Not only is the quality of work that he and his crew--led by the amazing Jose--quite astonishing, but he is a caring guy who has gone so far above and beyond our expectations, that five stars is really insufficient. Mid-way in the process, my wife noticed two issues. The first was that if you came up from downstairs you could see the raw plywood, unfinished underside of the island's overhang. But worse, our cabinet guy neglected to tell Pat and his guys that our fridge was supposed to be framed with the cabinet above it extended out to be flush with the front. When we pointed this out to Pat, not only did we get no push-back from him, but he had them re-order the fridge side panels at no cost to us, then re-used the existing panels redo the island's top so that the underside of the overhang had the same finish as the rest of the cabinets, and then surprised us by using the rest of the material to build a cross-beam for our island lights, one that looks so sharp and clean that you'd think it had been designed that way. Frankly, I don't know if I do anything as well as they do their work, and if we ever have any kind of construction work in the future, Pat darn well better be available as I can't imagine using anyone else.

We couldn't be happier with him and his crew!!!!!!! Pat and Jose (his main employee) were so easy and pleasant to work with!!! Throughout the whole process, they were very approachable and extremely honest. I think it's really hard to find a contractor/ construction company that has integrity like Pat and his crew. He never tried to up sell or nickel and dime us. He even helped to fix some areas in our house free of charge. They worked hard and fast and did a beautiful remodel in our house! If there was ever an issue that we wanted addressed, they fixed it right away. Out of all the contractors we met and got estimates from, Pat was the most reasonable and upfront. All of our friends and neighbors are so impressed with their work, and I have no regrets choosing them! In fact, I tell anyone I know who needs a good, honest contractor to give Pat a call. We will definitely be using him for future projects:)) We highly recommend Pat Aiello!!

Peter was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions while making sure every detail was done right. The workmanship exceeded our expectations, the installation was clean and efficient, and the finished carport looks like it was always part of our home. We've received so many compliments from friends and neighbors. Because of the great experience we had, we invited Peter back to help us design additional improvements for our property. It's rare to find a contractor who truly cares about quality and customer service the way RKC does. If you're looking for a company that delivers beautiful work, keeps their word, and takes pride in what they build, I highly recommend RKC Construction. Our renovation included interior and exterior paint, new floors, lighting and fixtures, fireplace upgrades, and kitchen cabinet painting. While I'm praising Eric, his whole team was just wonderful, but a special shout out to Jimmy. His quotes and pricing were fair and stayed on budget. When comparing quotes, his were similar to other companies, but his customer service was truly outstanding. And finally, the finished work was beautiful, detailed, and of the highest quality! Like others stated, Justin and his partner Brandon are really nice guys - Justin handles the business side and Brandon was essentially the project manager. There were a few design changes during this process. The most prominent change being the material we had to use to obtain the necessary permit from City of Poway. We downgraded from a premium modern block to a split-face CMU block and ultimately cost us an additional $14K. I realized later I had similar quotes for the CMU block retaining wall for $13K less than I was charged for this aspect of the project. In regards to the lack of attention to detail, I had two issues. (1) When we pivoted to the split face CMU block, Brandon told me to send him the color I wanted. I sent him the specific details to a light gray CMU block that matched the more modern aesthetic of our backyard. What was ultimately ordered and installed was a natural gray (tan). (2) It's expected the split face CMU has inconsistencies, however the crew that installed it used a block that had a giant divot and placed another that had a giant bulge, even though there was a decent amount of material leftover. I chose Pacific Concrete because they were referred by my pool company, but looking back I would have approached this much differently. I wouldn't discourage OR recommend anyone work with them. I just recommend to do your homework.

Renovated my 1940's bathroom, taking it down to the studs, and turned it into exactly what we wanted. He also made improvements to our master bathroom. I called 22 different companies in San Diego before choosing a contractor and from the start, I knew we were going to pick him. He was definitely top 3 most affordable. With his smaller company and no marketing side, you save so much overhead cost. His dad was a contractor, passing down a wealth of knowledge to go along with Steve's already lengthy career. His wife used to work in HR so even our unofficial estimated bid was incredibly detailed. Everything itemized and you knew where your money was going. You didn't just get this huge amount. Then in the actual contract, he includes a payment schedule. They use an electronic invoice service as well, making it easy to keep track of what you've paid. All laid out and professional. With someone being in your home for an extended period of time, it was important that we get someone we would be comfortable around our kids. He was great all around, great to talk to (that's how I know details of his family lol) and my kids are actually going to miss him and his crew haha. He's a tall guy but as nice and jolly as can be! Of course with any renovations, things can't be guaranteed because who knows what's behind the wall or under the floor. But he did the best he could to work with us when any unexpected cost came up. Financially fair in my opinion. We'll be using him again when we've saved up for our kitchen!

The quote specifically said PREP and paint and he did NO prep and the painting was very sloppy (see pics) When I asked him to fix it he said it would cost extra. In my bathroom, I paid him almost a thousand dollars to install a bathtub and surround, unfortunately that obviously did not include trim or caulking. (see pics) I paid him $250 to install a vanity which of course did not include installing the top or the cabinet doors (see pics). I originally hired him to put in the new sub-floor, he was friendly seemed to know what he was doing however after he refused fix the issues and yelled at me, between when I had scheduled someone to put in the new flooring, we ended up with another hole in the floor (see pics) because he did not do it correctly. I was open to him coming back to fix the issues but I have not heard a word from him. If you disregard my advice and hire him, please take note that he will not give you quotes until the day of (like 10 minutes before he shows up so you don't even see it until afterwards) and the prices are ridiculous, that mirror in the bathroom was $100 to hang. It did not need any cutting and there is STILL plastic on it so I have to take it down and rehang it. Also, after repeatedly asking him to make sure the doggie gate was up when he went in and out of my house, he allowed my deaf and blind 16 year old dog out and thought it was funny (luckily my neighbor saw him and returned him). He also yelled at me for asking him a question (I don't think I've yelled at the person signing my paycheck) so he obviously doesn't like animals or other people. I would just stay away from this guy, he does sloppy work and doesn't even stand behind his in-writing quotes. Getting an invoice from him is impossible, his record keeping is as sloppy as his work is.
