First I must say I find it really strange that a company who has been in business for over 20 years and claims to be so upstanding would not have ANY reviews, and especially reviews to support their UPSTANDING service. I have had service with All Safe Alarms for over 20 years now. Recently I heard of a system that can be remotely activated and managed using an app on my phone. I thought this would be a good thing so I called All Safe and spoke with Aaron, I told him what I wanted to do and he said this was called "TOTAL CONNECT" and they would have to replace my control box and add a module for my system to be able to do this. But everything else in the house could be used. He said the cost would be $199 and my monthly fee would go up from $28 to $40 a month and I had to sign a 3 year contract. So I asked if that was the best he could do because I have been with them for 20 years, he said the price was $299 but he was giving me a $100 discount for being a valued customer. I told him I would shop around and get back to him. A few days after this call, I received a call from Mike Parrish, who told me he was the owner of the company and was checking in with what Aaron and I had spoke about, and that they had reviewed my records and wanted to know if he could order the upgrade. I said no because there is a price issue, I told him I had shopped around and found I could get an upgrade for free with a monthly fee from $42 - $45. So he asked what he could do to keep me as a loyal customer. I said he could waive the $199. He said ok he would do that and charge me $42 a month since I was a long time customer. He asked if he could order the upgrade and I said not yet I would get back to him. So the next day I called him back to verify that everything was a go, I reviewed what Aaron and I had discussed that I would be able to control my system from my phone remotely and that the $199 would be waived and my monthly would be $42. He said NO, he didn't agree to the total connect, and if I wanted that it would be $399. He said that is not what Aaron and he discussed. He said Aaron was away and he could not reach him to ask him what he said. So I said I would think about it. I got my notes from my Aaron conversation and called him back, and read him my notes, he said he didn't know Aaron had promised me those things and that at the $199 that was a steal. I said well you waived that fee yesterday and now you are not. He said what did Aaron say exactly, and I repeated it and told him I would send him a copy of my notes of my conversation with him. He said he would have to talk to Aaron who was his son in law when he returned, because he was giving things away for a steal. He said ok since Aaron said $199, even if it costs $399 out of the box, he would stay with the 199. I told him he waived that yesterday, but he said no he didn't know it was the total connect. I told him I would think about it, but he asked if he could just schedule me and order it. I said I would meet him half way at $100, but he got upset and said they were already loosing money and giving me a deal. I told him the deal was in the monthly fee for the next 3 years and I would think about it. He called back and spoke to my associate who was confused because she had not spoke with him before. So he sent her a contract to sign. He called me back this week and asked for the signed contract. I told him I had questions and still had not decided. I asked him what did he think he was giving me for free when he waived Aaron's offer, he said just a module to use cell instead of a land line, and he changed his story and said he NEVER waived anything or said I could have it for free!!! OMG!!! and he claimed he NEVER reviewed my file either like he said he and Aaron had!!!! AND THEN... this is the GOOD PART.... he threatened me and said just so you know, your contract renewed in January and you owe us for the next 8 months if you decide to leave and there is a $100 disconnect fee....REALLY????? spoken from someone who just told me HE DID NOT REVIEW MY FILE!!!!! I told him to email me the so called renewal and I have never heard of auto renewal, especially from a 20 year old contract and he NEVER said ANYTHING about this before. He asked what companies I had been looking at and I told him Monitronics and ADT, and he sell well I don't understand changing service for an arbitrary reason and if would cost me $300 if i decided to do that. I told him I don't appreciate being threatened and his story was FULL of holes and he seems to be very shady and I didn't appreciate that either. And I told him that he was a LIAR! He asked what I was going to do, and I said I want to see a copy of this so called renewal and I would take it from there, if I was commented till January then I would possibly stick it out but then definitely change, I would not do business with a DISHONEST company such as his.
