I excepted his quote. Within 2 weeks his workers came out & did a complete tear off. His workers were very hard working & professional. They went above & beyond what I was expecting. Small Project - Under Budget! I had a leak over the kitchen…read morethat drove me crazy for quite a while. I put it off because I was sure it would be horribly expensive and from the looks of my roof - there were probably some amateur workers up there before I bought the place. Tony and the office staff are all fantastic. I had them out to quote the job, we agreed to the price & booked the work. Very easy process, everything was fairly timely and most communications were electronic. In person appointments were professional and friendly and these guys all really know their stuff. The repair looks good and so far has held up great! MOST IMPORTANT PART OF REVIEW NOW - The work actually ended up being way less dramatic than expected. As a result, the original quote (for the first time in my homeowner life) was way OVER the need. Total Roofing & Construction was understanding and re-evaluated my price. We settled up in a fair manner that I probably couldn't get from close friends! Not one lick of 'a contract is a contract' or anything like that. AMAZING. I'm not suggesting you challenge your quote to get the price down, but I am celebrating a mentality of "what's fair is fair". They did the honest good thing and for that I will forever recommend this company for roofing and construction services. A+++++++++

We are on the third floor of a walk up condo, and we have a private rooftop deck. We started…read moregetting leaks in the ceiling in two places in our kitchen, and called about a half a dozen places in and around the city to come out and assess. The proposals were all over the place. Some companies said it couldn't be done without ripping off the rooftop deck and repairing everything. Some companies said it wasn't the roof at all, it was condensation inside the house? Jeff at Rollin Contracting was way more honest and practical in his assessment. He pointed out where he suspected the two leaks were coming from, but said that you never really know until you rip up the roof and move the air conditioner and take a look. He told us that roof repair was tricky, that the guys who said we might have to replace the whole roof could be right. But he wouldn't start with that, he would start with the less expensive approach. Granted, there was the risk that if it didn't work, we would have wasted that money when they re-did the whole roof, but we decided to gamble on a $2000 repair rather than jump into the $12,000 repair of the whole roof. Rollin Contracting was the only one who was honest and open and gave us options. He was also the one who was most confident in where he thought the leaks were coming from. It has now been one month since they repaired both potential sources of the leak, and neither of the leaks have come back. And in case you haven't been paying attention, we've gotten absolutely drenched this May. Meaning there is no doubt in my mind that they successfully fixed the leaks. The contractors that came to do the work were great, they didn't even enter the house. I offered to let them come inside to get to the rooftop, and they said they preferred to just go up and over to keep our house clean. While taking up the wooden boards on the rooftop deck to do the roof repair, they accidentally broke one of the boards. They went to Home Depot and replaced the board that day. Not a big deal, and super quick to fix it. Also, at the last minute (after we had signed the contract), I realized that I had forgotten to ask them about the fireplace, which also occasionally drips water during bad storms. I asked Jeff if he would have his guys look at the chimney to see if they could identify the source of the potential leak and to let me know what his recommendations were to have that fixed as well. He went ahead and had his guys caulk it while they were up there without even charging us. I know that's probably not a huge expense, but it was still a nice gesture to just throw that in. So across the board it was a great experience. Would definitely work with these guys again and recommend them with confidence.

We filed a compliant with the BBB for Rollin's failure to obtain necessary permits, workmanship…read morefailures and lack of professionalism. Please think twice before hiring this contractor - it will not be worth it if there are any uncertainties re: your project and they will say anything to get your job. We hired Jeff to perform some deck work for our three flat. Jeff quoted us $6K to replace certain posts and railings. One year later, additional work was clearly required because railings were loose and Jeff performed an additional $3K worth of work. At no time to Jeff represent himself as anything other than qualified to perform the work. Turns out he never even got a permit for the work. We were cited by the city for non-compliance shortly after his second round of work. He complied with fixing some of the issues identified. When he met with the inspector to review the work and confirm compliance, he essentially yelled, screamed, stormed off and refused to fix any of the additional work. We are now left with a deck that still needs work, $12K later. Jeff continues not to respond to emails/requests for him to finish his work. Jeff misrepresented his ability to do deck work according to city law and code. His unprofessionalism in resolving the issue that he created (he should have just said his people didnt do deck work maybe instead of doing a poor job and then getting upset when someone challenged him to do the work properly) was so disappointing. Do not work with this contractor.

They seemed to be ok as great pictures of all their work posted in their website so i thought. Installing a storm door and replacing old wood at the bottom and side of the door, charge was $350. He even told me, I fix your door like i would fix my house. You see all pictures and video i have on my websites? So, this was a total disappointment. He was trying to charge me $400, i was able to get it down to $350.00. He offered to fix it but when i told him, i refused to be charged if u have to fix it and he never replied back. I sent him pictures of his job. Pictures posted as well. Btw, $350 was just labor. I bought all materials even glue and caulk which he took everything left over with him when he left.
