Exceptional customer service!!! Following two expensive slab leaks under the foundation of my property, I decided it was time to do a full re-pipe. I called Allison plumbing for a quote. I had used them in the past for an unrelated project on a different property and I had been very happy with their work. I am very impressed with the work Doug did on our gas line into our fireplace. We purchased a new gas fireplace insert and our gas line was in the way of the insert being centered within the fireplace box. Doug modified the line by shortening the line. I'd like to add, prior to having Doug with Allison Plumbing do this job, I received a quote from another very popular local plumber. This quote was $400-$700 depending on work involved. When I received the quote from Doug, his quote was $225. After getting into the job and realizing there was more to it than simply cutting the pipe, *I* asked him if the estimate should be modified, he said it should be changed to $350. The guys at Allison Plumbing are the best and the only ones I trust to do the job right. We needed a dishwasher and a water softener installed. After coming out for a quote, we were told that the old galvanized pipe for the water intake would wreck havoc on the new water softener and recommended we replace that too. A quick internet search confirmed galvanized pipe + water & time = lots of rust. Our TDS results were pretty high as well. Once we were ready to pull the trigger (waited 3+ months for the dishwasher to arrive), things moved quickly. Installation took 3 days and was very professional. Allison Plumbing replaced my aged natural gas water heater with a similar make/model. As soon as they completed the job our household started smelling nauseating fumes. Over the course of approx one week, Allison Plumbing's reporting technicians and two of their older higher-ups said the smell was "normal" for a new unit. The gas company came out three separate times and red-flagged it for 'not venting properly'. However, Allison Plumbing and its agents continued to proport the smell was normal and repeatedly turned the water heater back on without making any related repairs. They refused on multiple occasions to help. They eventually re-installed my old water heater upon my request. I went with another licensed contractor who actually volunteered to take the time to find the source of the problem: low and behold the exhaust vent piping located slightly beyond the indoor drywall was partially disconnected (construction defect). I hope they haven't told anyone else who experienced a similar situation that toxic odors like that are NORMAL. Get some training! read more

Allison Plumbing did a fantastic job replacing my main sewer line at a very competitive price. They showed up on time and for two days working quickly and carefully digging out the broken root infested original clay pipe. Johnny showed extreme caution with the backhoe as he maneuvered around our spa digging the trench that exposed the old pipe. Devin did most of the hand digging around mature tree roots and sidewalks. Kenny supervised the job and even got on the end of a shovel himself. They replaced the old line with beautiful 4" ABS black plastic sewer line which will now never have to be snaked again! We passed city inspection with flying colors. The trenching, new pipe and worksite were immaculate. After refilling trenches and putting back the landscaping it looks like it never happened! We woke up in the morning to find that our damn water heater had started leaking. Upon further inspection I saw that it was rusted through and needed to be replaced. After calling a few places I decided on Allison Plumbing. Not for any reason other than they sounded nice enough on the phone and I was tired of calling around. I called probably 4 places and all prices were within $50 from each other so they were competitively priced. Or at least not trying to rip me off. I called in the morning and they told me they'd be able to get everything done same day. Perfect! They arrived around the time they said they would and were professional people. I pretty much left them to do their thing and came back to check on things every now and then. They removed my old water heater and installed the new one. It didn't take very long and when they were done everything looked great. They gave me a few instructions, explained a few things and that was that. It's been a little over a month now and everything is working great. Overall I think they did a great job but the missing star is due to the fact that they could have left the work area a little cleaner. No biggie but also not 5 stars. Had a small drip under bathroom sink, and decided to replace valve shut-offs since they were very old. Doug came - very nice guy, knew what he was doing. Worked about an hour as predicted and replaced the two valves and hoses. The only concern I have is the price - total parts from Home Depot were about $30, plus an hours work. The cost: $350. My contractor friend called that the: "you don't know how to do it yourself" tax.
