed that was left from before. I have called a few times and being told to call back the following week then call again and told that he will call me. I am still waiting. I have nothing but praise for Allstate Tree & Shrub Corp. Mr. Francisco gave me a fair estimate for the work to be done at my Queens home, and he sent 2 professional, very courteous guys who did a great job at pruning the 2 backyard trees, as well as taking down an overgrown evergreen tree in the front of the home. They cleared the branches from the neighbors yard, and of course from our yard. You couldn't tell they were even there. I wish I had taken pictures, but perhaps I will the next time I am there so I can post it here. They also did the best they could to grind the evergreen trunk as it was in a challenging location, being the plot of dirt was a very small area surrounded by concrete....but Jerry and his assistant did a diligent job in getting as much of it grinded as they could. I really appreciated their hard work, and the great job that they did at my home. Loved these guys. Called on Monday, Francisco came out on Tuesday. He listened to my concerns, patiently gave me a reasonable price and a work date for Thursday. Bright and early Thursday morning the crew arrived looking very professional they were also friendly and patient with me . The tree they cut back was huge with lots of dead limbs. Excellent service. A crew of 4 came and took down about 25 arborvitae in my backyard. (we're putting new trees in). The guys worked like a well-oiled machine. Before I knew it, all 25 trees were down and they had a giant stump grinder working. They got down far enough that we will have no trouble putting our new trees in. I dont know about the experiences of the first 2 reviewers but I just had trees trimmed away from my house and from the time I got the estimate to the time the work was completed, my experience was excellent. I called on a Tuesday for the estimate, the owner, was there the next day. Gave me a fair and honest price and a date for the work. He showed up on time and did the work. He called my cell and did not want to leave until I saw his work and approved of it. He waited in his truck for 30 minutes for me to come home. The work was perfect and I had no hassles or problems whatsoever. Seems like a good, honest and hardworking guy. Cant imagine this guy acting like the other 2 reviewers claimed. I used Allstate about 10 years ago, was happy so I called them back, what a mistake! I wanted my tree cut back and trimmed, they severely damaged a lot of the shrubs and bushes, did NOT clean up well in the front yard, while working up high they didn't rope off the limb properly and the guy got hit and dropped the chain saw on the roof no one seemed to care, would NOT stop cutting when I told them to so now I have big holes in the tree and sun where I wanted shade, what I didn't want! The limbs continually hit the house, damaged and pulled off a section of gutter. They disregarded my concerns and comments as the job was being done, one of the owners showed up at the end and said I hear your not happy, I said correct, explained why and all he was concerned with was getting paid, didn't even take the time to look at the yard, house or bushes. Look elsewhere, in my opinion, these guys were uncaring, dangerous, just did what they wanted to do. read more
