Very reasonable price. I gave him a call & he swung by a few minutes later. I showed him some branches in the backyard that I also wanted trimmed. He gave me very good deal to combine the jobs. A week later a large crew of ultimate professionals got the job done in about an hour. Left the place spotless. Even threw in adding the mulch to my shrubs. Normally I do a bunch of research before hiring someone. I'm quite fortunate that Howard's Tree Service fell in my lap because it was the perfect job. Good value, great service. Approximately 2/3's of the tree is over my fenceline, the understanding was that branches on my side would be trimmed. The crew only trimmed one area and left a significant number of branches on my side uncut. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the foreman, he said he could only trim branches on my side. The crew failed to address numerous branches on my side. They were here for a total of 20 minutes and charged me $350. Additionally, they failed to clean up to my satisfaction with a five person team. This was a simple job that could have been completed to my satisfaction with another 15 minutes of effort. They also smoothed out a path that had protruding roots that posed a hazard. The crew was very professional and worked quickly. Santos checked with me to make sure they understood exactly what was needed. When they were done, he showed us what they did and made sure we were happy with the results. Plenty of them either took long to respond or came back with high estimates. Some companies didn't even respond at all. Joe and his team responded quickly and gave a really reasonable price. In addition to that, they were able to schedule the job the same day because they were in the area and got there within 2 hours. The crew of about 6 men chopped and removed the tree within 1.5 hours and cleaned up the area. By noon, everything was already done and gone. The stump remained but was treated for easy future removal. I was super impressed because I considered it a really big tree for Brooklyn standards, but they made it look so easy. Phenomenal job! We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. Save yourself the money, time, and stress -- this company will scam you, waste your summer, and leave your yard in worse condition than before.
