After spending $20,000 on doors, our screens would pop out of the frame. They came out to repair the screens for a $65 trip charge. After having to fix them several times, the person repairing it said they should have been installed longer so they would not keep popping out. Ends up they installed the screens too short and instead of fixing it said they will fix them when required. They started charging me a $65/trip fee. So now I told them let's just fix them properly. They now want to charge me $375 per trip to just repair them. Not correct their original mistake. Very disappointed. No longer recommending this company. read more

Since my real appointment was for the Saturday before (so he's 6 days late), in the afternoon-not 7:30 in the morning, and with Delaina (who, I assume, is a woman), I was like, "WTF?" Got texts, setup 8am visit as the new guy said he had to be in the showroom from 10-4. He no showed at our house after getting all our information. Somewhere in there called their mainline and talked to another guy who was snippy when I asked him questions about the doors, real slow pitch questions. He was the one that set us up with the no show guy. You get the picture. These guys are either very disorganized, unprofessional or business is so good they are getting too big for their britches as my grandma would say. They were the first company I contacted to get a quote for a custom court yard gate. I filled out the online Request a quote and sent an email. After 3rd attempt, I received a call back and she scheduled a sales guy to come out 2 weeks from then. The guy came out (was a little late) but literally looked like he rolled out of bed- work polo was completely wrinkled. We looked through the laptop at gates, found a pattern and picked a color. Was disappointed they didn't do custom work as our entry is unique. He had my email and phone #. We expected to receive a quote. HE NEVER EMAILED, CALLED, or sent a quote. My door was installed yesterday, and WOW - what a fantastic improvement! While I would have liked to have had the door the day after I ordered - I will say it was worth the wait - just over two months. It was great to be able to be able to preview the door in fabrication locally, too. I had an oil rubbed bronze lock on hand that connects into my security system and they installed that as well. Our door is amazing! The craftsmanship is beautiful. The process from start to finish was about 8 weeks, just what we were told. Wow a company that delivers on time! The door weighs over 500 pounds and you can feel how solid the door really is when you open and close the door. The two guys that came to install the door did a fantastic job, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They did have to come by a second time to do the trim work. Since everything is custom, they had do another measure for the trim once the door was in but within one week of the door install they were here finishing everything. The trim on the floor also looks fantastic, making the transition from the tile to the door frame look seamless. We did get other quotes, and some were more expensive and some were less. We chose Allied because we felt that the staff at Allied really listened to what we wanted, cared about what we had to say and were very professional. She allowed us to walk through their manufacturing area and see a lot of doors and they were currently working on, and there was even a guy in their working on a Saturday finishing his weeks workload. First time I hired them they delivered a simple door to satisfaction. Recently tried another larger project with them and they completely dropped the ball. Mere days after paying them 50% ($1400) upfront we decided to change the finish of our doors to a pitina. No change in design, just the finish. Suddenly no one wants to talk to us although the delivery date was still 8-10 weeks away... spent days chasing... was finally told "take it or leave it..." we chose to leave it and they helped themselves to $150 before returning the rest. We recently had our new door with screen installed. It is the best improvement we have made to our home to date. We now have more natural light in our foyer, and with the desert breezes, the screen allows for a wonderful cross breeze.
