Good luck working with these people. We got a gate installed to our alley a few years ago by Allied Iron and it was a pain in the ass to get the job completed. However, we thought the price was fair and the metal work was good. So when we needed another gate at a new property we tried again. We stopped in on a Saturday to discuss our plans and the guy staffing the place was on the phone talking to a friend and completely ignoring us. After 2 weeks we finally got some last to help get our design finalized. She was nearly worthless the guy manning the shop on Saturday. Lots of back and forth but never a design as promised perpetually. After 6-8 weeks we finally gave up and went with Triple B out of Mesa. I'd suggest anyone looking try elsewhere too. read more

You definitely get a lot out of reading the reviews, good and bad. Especially when the reviews call out an individual multiple times. And my review is calling him out as well. If you can work with anyone other than Mike Lee at Allied Iron, do it! We were in the showroom on 8/21/21 and talked to Mike for some time about everything ironworks and their company. We really liked the products and styles they offered. I collected the information that we discussed the day before and took pictures of our from door and windows we wanted to put a security (storm) door on including the windows. I emailed all of that information to Mike including measurements etc. on 8/22/21. And then nothing. Zero. Nada! My wife was getting tired of not hearing anything so she called his direct line on 8/27/21 and left a voicemail. And after still not getting anything back from him she called the main number and the lady that answered the phone told her that he was in and transferred her. He actually answered. She discussed with him about what we wanted again. Then, nothing. AGAIN!! Talk about crappy customer service! I am not saying don't shop here, because they do have nice stuff and other reviewers are very happy with what they have purchased. Horrible customer service! We worked with Mike Lee, our salesman, who was rarely available bec he said he pulls his trailer to vacation in Rocky Point...unbelievable apathy of Allied Iron's employees!! Long story short, we bought a security door from them that was messed up from the beginning. They delivered the style of door we ordered but it was 1/2 the size that we ordered. They still put it on their truck and delivered it without checking order! I really don't know how they keep their doors open! Then, we had an issue within the 2 yr warranty, and after two mos of leaving msgs, and without a call from the mgr, the mgr finally sent out their rude "tecnician", Levi, to assess the scratches that our small dog left. Levi came out to inspect knowing he wasn't going to do anything, but, only to talk usinto circles. Without going into further detail, Levi left and said the mgr would get back to us but never did. Funny part is, this was our 3rd security door we bought from them... So very disappointing to experience bad customer service from a company. read more

Looked at different options and went over materials to be used. We showed him what we wanted and he gave us a quote. He insured us that he'd get back to us on the final design within a few days but we never heard back from him. My husband called multiple times and even left a message with another worker. Nothing! We wanted this done pretty quick as we just moved into our new home. Ended up booking with another company who has been very responsive and has been giving us excellent service. I made several comments about the new door with the pictures but let me add...no regrets, none in our choice. The cost was the lowest of the three bids and the quality and installation was beyond our expectations. Best of all we got rid of the old double security doors, the half light double inside doors (each with two locks) and now are down to one lock. The inset door windows open for great airflow and our security is not compromised one bit. Did i mention? The door is drop dead gorgeous. Installed a RV gate for us that constantly blows open with the wind basically defeating the purpose of having a gate if it doesn't secure anything. Customer service to fix their faulty installation has been almost nonexistent. It appears we will need to hire another company to fix their poor workmanship. We had dealt with Allied for well over a year. We had worked with Daleana and she gave us a quote ASAP. I became very ill was incapacitated for several months. I contacted her back earlier this year and she remembered me. She picked up right where we had left off. Fast forward to now and we now have a very beautiful iron door for our entryway. We recently purchased a new front door from Allied Iron and just had it installed today. First off, our sales consultant Derrick Nix was a pleasure to work with. He did a great job of going through all the various options we had, explained the whole process to us, and was very responsive with any follow up questions we had. A few weeks after ordering the door and doing the final measurements we were notified that the fabrication of the door was complete and given the option of coming in to see it and sign off for powder coating and glass install. That whole process was a breeze as well and the staff was super friendly as well. Finally came the schedule of the install which was done easily via email. The day of install two guys showed up about 5 minutes before the hour window we were provided and got to work right away. The install process took about 5 hours and the guys did a phenomenal job. I requested a quote for five gates. The estimator didn't know the difference between iron and steel, what's more, he insisted that the two were interchangeable. He stated that his company could not attach one of the gates to masonry, however, three of the remaining four gates would also be attached to masonry. This city, this beautiful sprawl I've called home for many years, could do without this unbelievably incompetent, clueless, and crooked business. There are other words I could have chosen - they've tested my fuse as a man whom is more than willing to append 4 letter words. But why would I use such harsh language? And yet somehow still be legally in bed with them? I shall itemize their grievances for the benefit of the reader: - Their communication is abysmal - expect long delays (10 business days +) for any inquiries, small or large. - Expect meaningless apologies, they will apologize and apologize yet refuse to change their standard of practice. This goes for ALL areas of their business. - While they produce beautiful products, they very slyly refuse to offer any options in the beginning and as the consumer, you must constantly pull them for information. If you do not, they will remain unapologetic for their salesmen not performing their duties as promised and then blame you, the customer. Don't believe me? I have the emails to prove it. - They will eventually refuse service, even after you constantly badger them for information, simple basic information that should be readily available on their website (which is not by the way). - Be wary of their manager(s). They are not to be trusted. Do yourself and your family a favor - find a different vendor to find your security door solutions needs. Contacted Allied Iron about 3 weeks ago and scheduled a meeting for a quote. Mike Lee from Allied Iron came out and we spoke about my request for a new iron gate for my courtyard. He took measurements and then I asked if I could see some samples. My wife & I were invited to the showroom same day. After meeting Mike at the showroom that day, he promised to back to us with a quote and design for our project. 2 weeks later I sent a follow up message due to not hearing from Mike. No response. Super disappointed in this company. Ordered several gates from them, said it would be 10 weeks or so which is understandable. When I had to do the final approval, I had questions, which I emailed and called the rep about, whom NEVER got back to me. I had to have the gate approved either way because I was having a pool built and was having final inspection soon. Once the gates got here, the finish was wrong, the closing springs were missing (which I needed for the final inspection) and two of the gates were too short. The manager came out to look things over,said he would look into it and I never heard back. When I told the manager about the sales rep not responding to my calls or emails, he told me he was known for doing this. WHY DOES HE STILL HAVE A JOB WITH YOU THEN?! I spend THOUSANDS of dollars with this company. HORRIBLE service. And VERY expensive mistakes that I had to pay for. I DO NOT recommend anyone use this company. Find another. read more

They have a shop that does all of the welding and assembly in Tempe.
