Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

Getting ready to sell my home for sale and have a plethora of work prior to listing. One aspect of…read morethe renovations I needed was carpentry work done on an overhanging patio on the exterior of the home. There was a ton of rotting wood and I needed it completely fixed to not only look great before getting an exterior paint job, but also to PASS INSPECTION. I have gone through extensive research when picking contractors.. maybe 7-8 quotes for each job, including everything to flooring to counters to Paint. When it came to carpentry I was surprised on how hard it was to find consistent quotes. My job was for the most part very vague, Please fix select boards with wood rot on a giantic overhanging patio so that it will look good for paint and also pass inspection. Most people didn't know where to even start it was so bad. Others told me not to waist my time and just completely remove the structure as it will save me money. Others came in as a low bid and seemed optimistic, but when time came for work they had no license. No bueno. Moises on the other hand was what I was looking for. Someone competent who actually understood how to handle the job and articulated it to me properly. Moises actually stuck to his original timeline, and involved me in decision making as the project progressed. On the final day after project was completed, I was surprised to see that he actually replaced/repaired more of the work than I originally thought needed. It was refreshing to work with a contractor who DIDNT try to cut corners. He also cleaned up on both days after his work really well. Moises is defiantly a good contractor, supplies all proof of license/insurance and cares about quality. Will refer to friends/famliy.

In addition, some drywall in the ceiling below the toilet also needed to be patched and painted. I was overwhelmed with doing this project myself, mostly because I didn't want to mess up the floor and have the toilet rock back and forth. I reached out to JPH and I'm so glad I did. Everyone showed up in masks, were professional, and did a fantastic and fast job. They got this small project done in a day, and the price was extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of the work done. After this experience, I also reached out to JPH for a second project. Last week, they installed a whole home soft water softening system I bought from Home Depot. This job was also done in a day, and I'm very happy with the job. There was a small leak at one of the connections, but they came promptly to come patch that up. Overall, I'm glad to have found JPH--they're the general contractor who will be receiving business from me for years to come.

Greg provided us with ideas and quotes and Chad's project management skills and communication exceeded our expectations. The people that work for them (plumbers, electricians, drywall installers, painters, cabinetry, etc) are all family owned professional businesses. We were always communicated what the next step would be and who would be performing it. Chad and Greg offer services that include honesty and competitive pricing. You will not lose sleep when hiring the Gilberts for your construction project. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

Our first remodel was an above the garage addition with two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room space, large closet and balcony. Last year we remodeled our kitchen (knocked down a wall, added several square feet of counter space, high end cabinets and a bar), and this year we remodeled our two downstairs bathrooms (relocated a toilet and sink, all new shower and bath, new floors and tiles). Honestly our house looks like it went through one of those home remodeling television shows. We love Gilbert Construction because they are able to take our somewhat fuzzy remodeling ideas and turn them into something spectacular. And they are able to take on any part of the project and clearly have the knowledge and skills to handle complex jobs. We love that it's a family run company that we've come to know and trust over the last several years. Their prices are extremely reasonable and fair. Chad and Greg have a lot of ideas that add small touches to a project that really complete the space. For us it was things like centering the kitchen sink with our kitchen window, using the hexagonal shower floor tile as a backsplash for our bathroom vanity, etc. that really added to the final look of our remodels. We wholeheartedly recommend using Gilbert Construction.
